OVA Chapter #1
(A/N: Okay, I'm not going to use the first OVA because I can't put Basil in that one... but in all the other OVAs I'm going to put Basil in there, don't worry ;).)
*First person pov*
"HEY!!! GET OUT OF MY ROOM!!" Jean yelled, and I flinched, then glared at him. "It's lunchtime!! Mom wants you to come down and eat! You already skipped breakfast!!" I yelled, crossing my arms. I don't even know what's up with Jean, he's acting like a girl on her period! I looked over his shoulder, and I saw a picture.... it looked a little like Mikasa. "What are you drawing? A crush that'll never return your feelings?" I asked, then looking at him. His face was flushed red from anger as he got up from the bed, speed walking towards me. "GET THE HELL OUT!" Jean yelled, then pushing out of his room. "H-Hey!" I yelled as he literally threw me out. I lost balance, and fell backwards, my back hitting the wall of the hallway. "Ow...." I groaned as he slammed the door. Just what is wrong with him... I can't believe he would treat me like this only after living with him for a week... I got up with the help of the wall. "Man... Did those times mean nothing to him... We seemed close, but I guess not..." I whispered to myself, then feeling my neck... where that bully held me up but Jean saved me. "Whatever..." I said then walking back downstairs. I walked back to the dining area of the house, where Mom was waiting. "Where's Jean?" Mom asked, her hands on her hips. "He didn't come down... he shoved me out of his room" I said as I sat down. "I heard all the yelling... He's such a trouble child... I'll get him." Mom said, grabbing a pan with an omelet on it. I looked at it then looked at her. "How come he likes omelets but doesn't like scrambled eggs? It's the same texture... the eggs." I asked her, recalling the argument I had with Jean about eggs. "Who knows, he's a weird kid." Mom said, then walking upstairs. I heard a bunch of yelling, and then the door slamming. I sighed as I leaned back in my chair. "I need to do something about that brat...." I said, as I messed with my eye patch.
3 years later~
"Ahhh... it feels great to be back home, don't you agree Jean?" I said, walking with Jean. We were heading to Trost. We were here to do a training exercise... The training was that Trost was being attacked by titans... kinda ironic that it'll happen in the next year. We just arrived, little ways away from the district. "No." Jean said, looking at the place with disgust. I sighed heavily then ran up front of Jean, with hands on my hips. "C'mon, don't tell me you don't want to see Mom, huh!? Be respectful!" I yelled in his face. "Shut up Basil! You don't know anything! You only spent 3 months with that witch, so you don't know anything like I do!" Jean yelled as he kept walking. "Oh yeah! I know everything! I know that you're a spoiled trouble child!" I said as I walked next to him. "What!?" Jean yelled. "Let me tell you your problem. You treat your mother like doggie doo because you haven't got enough discipline in your life. Year after year of literally no discipline, you get cocky. You start to think 'She isn't going to do anything.' because she hasn't! Then, you start to push her around because of that thought! It's possessing you, sweetheart. And now that you've start pushing her around, you start to lose respect for her, yet you don't see all the good things she does for you!" I yelled in his face, anger most likely clear in my face. "She pays for your water, your food, your clothes, put a roof over your head, and that's how you repay her!? Shoving her around!? You don't appreciate all the things she does for you, and it's hard doing the things she does! I swear, I'll kick your behind if you lay a finger on her! Hell, even not showing her LOVE will get you a whooping!" I yelled, then storming off, leaving behind a shocked Jean. I walked to Eren, who was ahead of us. "Hey..." I said as I walk beside him, who was walking beside Mikasa and Armin. "Hey, what happened back there? I heard you yelling..." Armin asked, and I 'hmph'. "It's Jean being Jean... he doesn't want to see his mother after at least 3 years! He basically hates her!" I said, glaring at the ground angrily. "What!? Seriously!? Dammit, I would kill to see my mother again!" Eren yelled, anger in his face too as he gripped his loops of his bag. I sighed. "I don't understand that boy sometimes..." I said, pinching the bridge of my nose. "Have you tried talking to him about going to see his Mom?" Armin asked. "No... I just lectured him and let him think about what he's done.... shame him." I said, then looking up at the clouds. "He just doesn't know... how much his mother really means to him.... how much she loves him... what she does for him... I fear that he'll never go see his mother... and the day she is knocking on heaven's door, he'll regret not spending enough time with her... Doing all the things he did... not coming downstairs to eat his meals together.... talk with her... then realizing that he'll never, ever, ever have another chance to do those things..." I said, tears