Two Strangers at a Bar

When it's a she-day, Grian would normally slap on some pastel clothes and call it an outfit. Sometimes she'll be brave enough to wear a nice looking shirt or dress. However, sometimes Grian just dress in drag.

Tonight is one of those nights.

She was sitting at the very end of the bar, watching everyone else there partying. Tonight she was in a pretty red dress that reaches down to her knees, black heels and a pair of white pearl earrings. She also have some dark red lipstick on, along with some black eyeshadow, that matches with her black coat.

Despite being in a bar, she wasn't drinking any alcoholic drink nor was she planning to.

No, thank you. Tomorrow she was going to meet her brother's friends and it's already hard enough to do it without a hangover.

"Excuse me, miss? Is this seat taken?"

Grian glanced up and caught the man's eyes, or rather eye, as one was covered by an eyepatch. The man had brunette hair and chocolate brown eye? She thinks. The man was clearly not expecting to have come here tonight, judging by his outfit. A plain grey hoodie, a pair of sweatpants and...

"Are you seriously just wearing only socks?"

The man widened his eyes at her. He chuckled lightly, which made her felt weird, while speaking, "You're the first to notice." Grian stared at him stunned. She soon gave him a smile, already intrigued by the man. And he only said three sentences so far. "How so? She asked, resting her chin on her palms. "The seat's free, by the way," Grian answered his earlier question. The man thanked Grian and sat down next to her on the stool. The man folded his arms onto the bar's counter, "To answer your earlier question. I don't know. Either everyone I know aren't so observant or stop giving a damn."

"Huh."

That wasn't... the answer she was expecting at all... Then again, what answer was she expecting really?

"Well, I think you got a nice hoodie," She shoved into the conversation randomly. She wasn't thinking much, she just wanted to have a conversation with him. The feelings seemed to be mutual as he replied to her randomly shoved in compliment without question.

"Really? You could get this hoodie anywhere."

The hoodie guy, she nicknamed, just chuckled and shook his head. "You're an odd one, I'll give that." "Why, thank you," Grian smiled at hoodie guy, who just chuckle again, he turned towards her, now facing Grian properly.

He gave her a cheesy grin and ask her politely, "So. What brings a princess like you to a place like this?" Grian widened her eyes at him, not expecting to be called royalty. Her mouth was just hanging open as her face heated up. "A princess?" She asked, slightly frustrated by him. "I'm just any average pal." "So... Does that make me a piece of shit?"

Grian couldn't helped to just laugh out loud at the joke. "No! No! No! You're just as good looking!" She managed to get out between laughter. Her hand was set onto his shoulder when she said that, her head resting on his shoulder as well. The light at the bar hid his blush from her.

After she calmed down, she and hoodie guy talked some more. He stuttered a first to which she listened patiently through, eventually, it stop as their continued to conversant. They didn't have so much in common but found it really easy to connect with each other.

In the end, Grian had to leave. They both bit each other goodbye with promises of seeing each other again.

Doc watched as the woman left the bar, a smile on his face with the knowledge of seeing her again.

"Looks like you hit if off, bro." Doc continued to stare after she long left. Ren sat down on the stool she previously sat in. Doc chuckled, he thought back to their conversation fondly. A small smile break out on his face, "I love every second of it."

"Soo..." Ren started, causing Doc to turn towards him. "What's her name?" He asked with a cheeky grin.

Doc's eyes widened as his whole world flipped upside down. "Bro, you didn't..." Ren said out loud, wincing for his friend, "Tell me you at least got her number."

Doc covered his face in shame and put it onto the bar table. "Life hates me," Doc got out, his voice muffled by his hands.
