Chapter Nineteen

(A/N I'm going to change it so that England, Spain, and Mexico stayed. ClassyAmerica helped me out with this chapter.  Sorry it took so long, you did help me five months ago...  I managed to force myself to write, and it was just as much fun as I expected it to be!  Anyway, enjoy!)

Texas was crying. . . Since this is a highly Nexas chapter, predictably New York heard and came in.

Texas, upon hearing the door open, looks up. "H-hey Yorkie," he said, using that smile Americans use to pretend to be alright.

New York scowls playfully. "Yorkie? Okay, then, Texie." The scowl disappeared, replaced by a worried expression. "What's wrong?" He asked in a serious, worried voice.

". . .Trump won in my state." He starts crying again.

New York wrapped his arms around Texas and pulls him into a hug. "He won in the whole country. There were people in my state that voted for him, too. He's from my state. There's people from every state that voted for him."

"I know, but it's so hard to believe that my people voted for him!" Texas exclaimed. "He's bad news, I just know it." There's a moment of silence as Texas sits in New York's arms. "I love you, you know that, right?"

-America passes out from cuteness in the distance. . . caught and placed on the ground by England, who then went back to taking pictures.-

"Yes, I know he's bad news," New York said. "But I love you, and, as you said, you love me. We'll make it through this. Together."

"You're right," Texas replied. "But when are you ever wrong?" He chuckled. "So—"

He was cut off by Flornia walking in.

-America wakes up. "Flornia too?! Jackpot!" Cameras are clicked and pictures are taken.-

"Were we really loud enough to wake you two?" asked New York.

"Eh, it's fine,"  Texas said.  "I ship it."

"What!?"  California said.  "B-but we don't l-like each other..."  California nervously chuckles.

"Yeah, that's totally what you said when you were kissing at our double date,"  New York said.  "I ship it too."

"But we all know that dad and old man England are the ultimate shippers,"  Texas said, laughing.

"Yeah, they're pretty crazy at shipping,"  California said.  "I never expected dad to be like that."  She holds Florida's hand.  Florida smiled.

"I'm honestly more surprised about Gramps,"  New York said.  "Japan and Hungary were rather obvious, and dad is, well, dad."

"Yeah, maybe we should go talk to da-"  Texas happened to glance out the window right then.  "HE'S BEEN STALKING US THE WHOLE TIME!  WHA-  I THINK I SEE JAPAN, HUNGARY, AND GRAMPS!  That's it!"  Texas grabbed a gun.  "I'm goin' after 'em!"  He ran outside and gets on his horse, Lone Star.  "Yeehaw!"  He chases them.

-They all run away.  England also tries to use the power of logic to explain that since the states were just talking to them when they thought they weren't listening, that they were even, but Japan tells England that it won't work...  And is right, since it's Texas.-

New York tries to calm Texas down for a couple seconds before giving up and joining him.

-Japan by now is pretty far away...-

"Nuh uh, Japan, you're the first one to go!"  Texas shoots, but fortunately for Japan, misses.  "Fine, I'm coming after you, da- what in Tarnation?"  Nexas was knocked off the horse by Florida.  "Oh come on guys, I almost had 'em!"

-England had used magic to make him disappear, and was watching from a tree.  "Thank goodness for Florida, I didn't really want to see my son (referring to America) die right now."  Japan just sighed in relief.-

"Yeah, thanks, Florida,"  Texas said, glaring at Florida.

-"Yes, thank you, Florida,"  America said.  "I didn't feel like dying. Especially since I'm the one who taught him how to use that gun..."

~Time Skip, they're now in a car going to a carnival~

Louisiana and New Jersey were rather protective siblings.

Louisiana threatened New York shortly before Texas was threatened by New Jersey.

Oregon looked at Louisiana and New Jersey and whispered to Nevada, "I ship it."

"What did you say!?"  Louisiana and New Jersey said at the same time.

"Calm down, guys,"  America said, "we're not even at the carnival yet!"

New York was looking at Oregon, then at Louisiana and New Jersey.  "Maybe he's right..."

"New ship!"  America said.  "New Jersey, Louisiana, pose for the picture!"  He took out his camera and took a picture of New Jersey trying to hit Texas while Louisiana tried to pull him off.

"Send that to us later,"  Japan and Hungary whispered.

After that uneventful car ride, they reached the carnival.

"Finally, we're here,"  New York said.

"Yes, finally,"  England said, but he was thinking more along the lines of "Now I can get lots of pictures of Nexas, Flornia, and...  What's the ship name for New Jersey and Louisiana?  Hm..."