brimming my visible an invisible eye. "Basil..." Eren said, a sad look on his face. Actually, they all had sad looks on their faces. I wiped my visible eye's tears away then smiled. "Sorry, I just got emotional..." I said, laughing lightly. "I care for him and Mom... I want to fix their relationship... because I don't want their relationship to stay like this until the bitter end. They'll only get one shot, so I'll help them hit that target..." I said as I reached up to my eye patch, then stuck a finger under it to wipe the tear away under that eye patch. "Good luck, Basil." Mikasa said, and I grinned. "Thanks!" I said, and we made it to the gates to the district. We walked through the gates and into the bustling city. I fall behind a little, so I can walk with Sasha and Connie, who were behind us. I ship them so much, Springles! "This is awesome! This is the first time I've been in one of the walled cities!" Connie said, marveling at everything. "They'll be lots of tasty food to eat!" Sasha said, drooling a little. I giggled then looked at them. "Then I'll show you the best places to eat! I know lots of good food to eat!" I told them, and their eyes sparkled. "Really!?" Connie asked me and I nodded. "Yeah! I did live here for three months with that asshole of a brother behind us, so I know this place!" I said to them. "Yay!" Sasha cheered, jumping up and down.
~~~
"Hey you lot." I heard Jean said behind us. "Huh?" They both asked, turning to Jean. "If you join the city guard, you can stay here as long as you like. I'll come visit and see how you're doing when I'm in the Military Police, hahahaha!" Jean laughs, and I glared at him, with Sasha and Connie. I don't know when, but Armin was behind Jean. I thought he was with Eren and Mikasa.... whatever. "Hey... Where exactly is you and Basil's house?" Armin asked Jean. Jean's face turns into a scowl. "Does it matter?" Jean said, while I pointed in a direction. "It's somewhere in the middle of the whole entire district." I said vaguely. "Hey, are you guys going to pop home? Thomas said he was planning to." Marco said, who was behind Jean too. "Yeah, of course I'm going to pop home! But wait.. Thomas lives here!? I didn't know that!" I said, shocked. "Your Mom will be happy to see you guys." Armin said, smiling. Jean turned around angrily. "Shut it, you two!! Just drop it!!" Jean yelled, then turning back to keep walking. I sighed at Jean's behavior. I'm going to make him come with me to see Mom... if it's the last thing I do.
It was time for the exercise... I was on the team with Jean, Armin, and Annie. "Man... how long do we keep waiting?" I groaned, it was a hot day. And, I don't like hot days, they suck. I prefer cold days, it's better. "Until the bell rings... were you paying any attention?" Annie answered, and I stuck out my tongue in embarrassment. All of a sudden, the bells start ringing. "YAAAAAAAARRRRRGH!!" Battle cries resonated throughout the entire district. We start running on the rooftops, with our blades out and fingers on the triggers, ready to use. "C'mon! Let's go farther up!" Jean yelled, then hooking away. "O-Oi!" I yelled, flying after him with Annie and Armin behind me. We landed on the roofs, following Jean to the front lines. "Jean! Are you sure we're allowed to push up this far? Our objective is to deal with the titans that make it through the front line-" Armin gets interrupted by Jean. "Stop being so inflexible! We're soldiers, which means we kill titans!" Jean yelled, and we jumped off the roof. "All you want to do is score more brownie points." Annie said, then flying off. We fly through the buildings, trying to find some titans. I don't trust Jean's judgement... leaving our post. I saw a titan up ahead, and Jean smirks. "There's one... He's mine!" Jean yelled, but someone already beated him to the titan. Of course, it was Mikasa because she's awesome and badass. "Guys! This way!" Jean said, then making a sharp turn. Around the corner there was 4 titans, enough for all of us. I sped up to a titan dummy and I cut a chunk off the neck cushion. "As always, thank you Jean!" I heard a voice yell. I turned to see Jean, who stole his titan. I snickered as I landed on a rooftop. The other titans that hasn't been slayed was taken by Sasha and Reiner. "Sorry, Jean." Reiner apologized, landing on the roof next to his titan. "Yahoo! Yahoo!" Sasha cheered. "Do you guys just follow Jean everywhere just to screw him over?" I asked, sweat dropping. Connie gave me a thumbs up with a cheesy smile. "Yeah! It's hilarious!" Connie said, and another sweat drop appeared on my head. "You've gotten better, you guys!" Connie said, turning to his teammates. "I've always been this good!" Sasha said confidently. "But you're still no match for me!" Connie said, laughing. "But, still no match for me!" I said, confidently. "But we all know that none of you are better than me." Reiner said, and I frowned. "Shut up Reiner, I'm better than you!" I said, pointing at him. "Is that a bet?" Reiner asked, and fire lit in my eyes. "BRING IT BRAUN!!" I yelled, then taking off to find more titans.
