Chapter 5: Rescued

I begin to pass out when Mumm-Ra suddenly appears beside me. Lion-O's face flashes through my mind as tears blur my vision farther. I could feel the contractions growing stronger and stronger as the darkness swallows me whole. Hours later I wake up to find Lizzy sitting in her chair crying.

"Lizzy?" I call out weakly as I force myself into a seated position.

"Heidi!" She screams as she scrambled out of her chair and tackled me to the floor.

"Careful!" I yelled.

"Come on. We have to get out of here. Father said if you're gone before he returns you are free," She said quickly as she tugged me to my feet.

"I can't, my cub's still here. I can't just leave him behind," I said.

Lizzy smiled. "Lion-O and my father are battling right now. I showed Tygra and Saber where you're cub was. They're waiting just outside the entrance to the dungeon," she said tugging my along as she lead me out off the dungeon.

"Heidi! Oh thank god you're alright!" Saber said as he rushed towards me.

"Brother!" I screamed as I lunged into his arms.

I sobbed into my brother's shoulder as he carried me bridal style and ran to meet up with the rest of the Thundercats. Everyone cheered as soon as they saw me. Cheetara rushed over and gently patted my shoulder to get my attention.

"Look," she said pointing towards the battle. I looked and saw Lion-O running at full speed towards us. I felt so relieved as he skidded to a stop a few feet away.

"Heidi? Is it really you?" Lion-O asked as his eyes filled with tears. Saber set me down so I could go to Lion-O's side. I felt like this was all a dream.

"If this a dream please don't let me wake up," I thought to myself.

"Heidi that monster didn't hurt you did he? Please tell me you're alright? I think I'll die if he hurt you," Lion-O said. He's voice sounded full of pain and fear as he stepped towards me. It was really him. This wasn't a dream. This was really happening.

"LION-O!!" I wailed as I rushed towards him and lunged into his outstretched arms.

"Lion-O! Oh Lion-O! I'm sorry! I should have ran away like you said to! I'm sorry!" I sobbed into Lion-O's shoulder. Lion-O held me tight and rubbed my back trying to comfort me as best he could. I felt his tears dripping down onto the back of me neck as he held me there in his arms.

A small cry echoed through the hallway. We all turned to see Tygra walking in carrying something wrapped in a piece of blue cloth. I felt a mixture joy and pride well up inside my heart as Tygra walked straight towards Lion-O and I. I knew what, or more specifically, who, this little bundle was.

"Here Heidi. He's rather upset. I think he's hungry," Tygra said as he placed the bundle into my arms.

"H-Heidi is this..." Lion-O started but seemed far to nervous to finish his question.
