@Magnoliajake123 - How do you come up with what happens in the chapter, do you think "what would a child this age do?" Do you try to analyze the hermits actions and use how they have reacted in the past along with how a child would act to write about the characters?

Interesting question actually…

For the majority of my mortal life, I've taken care of my younger sister for quite a long time now. In fact, I'm basically my sister's second mother. °^°

Half of the time, what happens in these chapters are based on real life situations and interactions with me and my sister, so I usually have an idea for what's going to happen.

Also yes, I do try to keep the hermits well… still acting like hermits, but in kid form. °^°

Funny story actually!..

You see, I haven't seen one Baby AU story where Grian isn't the kid!... Actually there was one book where Grian wasn't the kid, but for some bizarre reason he turned into an egg-

So I imagined the fun possibilities of Grian being the adult and one hermit being the kid, and immediately I wanted Joe as a kid. I even made an announcement about a tiny Joe!

It was then I realized something, something I should have remembered…….Oh wait- I'm a Hermittpader! I've been making HC stories for 2 years now! I can absolutely make my own Baby AU!

And thus, the Daycare AU was born. 👏👏

Somewhere near the beginning of this story, I made a headcanon that the kid hermits don't remember their memories as adults, but they still recognize the older hermits. [Because pLOT-]

So no, Bdubs wasn't scared of him.

As for Doc, he was surprised. I mean, it isn't everyday that you hang out with the kid version of your friends!

@ThePeggyOfTheGroup- Are the little hermits gonna age naturally l, or are the big hermits gonna make a machine to age them back?

Zedaph and the rest of the redstone experts will rebuild the machine again, so they'll just instantly turn back into adults again. 👏

But!....I did think about aging them naturally, and I'll be honest, that's quite something to think about.

While the hermits get to watch the kids grow, you'll have to consider the fact that they'll never see their old friends again. Turning them into kids was like a restart for them. They get to restart their whole life, take different paths and choices, have no memories of their previous lives.

They might possibly have the same characteristics and interests, but they can never be the same people the older hermits befriended.

There's nothing bad with the newer versions of the younger hermits though!..You just have to remember that under all of these cute and fluffy moments with the kids, there's the bittersweet truth that the previous hermits are forever gone.

……..O K a y! I might have gone a bit angsty with this! What on earth- °^°

Do not worry, I am not going down that bittersweet route. We are fixing the machine! 👏👏👏

Trying to depict what a child will do was already quite a challenge, writing them as teenagers is next level writing for me!-