"THAT WAS PLAYING DIRTY, YOU THIEVING BASTARDS!!" Jean yelled at Sasha and Connie. I was in the corner sulking... Reiner beat me by 5 more titans. The bastard... How dare he! "I spotted them first!!" Jean continued to yell at them. "Playing dirty? Jean, you sure come out with some baloney. You think there's an etiquette when it comes to hunting?" Sasha taunting him, taking a bite out of her potato. "Don't lay some hunter logic on me, Potato Girl!" Jean yelled. "Potato Girl!? I thought everyone had forgotten about that! Don't call me names!!" Sasha yelled, standing up from the wall she was leaning against. "Yeah!! Apologize to her!!" Connie yelled, standing up for her. I felt my ears twitch... my shipping senses are tingling. "For starters, that whole area was in our zone." Reiner said, who was standing nearby. I glared daggers at him, I'm still a little salty. "Yeah! Exactly!! You know, you're acting kinda weird today, shouting out of the blue like that. Are you itching to see your Mommy?" Connie mocked. "Really?" Sasha said, an oblivious look on her face. "AS IF!!" Jean yelled, raising his fist to punch Sasha. Like a cobra, the wild Sasha and Connie sprung up hissing like a cobra when threatened. I don't know when, Connie pulled out a freaking knife and stuck it in his mouth! Is he planning on using that against Jean. "Stop it, you guys!" I yelled, as I ran over to break them up. "Stop, you two." Reiner said, walking over to his teammates. I grabbed Jean's fist then lowered it. "You too, Jean. You won't make the Military Police like this." Reiner said, and Jean 'hmph'. "When we finish up our training tomorrow, we'll see who can take out more targets." Jean announced. "Interesting!" I heard a voice said behind us. I looked to see a drunk Pixis. All the trainees in the area started to salute the drunk commander as he strides through, surprisingly not missing a step considering how drunk he is. We all saluted the drunk commander as he walks up to us. "Commander Pixis!" Jean greeted. "I'll adjudicate. Your fighting spirit is certainly commendable. However, using an training exercise to win an argument is unacceptable." Pixis said, then pulling out his flask. He chugged down whatever was in the flask then let out a sigh of content. "Fight by cooking."
~~~
I anime fell, as the others leaned in to make sure that they heard was right. "P-Pardon?" Jean asked again. "Fight by cooking!!" Pixis repeated, and I nearly died right there. What even is going on!? Go home, you're drunk!! "Huh?" Jean said, and Sasha's eyes sparkled. "Cooking!?" Sasha said, clearly liking this idea. "That's right. Cooking. A cook-off!!" There was whispering among the trainees. "A cook-off?" "Why a cook-off?" "Why cooking of all things?" The trainees asked each other. "I should've confiscated that hip flask sooner..." The Garrison soldier that was accompanying Pixis said. The female Garrison soldier beside him nods in agreement. Why didn't they? "I-I don't mean to be rude, Commander Pixis, but we're soldiers. Cooking isn't in our remit-" Jean cuts himself off when Sasha shoves her potato in his face. "Jean! How much do you even know about cooking!?" Sasha asked. "Yeah! I bet your Mom always cooked for you at home!" Connie pipes in. "Jean, my boy, I will teach you the true art of cooking." Sasha said, then biting off a chunk of her potato, chewing furiously. Jean trembles in anger, then clenches his fist. "Fine! Let's do this!! Cooking, cleaning... throw what you like at me... If I win, you must stay out of my way forever, Potato Girl!!" Jean yelled, pointing at Sasha. "Good. The battle will take place tonight. Both of you will cook and serve a main course for dinner. Bring your best dish to the table!!" Pixis announced, and the trainees erupt in a cheer. "A cooking duel between Jean and Sasha!" "This'll be worth watching!!" "I won't be able to sleep tonight!!" "We won't let you sleep, anyway!!" The trainees talked, and I face palmed. "I don't even know what's going on anymore..."
