James' P.O.V

I watch as the crew men yelled at this man who had just saved me, "Back away, now stand right where you are!"

He did get off me and stood still, something about the way his hair still blowed in the breeze made my face turn red then when I heard Aaron coming it reverted back to normal.

They hand cuffed him while Aaron tried tussling with him.

"Did you really think you could get away with this!" He yelled at him, I finally had caught my breath and spoke up, "No...No Aaron...it was an accident."

"An accident?" He asked with a scoff

"Yes......I-I was trying to look at the...um pillars and I slipped, but he had saved me and pulled me back on the deck." I made up a lie and I told it well, well some of it was a lie...

One of the crew men then pitched in, "Well then the boy's a hero."

Aaron could care less about the situation and tried to walk me back to our room but before leaving one of the crew members insisted Aaron offer up some reward.

At first he tried to give him 20 bucks as a reward so I chimed in obviously ticked off a bit.

"So that's the price you offer for saving the one you love's life?" I said.

"Oh my James is not happy what to do, what to do? Well what's your name kid?" Aaron asked.

"Thomas Jefferson." He said

"Well Mr.Jefferson would you like to join us for dinner tomorrow night so you could share your heroic story with us at the table." The way Aaron used the word 'story' was rude and not to mention. His tone wasn't polite either it was filled with coldness.

"Sure." Thomas said then Aaron hurried me back to our room. Once we got there I had my nightgown on as I was looking in the mirror. As I was in thought I didn't notice.

Aaron came in.

He chuckled, "Now I can sense how unhappy you are but all you need to do is open your heart up to me Jamie, now I was gonna wait to give you this at our wedding but maybe I should give it to you early."

He chuckled again and gave me a necklace box I opened it to see a necklace that had a dark blue diamond in the center it was overwhelming but I still wasn't in love despite my cover ups...

"I've read about this necklace, they call it...The Heart of the Ocean."

"Yes indeed, you're quite the smart one, I bet you didn't know that it is..."

"A 56 karat diamond, yeah I know."

"That's not what I was gonna say, I was gonna say I bet you didn't know that it is a symbol for my feelings to you and what your life could be like if you'd be my wife."

I sighed and took it off

"You know there's nothing I couldn't buy you." Aaron finally said, "You just need to open up.."

I the turned off my light and climb in the bed not facing him. I try to fall asleep to the sound of the calm water and the chilling breeze.
