Summary: The hermits escape from the monster Scar refused to kill
~
Scar ran towards the Fantasy District Portal, holding onto Cub's arm as he limped along. Both trying to outrun the creature Scar refused to take out. Cub turned around to notice the white fluffy monster getting dangerously close to them. He let out a yelp and started limping faster, telling Scar to hurry up.
They both came to a hold when hearing an explosion from behind them. Scar turned around to be met with Grian's back, who's hand was holding flint and steel that still have the flame burning. The hippie turned around to greet his competitors in business. He quickly broke on a glass panel and placed down a boat on the ice road. He pushed Scar and Cub towards the boat, urging them to go in.
Scar placed Cub in the back and settled down near the rowing section. He turned towards his fellow builder with a worry look dancing around in his eyes. "What about you?" The dirty blonde just simply shook his hand at the question, dismissing Scar's worry with little to no problem. "I'll be find," He assured Scar, taking out some blocks of dynamite. "I did brought out Tango's shop last time he was on."
Scar laughed out at this, "If you say so..." He gripped onto the rows tightly, ready to do some intense rowing. "See you at the End?" Grian smirked, lighting up the dynamite in his hand and throwing it at the monster still trying to escape from underneath the debris. "You bet your ass I'll be there."
Scar smiled sadly at Grian, knowing deep down, he won't make it out. But hoping never really got anyone hurt now, did it?
He started rowing as fast as his arms allowed him after him and Cub bit farewell to Grian. Making it closer to the main Nether portal system.
Grian stared as Scar rowed Cub and himself towards safety. He let out a smile at this, happy to have been able to help someone to escape from this creature. He turned around upon hearing a roar of anger. He stared blankly at the white monster getting up, ready to tear him apart limp by limp until he was nothing but a splash of dried blood. Grian took a step back as he took out a whole new stack of TNT, relighting the flint and steel in his offhand. He grinned at the monster and lit up the block of dynamite in his hand. "This is for Impulse!"
Scar held Cub close to him as they jumped into the End portal. They came out from the other side, quickly Scar ran up the stairs laid there and headed straight for other hermits. Or at least where they should be...
Scar came to a halt upon seeing the other remaining hermits. He let out a smile and ran up towards them. "Guys!" He called out, immediately catching the attention of everyone there. Iskall and Mumbo jumped onto their feet and ran up towards the duo.
"Holy shit, Cub are you alright?" Iskall asked upon the realization on how twisted and broken his leg was. "Iskall, language!" Mumbo scolded Iskall, before turning his attention towards Cub. "Swedish!" "Cub, are you okay?" Mumbo asked, completely ignoring Iskall's smartass comment. Cub snickered at this, "I'm okay." "I'm so glad you guys managed to get here," Keralis said, walking up behind Mumbo and Iskall, Bdubs jogging up to them.
Scar frowned at the implication that other hermits were eaten by the monster but then again... Hermitville had a good amount of the hermits there.
Scar glanced around the area, spotting all the survivors that managed to make it.
Doc and Ren sat next to each other. Doc's robotic arm was ripped off completely, with only wires sparkling here and there. While Ren had a white cloth wrapped around his left arm and judging by Doc's lab coat having a much bigger rip that usual...
Stress, Joe and TFC were along the sidelines, talking to each other about something. Jevin and Python sat on the endstone, have a normal conversation with one another. And finally, Xisuma was off to the side. Holographic screens surrounding him. Each displaying different images. Some just the same image from different angles.
"Is everything—"
"Goodness no! Guys!" Xisuma cried out softly, everyone turned towards him. "Luv, is everything alright?" Stress asked, worry laced in her voice. "We just lost Grian, False and Cleo," Xisuma cried out, closing off the all the screen.
"What?!"
"They were all stubborn idiots and kept on fighting the creature and telling each other to escape," Xisuma sighed out, rubbing his helmet. (and not face because he didn't took off—) He looked back up at the hermits with a dead look in his eyes. Scar bit his lip, "Are you al—?"
"I'm fine," Xisuma snapped and turned back to look towards the void. "It's not like our friends permanently died or anything." Silence entered the atmosphere as all of them staring at Xisuma in shock. Scar grimaced, thinking back to him and Cub pushing the other three remaining nHo members into the pit. Or at least...
He spared a quick glance over at Bdubs. He thought they did. However it seems like Bdubs didn't remember them watching as he was devoured by a giant white fluffy monster with multiple tiny blue eyes surrounding its giant mouth as its teeth— Actually now that he thinks of it, it's better off if Bdubs doesn't remember that...
"Heya Xisuma, what are you thinking of right now exactly?" Joe asked, walking towards Xisuma. Said man just staring off into literal space.
"Do you guys trust me?" Xisuma asked randomly after a long while. Some stared at him with a raised brow, confused about the question asked. "Of course, why did you asked?" Joe answered shortly after Xisuma asked the question. He turned towards the remaining hermits, "I'm about to do something stupid." Iskall chuckled at this, "We always do stupid things."
Everyone else laughed at the truth while Xisuma remained silence. Soon the laughter died down as they realized Xisuma meant potential perma-death. "Xisuma, what are you thinking about?" Mumbo asked, furrowing his eyebrows. The man just stared back at them blankly.
"Do you trust me?"
Silence entered the void once more. Before any of them could answer, a loud monstrous roar. All them widened their eyes as they turned towards the direction of the sound.
"Do we really have a choice right now?!" Bdubs yelled out, turning towards Xisuma. "Everyone hold onto me!" Xisuma cried out, immediately Ren ran up to hug Xisuma. Xisuma turned towards Ren with an odd facial expression. Ren's face flushed red as he realized Xisuma meant. He let go of Xisuma gripped his elbow instead.
Once everyone was holding onto each other, Xisuma finally spoke about his plan. "On the count of three, we'll jump into the void."
"WHAT?!"
"Xisuma isn't that too risky?"
"Trust me I know what I'm doing. The void works as a portal to another dimension or as a portal to the past or future, depending on the time back in the overworld. But it can corrupt you if you fall into the void at the wrong time. Most times, just killing you. And now the void is about to open up to another dimension right now."
"WHAT!"
"One."
Pounding from a distance.
"Two."
Fearful screaming.
"Three."
It's getting closer...
"GO! GO! GO!"
In unison, they all jumped into the void and held each other close. Hoping to come out to a good dimension. They felt the gravity shifted and saw as the sky turned blue.
Then a trident knocked them out.