Time skip!
We were riding on horses inside the walls... Don't know why though. All I know, is that we have guns on our backs and I don't know where we got them. I don't feel safe nor should anyone feel safe that I have a gun with me... "All right!! It's in sight!!" Jean said, grinning evilly. "Why are we hunting?" Annie asked. So we're hunting... I don't want to kill! "It's not much we can do, Annie. We have to work as a squad." Armin said. "Man! I don't want to kill anything! I just leave it to then hunter so I don't have to do this myself!" I yelled. "I used to play in this forest as a kid. It's where the infamous Colossal Boar lives. If we capture it and serve up it's meat, victory will be ours." Jean said confidently. "What about practicing your cooking technique?" Armin asked Jean. "I don't have time to think about that!" Jean yelled, and I heard something coming up behind us. "Well, isn't this a coincidence?" It was Sasha and her team. She had a bow and arrow, what, is she Katniss Everdeen? "You guys... why!?" Jean yelled, shocked. "Sasha's nose caught the scent of some prime meat." Reiner explained. "I'm not just gonna let you take all the meat for yourselves!! Hyah!" Sasha yelled, then speeding off. "Dammit!" Jean cursed, then speeding up trying outmatch her speed. "Let's go Jean!" I yelled, not because I want him to win, no, I don't want Reiner to get to the boar first! "This is your backyard, right? We have the upper hand!" Armin yelled.
Time skip~
An anger vein appears on my head. We were walking around in freaking circles! We didn't make any progress! It's irritating me! "Jean... We're not lost, are we?" Armin asked Jean, beating me to the punch. "No." Jean denies as we keep walking. "But I swear we've passed that-" "NO WE HAVEN'T!!" Jean yelled, cutting off Armin. Then he points to something up ahead. "Look! This tree... You might've seen a mark like this earlier, but we're definitely closing in on it!" Jean yelled, pointing to a tree with marks on it... we've seen that tree 5 freaking times already! We keep wandering around lost, until we came across some kind of cliff thing. "Jean, be honest, you don't know where we're goin-" I cut myself off when the ground starts rumbling and explosions were in the forest below. "AAAAAHHHH! THE COLOSSAL BOAR!!" Jean yelled, and I gulped. "What... in the world...?" I said, shocked that an boar got so big that it made explosions like that. "AFTER IT!!" Jean yelled, then hooking off with us following him.
~~~
We found the boar... but with some unwanted guests with it. Sasha was hooked onto the boar, barely hanging on, while her teammates were following the boar. "It's the boar! And they're here too!" Jean yelled. "It's fast! We'll never catch up to it!" Armin yelled. "Boar meat... Boar steak... Boar sausages..." Sasha chanted as she climbed up the boar. Armin somehow got ahead of the boar, holding potatoes. "This way, Sasha! Some lovely potatoes for you!" Armin yelled, and I snorted that he's trying to lure in Sasha with potatoes. Nothing beats meat... it's too overpowering. "Smoked! Boiled! Roasted!" Sasha chanted as she kept climbing the boar. "It's not working... The scent of meat is too overpowering!" Armin yelled. "Nah, you think!? It's over! I can't believe they got the boar!!" I yelled, messing up my hair as I somehow maneuver while I do it. "So many ways to cook it! The best foodstuff in the world!! I'm talking 'bout..." Sasha trailed off as she grabbed her bow then jumped up like 10 feet in the air. How the hell is that even humanly possible!? "M-E-A-T!!" Sasha yelled, dragging out the syllables then shot the arrow. It plants itself in the boar's head, killing it instantly and my mouth drops. Forget Katniss Everdeen, she's Hawkeye out this place!
Time skip~
"Behold! Make way for the magestic boar meat! Make way, make way!" Connie yelled as Sasha was riding the boar, chanting 'meaty-meat'. I was on my hand and knees on the ground, blue depression squiggle lines over my head. "For fuck's sake!!" Jean yelled. "It's over... It's over..." I said as I lifted up my head, anime tears streaming down my visible eye and my eye patch getting damp.