Texas grabbed New York's hand.  "Oh, can we go to the Tunnel of Love?"

Louisiana was glaring at New York.

"Of course,"  New York replied.  "Louisiana, New Jersey, don't look a us like that.  You two can come, too...  As can California and Florida.  It'll be a triple date!"  He quickly ran into the Tunnel of Love before Louisiana could react.

"Hurry, we need to be the first on the ride so we can get away,"  Texas said.  "Holy-  there right on us!  Hurry, run faster!"  The two sped up.

"I don't see what Louisiana and New Jersey are so worried about,"  Oregon said.  "I could care less what California does with Florida."

"Same here,"  Georgia and Alabama said.

"Yeah right, Oregon," Nevada said.  "We all know you care."

England took some pictures, whispering to America, "Your kids are too cute."

"Of course they are,"  America said, watching Texas and New York get on the ride.  "They are my kids.  Where do you think they get it from?"

"Well, you've got a point,"  England said, watching Louisiana.

"We lost 'em, Jersey,  Louisiana said.

England continued, "They are my grandkids, after all."

"That's not what I- whatever."  America walked off to get snacks.

England glanced at him as he left, muttering something under his breath with the smile of a broken man-- I mean a man happy to see his grandkids enjoying themselves!  Yeah!

Sorry about that mistake. Force of habit.

England turned his attention to Florida and California, wondering why he isn't able to erase that last paragraph.

"...Let's go on the ride, too, Florida!"  California said.

"Of course,"  Florida replied to California.  "Anything for you."

"Yay!"

Then, New Jersey and Louisiana (New Jouisiana?).

"Well,"  New Jersey said, "I guess we'll have to go in after them."

"W-what?"  Louisiana replied.  "Together?"

"Sure,"  New Jersey said.  "Nothing romantic, just to get them out of there."

"O-okay.  But we need to hurry."  Louisiana pulled out a gun.  "I don't want anything to happen to Texas."

"Woah, woah, woah, Louisiana,"  Oklahoma said.  "Put the gun away, no need to get violent."

"What is it with you southerners and guns, anyways?"  Nevada asked.

"Don't say that around Texas, Nev,"  Louisiana warned.  "Guns are his life, and if you talk trash about 'em, you'd be dead where you stand."

Nevada slowly backed away and hid behind Oregon, who blinked at him in surprise.

"Uh...  hiding behind me?"

"Yep,"  Nevada said.  "I don't really wanna die."

"I ship it,"  England whispered.

"Me too,"  America agreed, snapping a picture.

Nexas was talking about how catchy their ship name was.  Pretty much everyone had to agree that it was true.

~Skip~

"FIRE!"

Nexas was separated.  Louisiana was separated from the group as well.

If you "guessed" there was a fire at the carnival, then you're right.  Yay!

"NOT YAY!"  AMERICA YELLED.  "LOUISIANA AND TEXAS ARE STUCK ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FIRE!  THEY COULD BE HURT!  WE HAVE TO GET THEM OUTTA THERE!"

"Be careful, Texas!"  Louisiana said.  "Don't get too close!"

"TEXAS!"

That was New York.

England was muttering something under his breath.

After they finally managed to get Texas and Louisiana away from the fire  (after some spells from England ((yes that's what he was muttering)) and a couple of useless comments from New York as he helped (("This would be so much easier if they were being kidnapped!"))), America could barely let go of them.  Predictably.

Texas watched his burns heal from a spell England casted.  "Woah!  Dad always said your magic was fake!"

"No I didn't...  Hehe..."

"My magic?  Fake?"

Texas slipped out of America's hands and went to New York.

"I'm sorry for letting go of your hand,"  Texas said, "I panicked and--"

"Don't apologize,"  New York said.  "I panicked, too, I let you go.  And I'm sorry."

"It's okay, we're okay,"  Texas said.  "Plus, England's totally awesome magic saved me!  He's probably the only reason I'm still here right now."  He hugged New York.

New York hugged back.  "I'm glad you're okay.  I was so worried...."

England was kind of surprised for being given credit for saving Texas's life, especially since he didn't regard it as being him who saved him since America and New York had actually gotten them, but he pushed away the surprise and took a couple pictures instead.

"Well, maybe we should be heading home,"  America said.

And they all walked to the car, glad that each other were okay.

A/N  I hope you liked the happy ending to this chapter.  Not every chapter will have an ending like this one!

...On the other hand, there will definitely be more of these ships to come!

And sorry about your precious 4th wall.
