"Aline for the last time do not do this!" I exclaimed frustrated.

Aline was going on a date with her ex, she says it was so he'd leave her alone that he's been trying to win her over for weeks.

"I'm not going to fall for him Arya," She replied.

"If that was true you wouldn't be going," I sighed. "He did this the first time and won you over but he cheated on you. You are so much better than him you deserve better."

"Arya I am going and just trust me, why can't you trust me!"She exclaimed.

"I trust you, I don't trust him and neither should you!"I yelled slightly.

"Even if I do fall for him everyone deserves second chances. We are going in circles, I'm just gonna go Arya, bye." I watched as the call cut. I began shaking feeling overwhelmed my worst fear had been achieved.

Calmly I walked down the stairs and went and day next to Zuri. "Are you okay Arya?" Zuri asked me and I nodded.

Lucas then chimed in, "You are shaking."

"Period cramps," I said trying to make them drop the subject.

"Are you sure it's not because you and Aline just argued," Andrew said sarcastically looking into my eyes. "I'm sorry," He said immediately confusing me.

Zuri coughed a little to clear up the tension. "Anyone want a ride I have a meeting at your school today?"

"That's embarrassing Mom," Kyle said. "No one in their right mind wants to ride with their mom to school."

I did it was always a highlight of my day.

"Arya," Fabian said getting my attention. "Want me to drive you?" He asked and I shook my head. "Who will you go with then?"

"Zuri," I said and she immediately smiled surprised I chose her but she was growing on me. Zuri smiled and we both began leaving while the boys carried on eating.

The ride to school was comfortable and silent just listening to the sound of the radio. I looked on my phone and I got a message from the group chat I had been added to.

Princess: Meet in the usual place

Brandon: Obviously

Arya: Where's that?

Lacey: In front of the school, me and Ace are already here

"Have a good day Arya," Zuri smiled after parking.

"You too," I nodded back and gave her a small wave before leaving.

I approached the entrance and Lacey and Ace were with a guy who was with them but seemed disconnected listening to music.

"Hey," Lacey said while I was approaching.

"Hi," I said back before waving at Ace.

I looked at the guy and he looked at me before looking right through me.

"Ignore him, he's in a bad mood," Ace said.

I wasn't in the best mood either, I gently took out Tj's headphones and he looked at me surprised. "I'm assuming you are Tj, I'm Arya, nice to meet you," I said before putting it back in.

Princess then arrived looking amused, "Someone recorded you beating up Claire made my whole year."

"She beat up Claire?" Tj laughed peeping over. "You take after your brothers," He laughed.

"I hope not," I muttered under my breath.

I saw Brandon race towards us, "Arya I'm doing something, just don't freak out." He said while not looking directly at me. Realising he was looking at my brother's car rolling up was ready for him to have people egg his car like in the American moves to my surprise he didn't.

Slowly he cupped my face and kissed me. It didn't feel forced but it wasn't worth being my first kiss. He had stolen it just to spite my brothers. I hid my relief as Kyle dragged him off me.

"What the fuck Arya," Xavier said annoyed.

"Out of all the guys," Lucas sighed.

I looked at Kyle calmly, "Let him go,"

"Out of everyone why did you have to go for him," Andrew said stepping into my personal space.

I smirked and looked up at him."You are always yelling that I'm unwanted so I found myself someone who wants me." I smiled before pushing him away and turning around.

"End this now." He yelled as I began walking away.

"I remember you were told the same yesterday bro," I yelled back.

I walked to my English class followed by my group of newfound friends. "Brandon, I will fuck you up worse than Claire what was that?"

"It's not that serious," Ace said taking Brandon's defence.

"It is that serious you don't go around kissing people without consent," Lacey said defending me.

"You are acting like they aren't attracted to each other," Princess said shrugging.

"You are making it seem like he assaulted you," Ace said annoyed.

"So if someone is attracted to me it gives them the right to do what they want to me? No, it doesn't and honestly, you just used me as a tool to get to my brothers'." I said annoyed. "You guys defending it are just as bad fuck sake, people like you are the reason people get assaulted and have to deal with it on their damn own because you always make excuses until it's someone you care about. Ace if it was Lacey in this situation you would be fucking livid." I said grabbing my things and leaving the classroom.

After a while of searching I found myself at the room top I sat down at the edge. Dumb I know but the idea of falling didn't scare me as much as it should. I sat there looking at the sky thinking of all the events that had happened recently. I always looked for others to blame maybe it was time I realised I was the problem.

My eyes were closed listening to music I lay down my legs dangling off slightly and my body still on the roof ledge. Someone slowly removed my headphones I opened my eyes to see Tj. "You found it."

"The rooftop, yeah I spend a lot of time on these," I said sitting up and getting off the edge.

"Just keep it secret, the others still don't know I hide out here." He said. I nodded and put out my pinky.

"Are you six?" He laughed all the same he put out his and linked our pinkies.

It fell silent, "What time is it?"

"Lunchtime they all feel bad," He said and I looked at him.

"I may have overreacted, "I whispered.

