Life's Race
Once in a city much like your own lived a girl. She had sun kissed skin and hair that was darker than night. She was..small for her age but that never stopped her from living life that way she wanted. Most of the time.
She was average for the most part as well. She did well in school, had friends and had her own interests but her home life wasn't so mundane.
She would often spend it in her room where the fun really happened. She did anything and everything in that room. Climbing buildings, hopping rooftops, or even just driving her Mustang 4 GT down the highway at near top speeds to let off some steam. She did it all and it wasn't paradise but it was sanctuary.
Beyond her bedroom door was the world. Reality. She never cared for it. Who would? She was always under the microscope when she stepped outside for just a millisecond. Or even a nanosecond. It proved its highs at times and most certainly its lows. She often thought about running. Running away from it all. She had a bag packed, what was stopping her? Away from judgement. Away from pain. She could live how she wanted. And not a goddamn thing was stopping her.
She could get a job, live off pay check to pay check. She could live in a vacant house that no one really payed attention to or in the backyard of one. No one would know. Or at least that is what she thought. The young protagonist knew it wasn't going to be easy living on the run. She had an outline of how things were supposed to go. How she was supposed to live from then on.
When she ran, and boy did she run, she took her money out of the bank and stocked up. She was frugal and bought with purpose. Not getting a thing she wanted but rather needed. She ended up finding a vacant house in a neighborhood a few cities over from where she came and hopped into the backyard. She didn't pick the lock. The security company sign in the front lawn made her a bit uneasy. So, she camped out in the back yard. Made it as comfortable as one could with all she brought and went to sleep. It was in the wee hours of the morning and soon her next objective was to find a job.

A/N: Okay, here is the part where I ask you to help me with this next part of this story. It may be longer than I originally thought. May even become its own work if I feel it is compelling enough. I have started on the second part to this and hope to resolve the story quickly and soon.
Oh how I am truly excited for this one.
Happy New Years to you all.
