Escape
Visha
One week...
One long week...
One painfully long week of my life, and I've had enough!
Being in a harem has its advantages, as well as it's many many disadvantages, starting with well the obvious, sex. The new room I've been given is beautiful and my dresser as she called herself, Lilith has been the best part of all this.
I mean, sure, anytime I see her she's showing up with the intention of dressing me in the most ridiculous and nonexistent clothing. But still I enjoy her wit and our banter. The best part is that whenever I see her, she's always telling me about Reginald and how stupid and annoying he is. They make the cutest couple, she's free and flowy and he's stuck up and a pain in the ass.
It just works out for them.
I've been debating with myself over whether or not to tell her what I've been planning for the last week. In the end I thought it best no too, just because I liked her didn't mean I needed to trust her.
Now it was pretty late at night and through nobody's fault of my own, I was extremely lost... in the wall... man was I an idiot.
I couldn't tell you exactly where I was but what I did know was that I was somewhere between the walls, and not in the usual place where the servants travelled to get from room to room without being seen by anyone. But fully inside the space between two walls that I could barely fit inside.
The only way you could possibly get into this area was by digging a hole into the wall which I for the past week had been doing until I finally had made a whole big enough that I could squeeze inside. I was worried about someone walking inside my room and discovering the hole and immediately panicking that I'm missing. So I've been moving a surprisingly light full length mirror back and fourth in front of it to hide the hole.
Though I should've made more of a mental note of the different walls and where they led to. Because, even though I was stuck in the wall, I had absolutely no clue where I was, where I was going or where I was heading.
I couldn't even hear the different voices going to even tell you if I was a servants quarters or near specific wing. The wing I definitely need to stay away from the West wing that was where the Emperor stayed and were only the Emperor was allowed to stay.
I probably should've made note of where the stairs were...
I had a horrible feeling that I was about to figure out where they were specifically.
I took another step forward, and I met with a wall. And I don't mean like the ones on either side of me I mean like one directly in front of me I was boxed in. I must've found one of the walls that led to the outside of the castle. I seriously doubt it I'll be able to dig my way through that.
Backing up and looking around I noticed that the walls were quite high. Meaning maybe I could climb up them?
I sat down I pressed my back up against one wall and lifted my feet up to the other, pushing up against both my back and my feet I was able to create the perfect little wedge for me to be able to climb up. I tried to study my breathing, knowing that someone could possibly hear me from the other side, and would immediately become suspicious of breathing inside the wall.
I slowly began trying to think about any place in the castle where the walls were especially high. No place immediately came to mind except for maybe the kitchen but I think if I was in the kitchen, I feel feel a little little bit of heat and no doubt be able hear Sky.
Her voice tended to carry from room to room.
Once I was finally able to reach the ' top' of the wall it seemed to level out into a small little little crawlspace. I lived in myself up I couldn't sit or stand to hand deep breath. I decided it best to keep continuing forward.
The 'floor' I was currently crawling on was so dirty, its was covered in different layers of spider webs and cobwebs making me shudder every time I took a step.
"This is absolutely disgusting!" I whispered to myself no longer able to be quiet about my disgust.
"This has got to be the stupidest thing I've ever done in my entire life." I groaned becoming less and less fearful that someone would hear me.
A slight creak pulled me out of my thoughts real quick. I looked down just below me and noticed that just underneath the layers of dust and cobwebs I could almost see right through the floor. Another creak made me stiffen and pray to whoever was listening to me that I would not be injured from this terrible fall.
And just like that, the floor gave away.
Making me fall straight through the 'floor', I managed to bite my tongue on the way down preventing me from screaming but making it hurt so much more.
"Ow!" I all but screamed.
"Hello again," a dainty feminine voice called from merely a few feet away from me.
I slowly lifted my head up, and looked over at the women who'd nearly been responsible for my death only a few days ago. Still can't believe how fast everything is moving around here, my head is still swimming from my new life. My vision was still blurry, no doubt from my fall that I couldn't even make out who exactly was talking.
"Don't just stand their, pick yourself and dust off all that filth from you and come take a seat." The voice called once again and their was a certain air of arrogance in her vice that immediately made me want to beat it out of her.
I slowly worked myself into a sitting position, and began to wipe the cobwebs and dirt off my sleeves before looking down at the rest of my body and sling realize heating that I was definitely gonna need a shower to get the rest of this.
I sat there for a few moments, trying to regain my composure, but mostly just to get my head stopped spinning as well.
Once the spinning stopped, I fully stood up. My vision cleared instantly, felt right, crawl up my spine and rapids icy hands around my throat.
"Won't you sit down and have tea with me?" She gestured to the seat right across from her.
I pretended to think for a moment, not exactly, wanting to go over there, but not exactly sure of what other choices I had in this position.
Realizing it's probably just better to go along with this person and her crazy demands.
"Oh good its you again," I say sarcastically as I go sit down just across from the women who only a few weeks ago was only responsible for my death.
"Hello there Raven, you look well." The women greeted and I was momentarily taken back by the use of my name. It wasn't my real one but still unnerved me nonetheless.
"Don't patronize me," I scold, I knew I looked like shit and based on the hazy looking in her eye, she didn't truly believe her own words either.
" I would never do something like that dear, I just wanted to congratulate you on your new position." She said slightly tilting her head ever so slightly.
"How exactly do you know about that?"
"I have eyes and ears placed everywhere in the kingdom even in this very castle. Nothing for you to concern yourself with them. I applaud you for making an effort to get closer to his highness in order to gain his trust.
"Oh, so you think I did this willingly?" I building up right behind my lips. I press them shut.
"You didn't?" She asked clearly confused.
"No," I said in a 'duh' like tone.
"How did you get in this particular predicament?"
"I was stupid and traded my soul for my best friends life, it was worth it, but now I'd like to leave." I said, as I stood up beginning to walk away from her, but only then noticing the room we were in. It was exactly the same room as last time. It wasn't sure how I got there and I'm still not sure how I got here.
"You know Raven-"
That's it
"You know what Lady I've had just about enough of you!" I say whipping around and storming over to her, pressing my hands down the table looming over her.
She didn't seem at all concerned of the possible threat I posed to her if she looked rather amused, I wasn't sure how I felt about that. If anything she looked even more relaxed than she previously did.
"Who are you?" I asked, venom dripping into my voice.
"Just a friend to help you in need, now, I really think you should be getting back there about to serve breakfast, and his highness is looking for you,"
Without waiting another moment I turn and run, oh so desperate to get out of this room no matter how I may have looked to that women I just needed to get away. I ran as fast as my little legs could carry me all the way back to the safety of my room.