"No you didn't, " He said looking me right in the eyes. "If it didn't feel right it didn't,"

I nodded looking away from him something in his eyes felt so genuine and I just couldn't handle it, the way my heart was racing.

"Do you want to go to lunch?" He asked and I shook my head. "What about the next lesson."

"What is it?" I asked looking at the clouds.

"PE." He said.

"We are so going," I smiled looking at him.

"Lacey will be so glad to have you in there she's been missing you so much all day." He muttered.

"Lacey is a wonderful friend and so are you when you aren't being an ass." I smiled.

"Whatever," He replied rolling his eyes.

"I heard you and Jayden are the only two who don't hate my brothers. Are they nice?"I asked him.

"Nicest people I'll ever meet but extremely closed off to strangers..." He said stopping himself.

"Strangers, guess that's what I am." I laughed it off.

"Not like that they're like you in a lot more ways than you think." He said before pulling out a cigarette and lighting it in a swift motion, something he was used to.

I took it out of his mouth and put it out. "Don't do that around me please," I said looking him in the eyes.

"Sure... I'm sorry," He said to me as I stood up.

"Actually can we go to the cafeteria, I'm thirsty," I said already starting to walk down.

As I entered the cafeteria lots of eyes were on me but I guess that's the consequence of beating your brother's girlfriend on the first day. I bought some water before being called to a table.

I smiled slightly at Lacey and began walking towards her when Kyle took my wrist and dragged me to his table. Honestly, I didn't fight it, I was tired. Quietly I sat down. It was reassuring Jayden was on the table.

"Arya," I looked up to see Claire talking to me with a plastered fake smile. "I'm so sorry," She said through gritted teeth."Hello, did you hear me," She said annoyed.

"Yep," I said bored opening my water bottle.

"Then why didn't you reply, is she always a bitch?" She said crossing her arms before turning to Andrew. "Like honestly..."

I rolled my eyes and stood up, "You covered that black eye well but it's still swollen maybe I should do the other one." I smiled at her innocently.

She seemed to get nervous so I let out a small laugh, before getting up and walking away.

"Arya, "Lacey waved inviting me to the table. Internally I took a big deep breath.

"I'm sorry about earlier," Brandon said immediately.

"Me too, I can be an ass," Ace added.

Everyone looked at Princess who didn't say anything but I honestly didn't expect her to.

"I don't wanna be involved in whatever happened between you and my brothers." I then looked at my hands "At the end of the day they're my brothers so don't involve me."

"We all good now?" Jayden said sitting down next to Tj.

I nodded then the bell rang symbolising it was time for P.E. This was the only lesson we all had together. I chose sport over art I do love art but drawing under pressure is a lot. I went with Lacey and Princess to the girl's locker rooms where we quickly got changed as we were being rushed by the female P.E. teacher.

When we reached the field I realised all my brothers were in my class. They must put specialised sports together. "Who's this?" The male P.E. teacher asked peering at me.

"Arya," I replied.

"Oh, your miss Arya Heart hope you put the same aggression you have in real life into sport." He said rudely.

"And I hope you put the same energy of being in other people's business into teaching." I snapped back which made him turn to me surprised.

"You are definitely a Heart." He replied before standing next to the female teacher.

"Who are they?" I whispered to Jayden who was standing next to me.

"Mr and Mrs. Smith," He whispered back.

I looked at him shocked and pointed to the ring finger and he nodded.

"Today we are playing basketball," Mrs Smith said. "Choose a partner."

"Who will be with Arya?" Princess asked.

I didn't want anyone to be left out, "I'll be with someone random."

"Who doesn't have a partner?" Mr Smith asked

"I don't have a partner," I replied right before a girl ran onto the pitch.

"Sorry I'm late had a council meeting," She said out of breath.

"We have got you a partner now you won't have to join a pair anymore."Mrs Smith said.

"Hey, I'm Althea-Rai ." She smiled.

I gave her a small smile back, "Hey, I'm Arya,"

"Your accent is adorable by the way," She smiled.

"Thank you, you're stunning." I complimented

The couches began putting us on teams I was immediately put on a team with all my brothers.

"Arya look lucky us we are all on the same team," Jayden said smiling.

The game started and my brothers, Tj and Jayden carried our team the rest of us were barely trying while Brandon and his team were sweating their asses off. A girl was dribbling by me so last minute I decided to take possession of the ball. Looking around I realised I was a little over the halfway line facing the hoop I should score in. Blanking the screams of my brothers to pass the ball I shot and watched as it hit the backboard round the brim before going in.

"Omg, that was amazing," Althea-Rai said surprised high-fiving me.

"Well done Arya," Lucas said before walking past me.

"Next time just pass the fucking ball," Andrew said before bumping into me a little too aggressively throwing me slightly off balance. Because of Andrews's comment, I consciously made the decision every time I got the ball I would immediately shoot or pass to Althea-Rai.

At the end of the game, I and Althea-Rai hugged excitedly we had won the game and had carried our team. Just then Claire ran onto the court so I began leaving.