Time skip~
We were eating dinner at our table, since teams need to sit together and the fact that we need to brainstorm what we're going to do about the competition. Jean reaches up to scratch his neck, but he accidentally spilled his drink. He tchs then sets the cup upright again. "Is Jean Kirstein and Basilisk Andrea in here?" Some guy from the Garrison asked everyone in the room. Jean and I stood up and made our way to the man up front. "Yes, sir! We're here!" Jean answers the man. "Your mother is here to speak with you two." The man said. "Huh!?" Jean yelled, but the man already let Mom in, Eren escorting her. "Jeany-boy! Basil!" Mom said, and my face lite up. "Mom!" I shout as I ran over and hugged her. "Why haven't you two come home yet? Mrs. Wagner's little boy, Thomas, has already come home!" Mom fussed as she pulled away. "I'm sorry Mom, Jean got caught up in some unwanted competition and we spent the day trying to prepare for it. We'll come back home once it's over! Right, Jean?" I asked Jean, elbowing him in the side. "Jean, you really are a problem child. Did you spill soup on yourself or something?" Mom said, pointing to a stain on Jean's pants from the water. "You can be so clumsy at times." Mom said, pulling out a handkerchief then pressing it up against Jean's leg. "STOP THAT!!" Jean yelled, pissed off at Mom. "But Jean-" "It's fine! Go home already!!" Jean cut Mom off, pushing her away. All the trainees were now looking at us now, clearly confused. "Then..." Mom said as she pulled out an apple from her basket. "These are for everyone-" "YOU DON'T NEED TO DO THAT!!" Jean yelled as he pushed off the apples she put on the table. "Jean!" Eren yelled, then bending over to pick them up. "Jean, you idiot!!" I yelled at Jean. "Jeany-boy! Um... I know he's a problem child but can everyone please be friends with him?" Mom said, then looking at everyone in the room. Mom then came to realization, then started digging around in her basket for something then pulled out a bento looking thing. "Oh, I almost forgot, Jeany-boy, Basil... I brought your guy's favorite-" "JUST GO HOME!!" Jean yelled, interrupting then dragging her to the exit then shoved her out. "Jean!" I yelled as he slammed the door on Mom's face. "Y-You should be nicer to your mom Jeany-boy- I mean, Jean." Eren said, cradling the two apples in his arms. I walk towards the exit to catch up to Mom, but not until I gave Jean the harshest glare as I walked to the exit, then stopping just to glare at him. I go out the door, to find Mom outside nearby, sitting there on the verge of tears. "Mom..." I trailed off. She quickly wipes her eyes then stood up. "I'm fine... it's just that sometimes that Jean says stuff that hurts a lot... I just hope someday he'll warm up to me again..." Mom said, sniffling. "I swear, Jean went too far... He just doesn't get the stuff you do for him... oblivious bastard. But are you sure you're okay...?" I asked her, hugging her. "I told you... I'm fine. But can you do me a favor..." Mom said, then pulling out two bento boxes wrapped in cloth. "I cooked some omelets for you two since both of you love it very much... But Jean just shoved me away before I can even give them to you two... I know Jean hates me, but please give it to him in place of me, please? It's the most I can do, and the least you could do for me..." Mom said, and I took the boxes. "What are you talking about? Jean loves you.... he's just in a rebellious stage of his life, he'll get over it. I'll take the omelet to him, is there anything else I can do? It isn't a bother when it comes to you, Mom." I said, smiling softly at Mom. She smiles back and shook her head. "It's fine, go eat your omelet and do well in your training." Mom said, and I nodded. "Yeah! I'll come back tonight, wait for me!" I said, hugging her once more then running off.
