Hey, this is a mini author's note. Any mistakes you notice, feel free to let me know and warning there may be cringe moments in this book but they are a part of life. I hope you enjoy reading.

"Arya, Arya, Arya," My mom was shaking me awake. Annoyed I rolled over bringing the blanket with me, "Arya Jones," She said sternly.

"Mom," I whined trying to roll once again.

"Come on it's Tuesday, the week is nearly done," She chuckled trying to get me out of bed by attempting to pull the blankets off of me.

This made me sit up on the bed," In what world is the week nearly done?" I huffed like a child.

She then hugged me tight like she always did every morning without fail. "Morning beautiful," She said before placing a gentle kiss on my forehead.

"Morning Mom," I then kissed her back before looking at the time. "I am late so late, I've missed the bus for sure." Immediately I stood up and rushed into my closet to find my uniform.

"I'll drive you," She said with an amused smile.

"You'll be late to work Mom," I said already feeling bad. I shouldn't have snoozed my alarm four times. "Come on Arya you know three is the limit," I whispered to myself frustrated.

She began walking towards the door. "Rather me than you, plus I'm working late so I won't be able to pick you up from school, go shower and I'll go make your strawberry smoothie." 

She knew me so well, "Mom..." I started appreciating everything she does for me from morning until night. 

She stood and observed me for a second, "Oh it's only Tuesday, do you want blueberry instead?"

"I don't mind, I was just going to say, I love you so much," I smiled gratefully.

"Oh, Arya you are such a sweetheart, I love you more." She blew me a kiss before leaving the room.

I quickly got myself ready and put all my completed homework in my bag, before rushing out of the room. As I rushed down the stairs, my mom came out holding two smoothies in her hand while unlocking the front door.

"Which one's mine," I asked as we both exited the door.

"Whichever," She smiled. I took the blueberry one as I knew my mom wasn't that much of a fan.

As my mom started backing out of the driveway, "Thank you for my smoothie."

 "Your welcome sweetheart." She said as she started driving. I switched on the radio and to my delight, BTS butter came on my mom and I locked eyes. We both instantly began singing.

Smooth like butter, like a criminal undercover
Gon' pop like trouble breaking into your heart like that 
Cool shade, stunner, yeah, I owe it all to my mother.

While I sang that part I pointed at my mom because honestly, she was the most beautiful woman I knew. We continued singing and rapping until the song was over. In moments like those traffic was a blessing as it meant we had more time to be goofy together. All those moments would be all I needed to turn a bad day into the great one.

"Remember when you thought BTS stood for behind the scenes," I laughed remembering when I first showed them to my mom. She was so confused as a singer she thought she had heard of every single artist in the world.

"I was so oblivious back then, you didn't let me sleep the whole night till I knew their names you were a persistent twelve-year-old. I can't believe that was four years ago look at you now." She said giggling.

"Yeah, I'm even more obsessed with them," I laughed and she joined me.

"Not just that, you are on the school's football team, you are an amazing student who follows her passion of song and dance. You have so many options for your future and I can't wait to see how it plays out." She then parked on the sidewalk outside of the school. "Also remember football practice is cancelled as next week's game is being postponed.

"Well in whatever I choose you'll have a front-row seat," I said kissing her cheek. "Bye Mom, have a good day."

"You too Arya, love you," She said as I began getting out.

I smiled brightly, "I love you more."

"Arya, Arya, Arya Jonas," I looked up to see my maths teacher who was not impressed in the slightest. I had fallen asleep during her class. "What's the answer to question four?"

"X=-1 and x=4," I replied after looking at my sheet which I had completed before I slept.

"Correct," She replied hiding her shock, "Don't sleep in my class, Arya,"

The girl next to me Chelsea asked for my sheet which I gave her without any questions. I personally thought my working out was much more helpful than the teachers. She expected everyone to automatically know how to reach the answer without helping us through examples.

"Arya, Arya, Arya," Someone kept whispering my name. I was surprised to see this boy was calling my name, we weren't close, and I didn't even know who he was.

"Hey I'm Liam, I'm in most of your classes... can you come to my party tomorrow." He then handed me the invitation. Everyone was now awaiting my answer. I was technically part of the popular group of the school.

My best friend Aline had formed a popular group when we entered secondary school. Surprisingly, she had done this by making friends with two of the bad girls of the school, Tami and Tallie. They had been rumoured to be expelled 7 times in primary school. Don't get me wrong they could beat anyone's ass in a matter of seconds but they were sweethearts. After that well our four names were well known in the year and kind of spread to the school. We weren't evil, well at least not unprovoked.

"I'll see okay Liam," I smiled and he nodded at me.

The class was soon over it was a double, felt like hell but at least it was time for a break. "A, bitch get over here," Tallie called me which made a teacher walking by frown at her.

"Aw you waited for me," I said blowing her a kiss and ignoring the playful eye-roll she gave me. She pretended not to but she loved all the affection.

She laughed at me," I was next door silly, it was on my way,"

"Why can't you admit you love me," I pouted before walking away pretending to be sad.

"I love you bitch now come here," She said quickly walking after me which gained a lot of attention but once Tallie looked at them they instantly looked away. The moment she caught up with me, I jumped on her back and she continued to carry me till we reached the lunchroom. 

"That's my twin," Tami laughed at the way her sister was giving me a piggyback.

"Where's Aline?" I asked Tami ad they were in the same lesson.

Tami began wiggling her brows, "She is with her boyfriend," 

Just then her boyfriend, Christian walked in without her, we were confused so as he passed our table, I asked "Where is Aline?"

"How the fuck would I know where that bitch is!" He yelled grabbing everyone's attention. Without hesitation, I punched him in the jaw before kicking him in his balls. Where do men get the audacity?

I then grabbed his collar, "She's not a bitch! If you want a bitch I'll show you one. Call her out her name one more time you'll be the one crawling around like a dog." With one last push, I walked away to find my best friend. 

Something was telling me to go to the rooftop and then I got this uneasy feeling so I ran up to it. Devastation hit me hard when I found Aline curled up in a ball crying totally ignoring the rain's attacks surrounding her. Immediately, I pulled her into my embrace as she sobbed. We stayed like that her crying in my arms and the rain crying with us.

The bell rang. "Go," She whispered while looking up at me for the first time. I could feel she wanted the opposite from me because when I looked into her eyes her eyes had lost some light.

Jokingly, I looked around me "Who are you talking to?" I asked confused.

This made her laugh slightly, "You, you dummy," I could still hear the pain in her voice.

I looked into her eyes and gently placed my head on her shoulder. "Listen here Aline, I'm not leaving your side ever, no matter what," I said promising her.

"I know that," Aline smiled slightly. "I'm confident no matter what, you'll always be in my life." She tried to steady her voice.

She then let out one last sob, "Thank you for never leaving me, I really needed you."I love you." She said resting her head on top of mine.

I squeezed her a bit tighter, "I need you too always and where would I leave to when you are here," I closed my eyes shut "I love you too always."
