Hello! Thanks for reading The Hedgehog who Wanted to Fly. I wrote this poem as a part of my story King of the World as a parallel to the life of a character who is experiencing body dysphoria and struggles with her gender identity and the lack of acceptance of her family and society. It can be read as just a poem about a hedgehog who wants to be a bird, or you can apply the transgender rights theme if you want to. Just thought I would mention that that's really where this poem came from.