Time skip~
"Maaaaaan, where did Jean go?" I said to myself like a maniac as I tried to look for Jean. He was gone for almost 2 hours now! I turned Armin's room, to see if he's with Armin... which is highly unlikely because they, Armin, Annie, and Jean, went to look for ingredients or something. I knocked on Armin's door, just in case Armin might be in there. I heard a 'come in' from the room surprisingly. I opened the door, letting myself in but then stopped in my tracks with my mouth hanging open. "Armin! What happened to you!?" I yelled, running to his side. He had two big ass casts on his legs! "Basil... I'm fine. I just fell on the stairs, not a big deal." Armin said, waving me off. "Not a big deal!? You have casts on your legs!" I yelled, puffing out my cheeks. "I said I'm fine, Basil... what brings you here?" Armin asked me, making me remember my task at hand. "Oh yeah! Where's Jean? Mom told me to bring him his meal..." I said, holding up his bento box. "Well... he went... He went to go steal beef from the officer's pantry to try to beat Sasha's dish." Armin answered truthfully. My mouth drops to the floor again. "Is he insane!? Is he absolutely insane!? Why is he getting so worked up over a stupid competition! That boy..." I trailed off, biting my lip. "You should hurry..." Armin said, but all of a sudden his stomach growls. He blushes in embarrassment and coughs. "Anyways, hurry!" Armin said, and I sighed. "You're still hungry? Even after dinner?" I asked him, and he shakes his head frantically. "No!" Armin shouts, but then his stomach growls again. I pulled out my bento and opened it. "Here." I said, slicing off a chunk of the omelet then holding it out to him. "Wh-What? No! It's your food your Mom gave to you!" Armin said, and I shook my head. "Just eat it! I'm not hungry, and I don't really like eating food when I'm not hungry... besides, it's just rude that I have food with me and I don't feed it to a starving kitten, right?" I said, holding out the food to him. "Kitte-" I cut Armin off, shoving the food in his mouth while it's still open. "Chew." I ordered, and he obliged. He gulped down the food, then opened his mouth again to say something. "What are yo-" I shoved another bite in his mouth, giggling. "You're a cute one, you know?" I said, and he blushes bright red. He finished what was in his mouth, then hesitantly opened his mouth. "What? You aren't going to protest? Good boy, I like boys who are obedient." I said, then shoving a tomato in his mouth as his blushed even brighter. Soon enough, all the food in the bento was gone. "Goody! Are you still hungry?" I asked Armin, and he shook his head blushing. "D-Did you have to f-feed it to m-me?" Armin said, pushing his pointer fingers together. "Why not?" I said, giggling a little then stood up. "Alright, I'm going to go off and find Jean. I'll see you later!" I said, then going out the door.
Time skip~
I find Jean leaning against the wall, trying to be sneaky. "Oi." I said, and Jean jumped. "B-Basil!?" Jean nearly yelled. "Man, you are really a trouble child. You made me search everywhere for you. Here." I said, holding out the bento box. "Mom wanted to give this to you herself, but being the little brat that you are you had to kick your own Mom out the door! I can't believe you would do that to your own Mother!" I said, dropping the box in his hands. "What are you even doing here anyways Kirstein!?" I said, glaring at him. "U-Um.... Restroom." Jean said, not even making a complete sentence. "Liar, Armin already told me. To think you would scum to STEALING Kirstein, I'm disappointed. I'm going, hope you come up with something to cook at the end of the day, because I'm done helping you. I'm out. Talk to me when you think about apologizing to Mom, and come home with me." I said, glaring at him with my visible eye as I storm away.
Time skip~
"Wow.... what is he even made of?" I whispered to Annie and Armin who were standing next to me. I was planning not even coming to the competition, but the Garrison called for all the teammates of the participants to participate so I had to come. Jean was just throwing ingredients everywhere, cooking. I knew he was good at cooking, but I never really saw how he COOKED. Jeez, my eyes can't even follow his movements. Hell, I don't even know what he was cooking. But the look in Jean's eyes... It's so passionate, and there was something else in his eyes. Love, the voice in the back of my head keeps telling me. But love for what? Cooking, because he clearly loves to cook. All of a sudden, Jean doused the fire on the stove, panting as if he was tired. Is he done? Just what on earth did he make? I walked over to the plate next to him... it was an omelet. "I cooked some omelets for you two since both of you love it very much." Mom said in the back of my head, reminding me that she gave us omelets today. Come to think of it... Jean's favorite food is omelets... did he do this of the thought of Mom? Or did he just cook it because he was out of options? But... there is no way he would cook something with THIS much love if he just liked the food... it was definitely Mom. I smile to myself, did he finally realize the stuff she does for him? I smile to myself, then going to help the others clean up the kitchen.
