Lion-O and I laid there in our bed together. We listened to Lizzy's soft breathing and our cub's purrs as he played with a toy in his crib. He was refusing to sleep so Lion-O and I gave up trying to get him to.

"What should we name him? I whispered to Lion-O as I tried to think of a name or two to suggest.

"Hmmm," Lion-O whispered back as he started to think as well.

Suddenly, Lizzy sat upright, bolted out of her little bed and dove on top of Lion-O and I. She shivered and cried as I held her. After a little while she settled down enough to talk.

"Nightmare?" I asked as I rubbed her back.

"Yah," she said as she slid of the bed. She walked back to her own and quickly fell back asleep. I frowned as I walked over to our cub who was crying to be fed.

After he was fed, I laid him back in his bed. He immediately fell asleep this time. I smiled at our cub. He was so adorable.

"Sleep well my little prince," I whispered kissing his forehead.

"Hey Heidi?" Lion-O whispered as I laid down beside him again.

"Yes my love?" I whispered as I rolled to look him in the eyes.

"What do you think about the name Moto Mweupe?" Lion-O asked in a whisper.

"Moto Mweupe? Isn't Swahili?" I asked whispering back.

"Yes it is," Lion-O said smiling at me.

"Since when do you know Swahili?" I whispered staring at Lion-O in shock. Lion-role over and grabbed a book off his nightstand. He handed it to me with a smile.

"I don't really. But while we were looking for you I found one of your books about lions and other large wild African cat. I got curious and started reading it. That name just happened to be mentioned in the book along with it's translation," Lion-O said as he showed me the page the name was on.

"I see," I whispered as I kissed Lion-O's cheek.

"Do you think it fits him?" He whispered as we watched our cub as he kicked his little legs as he slept.

"I think Moto Mweupe is a prefect name for him," I whispered back.

Here's a quick translation for everyone as well as a link to google translate to show I actually researched the name and didn't make it up. I've been accused of this in the past when I use names and/or phrases from other languages. To be honest, I'm sick of trying to fight with people about that so here.

Moto Mweupe are Shahili words meaning white fire when said together. Moto means fire and Mweupe means white. If translated as how we were to say it in English, we'd get Mweupe Moto.  But in Swahili the say it the opposite. So instead of White Fire in English (Mweupe Moto) its Fire White in Swahili (Moto Mweupe).

Ok I'm annoyed. The link does work well to get to the google translate page from here. So just do me a favor if you actually want to see the translation. Just go online and pull up google translate. Type in the words "white fire" and it'll give you the translation. If you click the speaker button it'll pronounce Moto Mweupe for you.
