Chapter 24: A Day With The Mom

"I don't know about this." I said as I followed my mother to the front door.

"It will only be a couple hours and besides the boys will be with your father." Mom said softly.

I turned to look at Omega and smiled as I saw that she was already outside.

"Fine. Dad, don't scar them." I said softly.

"No promises, love." He said as he kissed my forehead.

I rolled my eyes and left the house with my mom and Omega.

"I hate leaving them like this." I said as we walked down the street.

"They will be fine. Your father will only scar them a little bit." She said with a laugh.

"I've never been to a salon." Omega said softly.

"Well you will love it." Mom said as she led her inside.

"And I will hate it." I mumbled under my breath.

We walked inside and I looked around. I saw a bunch of women getting weird styles. I let out a sigh and smiled as Omega set down and flipped through a magazine.

"Can I get this?" She asked as she held up a picture of a girl with blue hair.

"Hunter would kill us. How about we wait for the strange colors until you are a teenager?" I asked with a smile.

"But what if I want to rebel now?"

"Then get ready for Hunter to yell at you." I said as I let out a laugh.

"I'll wait." She said as she put the magazine down.

"Smart move, love." I said as I ruffled her hair.

"We are ready for you three." The hair dresser said softly.

"After you." I said as I motioned for Omega to climb into a seat.

I set beside her and smiled as my mother set on the other side of me.

"I take it we have the whole family today."

"Yep, Melanie meet my daughter and my granddaughter." Mom said happily.

"You don't look old enough to have such a cute granddaughter." Melanie said with a laugh.

Omega looked down and I sent her a smile.

"Now what do you girls want done?"

"Highlights. Your choice." I said as I sent Omega a smile.

"I want red." Omega said happily.

"Hunter won't be to mad, I'm sure." I said as I sent my mother a smirk.

"Is that her father?" Melanie asked softly.

"No." Omega said softly.

"Hunter is a good friend of ours. We live with him and his brothers. He's kind of taken up the mantle of father figure though." I said softly.

"See anything happening between you two?"

"Yea do you?" Omega asked happily.

"Omega... Hunter is a friend." I said softly.

"Then what about any of the other guys? What about Crosshair or Tech?" She asked quickly.

"You are really trying aren't you?" I asked with a laugh.

"Wrecker or Echo?"

"Omega-"

"Fives or Rex?"

"Those two are a no. Look Omega... I love the guys, but I don't think they would want to be with me."

"That's what you think." She mumbled under her breath.

"Now I'm interested, spill what's up?" Mom asked with a laugh.

"The boys like you." Omega said as her hair dresser got to work on her hair.

"I know that." I said with a laugh as Melanie trimmed my hair.

"No they like you. As in they are in love with you."

"Oh." I said as my eyes went wide.

"How many are there?" Melanie asked with a laugh.

"Five."

"How can they all like me?" I asked with a frown.

"You are extremely beautiful and smart. Not to mention the boys are probably touch starved to death." Mom said calmly.

"True." Omega said as they started with the highlights.

"I... I mean I thought about dating one of them, but I don't want anyone mad."

"Why not date all of them?" Mom said playfully.

"Mom!"

"I'm just saying. If I had Five men who all liked me I wouldn't want to choose." She said as she held up her hands.

"Sometimes I have to ask myself why do I put up with you?" I asked with a sigh.

"Because you love me." She said as they finished up.

"Alright Omega's hair has to sit and then we have to wash it. Until it's finished you guys can chill in the hot tub." Melanie said softly.

"I love you." Mom said as we changed into our swimwear.

We climbed into the tub and I let out a sigh of relief.

"So, if you had to choose... who would you date?" Mom asked softly.

"Mom-"

"Come on. You have to know which one you would choose." Mom said softly.

"I don't. I haven't really thought about it much. I mean I love all of them and... I don't want to hurt any of them." I said softly.

"I think the boys would be fine. Besides they are all good looking." Mom said softly.

"Mom-"

"I'm just saying. Though I think your dad personally likes Crosshair."

"Why?" I asked with a laugh.

"Because he knows Crosshair won't take crap from anyone."

"That's the truth."

"But you know that Tech is extremely smart and kind... he actually fixed Ezra's crib for me." She said happily.

"I think Hunter is great. I mean he was the first one you met." Omega said softly.

I shook my head and smiled as Omega and my mom started to talk about the boys. Soon Omega's hair was finished and she had red highlights.

"I can't wait to show the boys! Hey can I get a tat-"

"Finish that sentence and I ground you for life." I said quickly.

"But you have a tattoo." Omega said softly.

I quickly stopped walking and turned to look at her.

"What are you talking about?" I asked with a frown.

"On your ankle. I saw it once. I didn't get a good look at it though." She said softly.

"I got that tattoo to cover something up." I said softly.

"What were you-"

Omega quickly stopped talking and looked at the ground. I let out a sigh and removed my shoe. I rolled up my pants and turned my foot to show the tattoo to her.

"That's... that's my name." She said as she traced it.

"I had this done before you were born. Something told me that... this would be the most important thing in my life." I said softly.
