~Laxus's Pov~ 

Chase had landed on his feet. You could see his arm was broken and badly bleeding through his clothes. I saw Erza and Coordinator both clashing swords. Both very skilled at the art. "Lucy you stay behind me understood?" I asked harshly as she only nodded looking scared and confused. She never was trained for all this. All I trained her to deal with was bullies not things like this. I knew vampire clans were teamed up but with Coordinator? A demon? Was the darkness working all together? Why? For the Great Power?

It was only a story I heard from Gramps. Whatever they wanted, they destroyed Lucy's only chance at having a normal life. They killed our father. They was now after her. They even had Sting captured. I was going to make everyone of these bastards pay but no matter what, I had put Lucy's safety first. Chase soon had his nails growing into claws as Coordinator jumped and moved toward me fast. Chase heading at Erza to keep him busy. Mira was keeping their small army off us all on her own.

What scared me was the fact she was enjoying killing these guys. Coordinator was able to push me backwards as we she toward Lucy. Plue jumped forward barking loudly as I moved using the lightening gift I had to get in front of Coordinator before she touched Lucy. Her sword going into my shoulder. I heard Lucy and Mira shout my name worried. I grabbed the sword that was still inside of my shoulder blade smirking. Coordinator was confused but that was when she was hit with powerful lightening. From above and through the sword she was holding.

She was burnt, her skin covered in ash. She moved back, away from me fast as she could. She was breathing heavy, everyone couple of seconds coughing up blood. I glared toward her lightening coming off my body. "Any of you touch her and I will fucking kill you, understood?" I asked harshly as soon they all retreated. Running off like cowards. I was starting to think. I was told my old man was able to handle himself. That he was once a great Hunter himself. How could he get killed so easily.

I looked toward Lucy who was rushing to my side her eyes watering as she was shouting at me for being an idiot. I only smiled putting a hand on her head. "This is nothing Lucy. It is fine" I spoke as she was worried about me getting stabbed. Erza walked over some bruises and dirt on her. Mira walked over looking fine, as if nothing had happened. Just like her. "Looks like Fairy Tail dealt with my mission for me" a male spoke as we all turned to see a guy with upward spiky blond hair that went as far as his shoulder blades on his back.

He was wearing a white looking uniform. His orange eyes on Lucy. "Larcade?" Lucy asked in shock. She knew this guy? "How do you know about Fairy Tail?" Erza asked harshly moving to stand in front of us all. I moved the hand on Lucy's head onto her shoulder pulling her close to me. She looked at me her face more confused and scared than before. "I am a Hunter. Well a Hunter without a clan" Larcade answered as Mira soon moved to stand the other side of Lucy. His eyes were still on Lucy.

"A Hunter without a Clan is known for working for the darkness so why shouldn't I strike you down here and now?" Erza soon asked moving her sword to point at this Larcade. He only laughed still holding a friendly smile. "Because I was hired by Jude Ashley so guard Lucy Heartfilla at school. Keep vampires and so on away from the school grounds while she is on them" Larcade answered as me and Lucy froze in place slightly. That sounded just like our father sadly. Wait. School....

"YOU WERE SENT TO A SCHOOL?" I shouted in shock looking at my younger sister who crossed her arms rolling her eyes. "Yeah, didn't Sting tell you for me?" Lucy asked a slight smile on her face. As much as my protection annoyed her, she was happy that I cared so much. I only sighed. The two girls who joined me looking toward me confused. "It is strange she went to school like a normal teenager??" Mira soon asked as I whispered 'explain later' as I looked back toward this Larcade. Something was bugging me.

"I don't trust him" Mira soon whispered as I noticed Lucy's hands were shaking. She had been through so much. She basically watched the old man die. I couldn't get here in time. "I also heard about Sting from Sabertooth getting kidnapped so I came to check on Lucy" Larcade spoke as Lucy's eyes widen, staring toward the ground as she fully was frozen. She didn't know. My hand on her shoulder tightened slightly. "How?" Erza asked as Larcade crossed his arms. "Hunters like me get offered gossip from demons, vampires and elves" Larcade answered.

Elves normally prefer to work with Hunters without Clans to that is believable. "I can help you find your brother. I can get the information" Larcade then spoke as Erza turned her head toward me. She was normally one to take charge but it surprised me when she made me the boss for this mission. "What in return?" I asked harshly as Lucy went under my thick black coat as it only took me a second to understand she was crying. She was worried. Her father killed in front of her and just found out her brother has been captured. 

I moved my arm around her, pulling her into my body. My coat covering her as I heard her slightly crying. "Look into Jiemma" Larcade answered as he wasn't the first Hunter to ever wanted us to look into the newest Sabertooth leader. Sting told me once he couldn't trust a bastard like him and the fact I would've killed him on day one. "How will you get the information to us?" Mira soon asked as her eyes were on Lucy worried. Larcade closed his eyes. "I can't give out my tricks ya know" he spoke before turning around.

"Fine you have a deal, just get me a location" I spoke as he waved walking off saying he 'understood'. I then hugged Lucy fully. This deal with Larcade was not giving me a good feeling but Elves knew basically everything that was going on. They don't trust people that easy. "Lucy I can give you two choices" I spoke as she stepped back out my coat and out the hug. She was wiping the tears from her face. "You can go to school and have the normal life that father always wanted for you or we trained you to be a hunter" I then spoke.

Erza and Mira were staring at me in utter shock. Lucy looked toward the ground thinking. "I will be staying in town to keep my part of the deal. I will protect you and you will be living with me, Erza and Mira during so in both deals anyway. Lucy I would prefer to let you have a life without this pain of being a Hunter" I then explained as Lucy looked toward me her hands turning into fist. "Then we compromise" she spoke smirking. I saw the fire in her eyes. She had a plan. Lucy was smart when came to strategies. 

"What do you have in mind?" I asked smirking myself, crossing my arms. Part of me regretting what I had just asked. "I got to school and try the normal life but when we can you train me to help you find Sting. If I am no good by the end of your time in town then I will stay and be a normal girl but if there is a chance I can help, you let me" Lucy answered offering her hand while winking toward me. Mira smiled brightly looking toward me with a 'YES!' face. Erza looked impressed with Lucy's offer.

"Fine, you got a deal" I answered taking her hand.
