Explanation

Hey again. I promised I'd explain so here we go.

I've been trying to work on "The Heir" as well as a different story I wrote a long time ago. One I tried rewriting to publish on here for everyone to read. It's called, "The blood of a vampire".

Now I'm not sure if any of you have read it or not. I'm also not sure if those of you who have read it even like it.

I mean I like it. But I'm the author so I don't think that really counts. Anyway, I received an offer from local company that was interested in trying to help get that book published as a hardcover book and get it out to stores everywhere to be sold. I'm really glad they are helping me with it. But in all honesty, it is really, super stressful. Especially for me because I'm Autistic.

Yeah, I bet most of you didn't know that about me. I have what used to be called Asperger's syndrome. I believe it goes by a different name now. At least I've been told it does in the medical field anyway.

Here's a little history of it.

I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome back in elementary school. My teacher noticed I had a strange habit of repeating things. Not exactly meaning I repeated was she said to be a little butt or anything like that. But if I was asked to spell out say the word monster for instance. This is how I'd do it.

(I'm just gonna type it out. My teacher did video it once to show my mother and the doctors but it's personal and private so I'm not trying to post it to YouTube just so you all can see.)

(This is how my text will look)

(And my teachers)

~~~~~~~~
My teacher: sarah can you spell Monster for me?
Me: Oh. Ok.
Me: Monster. M. O. N. S. T. E. R... M. O. N. S. T. E. R... Monster.
My teacher: Sarah you spelled it twice.
Me: I did?
~~~~~~~~

This happened to me till about halfway through the second grade. Kids didn't understand and I got picked on a lot due to it. Asperger's syndrome does effect each person with it a little differently. Some people, it heightens or weakens their senses: (hearing, sight, taste, touch or smell). For some people it's most or all of these are effected. But for other, they only have one or two effected.

In my case, loud sounds and bright light bother me the most but, all my senses are effected. I'm gonna describe this and if anyone teases me, not only am I going to report that person but I'm gonna stop post chapters till I cool off. Which, knowing myself, may take months to a year or even longer to make myself get on here without ranting at anyone or just plain getting into a fight with someone. Anyway, moving on.

Sense of smell:
I can recognize people by their scent. Much like a wolf or dog can tell if they know someone. A scent is like a persons natural smell. Everyone's is different. Even identical twin do not share the same scent. With twins age scent is rather similar but one twin's scent always going to have something in it different compared to the other twin's scent.

Hearing:
My ears hear things as if I was directly next to it. Say if you're in a large High School. You're sitting in the cafeteria and everyone is talking. You'd probably only hear the sounds of people's voices not the words themselves. The only voice of the people who are either next to you or only feet away you actually understand what words you're hearing them say to you.

But for me, my ears hear everything. I can't flitter out a conversation that's all the way across the room from me. No matter how hard I try. It's quite difficult. Due to this, I actually can't hear my own voice at a normal volume for other people. So when I speak to someone, I often hurt their ears or I scared them with the volume of my voice. But there is an upside to that. Back in Junior High I was in choir, and since most of the songs we did had to different solos or more in them, I usually ended up getting one. I didn't even need a microphone.

Sight:
As I said before, some people may have weakened sense as well as heightened. For me I had poor sight as a small child.  It was really bad. I could read anything without it being at least 3 inches(7.62 centimeters) a way from my face. Years later, thanks to glasses and eye therapy, I have 20/20 vision now. I don't even need glasses or contacts.

Well I think you understand what I'm saying now. I'll try to finish "The Heir" as well as the Thundercats fanfic series it's apart of. But I can't make any definite promises. Hopefully you all understand.

Thank you for reading this and enjoy the rest of the story!
