1 month later...

It's been a month. It turned out Jean never had any friends and that's why he was bullied a lot. I tried to get Jean to make more friends but he refused, saying he was fine and I'm all he needs. That's why we're like the bestesr of friends, almost like siblings. Actually, we are siblings, Jean is the best brother I can ask for. A lot better than Alice, that's for sure. But still... There isn't a day that I don't miss them. But all I can do is hope they're doing alright and found out that I'm here. I want to go back home and at the same time, I don't. It's been so long... It feels like I've lived here in the walls forever. It's about to go to the trainee camp, and Mom is freaking out. She complains on how We haven't spent that much time together, because I was just accepted into the family. Though, I still kept my last name Andrea. It makes me feel connected with my family and world... Besides my phone that is. Apparently, they have wi-fi here. God bless wherever the wi-fi is coming from. I still kept my golden eye a secret too, and I don't think I will reveal it anytime soon. I've also gotten a little thinner, too, maybe because there isn't that much food here unlike my world. There is like an endless supply of food in my world. I am currently packing my stuff to get ready for camp tomorrow. I put my folded trainee uniform on the bed, ready to go tomorrow. I recieved the uniform not too long ago, so it was rather new. I look around my now empty room. It was night time, so I was getting ready to go to bed. I heard a knock at my door, snapping me out of my trance. "Hold on a sec!" I shout as I put on my eyepatch. I open the door to see Mom. She looked rather glum. "What is it Mother?" I ask her, worried. "I just want to say I'll miss you my booboo!!" Mom cries as she hugs me. I hug her back. "I'll miss you too. You've done so much for me this past month, and I'm so grateful for it. I wouldn't have met Jean if it wasn't for you. I am forever in your debt." I said, hugging her tightly. "Nonsense! You are my child, you will never be in my debt." Mom said, pulling away. "Yeah... Sorry!" I said, smiling sheepishly. "I wanted to visit you before you go to bed. I need to tell you something." Mom announced. "Yes?" I aksed. "I want you to take care of Jean. Sometimes he doesn't know when to shut up and you've witnessed it before, it'll get him killed. Please look after him." Mom asked me. I smiled at her brightly. "Leave it to me!" I announced. She smiles back. "That's good... And... If you really do join the Survey Corps.... Don't die on me... Don't die on Jean either... He'll be so devastated." Mom told me. "I won't, I promise." I tell her, smiling lightly. "Alright... Good night Basil." Mom said, walking away yawning. "Good night Mom!" I said as I walk back into my room. I take off my eyepatch and got into bed.

Time skip~

Me and Jean were standing side by side, waiting for Shadis to yell in our faces. I saw him walking with other higher ups following him. We all put our hands behind our backs in respect as we put our full attention on Shadis. "YOU ARE NOW OFFICIALLY MEMEBERS OF THE TRAINING UNIT NO. 104!! UNFORTUNATELY FOR YOU, I, KEITH SHADIS, WILL BE IN CHARGE!! I'M NOT HERE TO GIVE YOU A WARM WELCOME!! ALL OF YOU ARE NOW MERELY LIVESTOCK, WAITING TO BE EATEN BY TITANS!! YOU'RE EVEN WORSE THAN LIVESTOCK!! FOR THE NEXT FEW YEARS, I'LL TRAIN YOU USELESS SHITS!!! I'LL TEACH YOU HOW TO FIGHT TITANS!! WHEN YOU FACE A TITAN IN THREE YEARS, WILL YOU BE JUST FOOD!? OR WILL YOU BE A GLORIOUS WALL TO PROTECT THESE WALLS!? OR A MIGHTY CHAMPION OF MANKIND WHO WILL DESTROY THE TITANS?! THE CHOICE LIES IN YOUR HANDS!!!" Shadis announces. I look over at Jean. He was smirking and I sigh. Shadis will mow his ass like grass. I look around without moving my head. I'll be one of  the heroes to mankind and destroy titans. I thought determined.