Time skip~
We were standing on the stage where the battle begins, we were on one side of the stage with our food covered on the cart while Sasha and her team were on the other side with their cart. Pixis, our judge, was looking back and forth between us. "It looks like you've both brought your A-game to this contest." Pixis comments, definitely looking forward to this meal. Shadis, who was standing next to Pixis, steps up to speak. "WE WILL NOW COMMENCE... THE COOK-OFF BETWEEN 104TH SQUAD MEMBERS, JEAN KIRSTEIN AND SASHA BRAUS!!" Shadis announced, and the crowd goes wild. But why... it's just a cook-off. There isn't anything exciting about it, you're just watching an old man eat our food. "THE FIRST DISH: SASHA BRAUS!!" Shadis yelled. "Sir!" Sasha yelled, then pushing her cart towards Pixis. She sets the dish in front of Pixis, then opened the lid. "Bon appetit!" Sasha said, revealing a nice cooked meat. I heard the trainees talk among themselves, envious of Pixis because he gets to eat meat, which is rare in the walls. "All right...." Pixis said, cutting off a piece of meat and popping it in his mouth. All of a sudden, Pixis freezes up, like he was literally frozen. Frozen in delight? Oh god, how are we going to top meat with an omelet? After a while, the drunk still hasn't moved, so the trainees questioned each other why he wasn't talking at all. "It's your turn now, Jean!" Sasha yelled across the stage. We all looked at each other, then Jean starts pushing his cart towards Pixis. "Bon appetit." Jean said as he put the dish in front of Pixis, then revealing the cute little omelet. "Hm?" Pixis hummed as he stared at the omelet. The trainees whispered among themselves again, and I sighed. "Well, isn't this a cute little thing?" Pixis said as he stared at the omelet. "Please. Have a taste." Jean egged. Pixis started eating the omelet in silence as well as the rest of the meat. After awhile, he finished eating everything then dabbing his mouth. Pixis stood up, his hands behind his back. "And now, my decision. The winner of this contest...... IS JEAN KIRSTEIN!" Pixis announced, and the crowd goes apeshit. I anime fell. "HOW!? JUST HOW!? WAS THAT A FLUKE!?" I yelled, laughing my ass off. I'm pretty sure Pixis was drunk... he did had a blush on his face. Armin put a hand on Jean's shoulder, giving Jean a thumbs up. Couldn't say it better myself. Sasha runs over to Pixis, slamming her hands down on the table. "I cannot accept this! Why!? Why did the meat lose!?" Sasha yelled. "Listen, rookie.... what exactly is meat?" Pixis asked Sasha, looking down on her. "Meat is meat!" Sasha answered confidently. "Hm.... Exactly. Meat is meat. It is nothing more, nothing less... meat is simply meat." Pixis said as the sun pokes out from behind the wall, a beautiful sunrise. "That is why... you lost." Pixis said, sunlight shining down on his face. Tears spilled out of Sasha's eyes, then bawling as she clutched the table as she fell to her knees. "AAAAAHHHH! I WAS SUCH A FOOL!" Sasha bawled. "You accepted that guff as an explanation?" Reiner asked, a sweat drop appearing on his head. Dumbass... you don't know the true meaning of that explanation. You gotta have all the other side dishes, like carrots... potatoes... broccoli... tomatoes... all of that. Otherwise... it'll be just a boring meal with only one thing on the plate. "I COMPLETELY OVERLOOKED THE CARROTS AND POTATOES I RELIED ON UP UNTIL NOW!! I TRIED TO WIN BY SIMPLY ROASTING MEAT!!" See? Sasha gets it. Jean walks over to Sasha, putting out a hand to her. "There's no need to be embarrassed. You aren't the only one who just roasted their dish." Jean said, gaining her attention. Tear stains all over her face, she takes Jean's hand, sniffling. "I'm sorry Jean." Sasha said, Jean pulls her up. "It's fine." Jean said, and I smiled. I started clapping, soon the other trainees joined in. "Let's give them a round of applause!! A display of a intense battle comes to a close between these two, then showing the greatest of sportsmanship!" I yelled, and everybody cheered.
I was getting ready to drop by home, but then I heard a knock at my door. I opened it to see Jean standing there, a bag over his shoulder. "Umm... Errr... I'm coming home with you.... I'm sorry." Jean said, and I giggled. "What are you sorry for? Let's go home... Mom's expecting us." I said as I grabbed my stuff and walked with Jean out. "Soooo.... Do you love Mom? Real or not real?" I asked Jean as I stopped in front of him. He just pats my head like a kid. "Real."
