04: The Rescue of Jon Rudolf

Pachi awoke to the beautiful sight of Sizuka. Her blonde hair and green eyes and face had stolen his heart, and it pained him to leave her side.

But, after all, they did have to eat.

Kai was at the fire, poking at it when Pachi came back from checking the traps he had set.

"Got three rabbits," Pachi mumbled.

"If you're tired or miss Sizuka, go back to your tent. I know the feeling. I can't function sometimes without Lia at my side, and fortunately she went to get water, so her and I can stand watch while you go lay with Sizuka." Kai said in an understanding tone.

"You know, that's why you're my best friend. I'll see you soon." Pachi said.

When he entered the tent, he got back into bed with Sizuka and she put her arms around him.

"Pachi, I was wondering when you would get back. I love you so much." she said.

Pachi smiled and kissed her deeply and lay there with her for a bit longer.

"I love you too, sweetheart."

An hour later Lia and Kai popped into the tent with food.

"Here is our wedding present to you: breakfast in bed!" Kai said.

Sizuka giggled and Pachi sighed.

"Thank you, Kai. And, thank you, too, Lia." Pachi said, and devoured the meal.

Sizuka ate and then got ready as soon as Kai and Lia left.

"Pachi, tonight, can we try to get to the inn? My back really hurts on that floor." Sizuka said.

"Yes, do you need a massage, love?" Pachi offered.

"Ooh, yes, please!" Sizuka said.

Pachi gave her a massage and heard her back crack in several different places and felt her muscles relax.

"Better?" He asked.

"Better." Sizuka said softly.

Pachi disassembled the tent and the group got on the road.

"Xerxia is right over the hill," Kai said.

Xerxia had a massive tower in the center, and basically glowed.

"Pachi, can we live here?" Sizuka asked.

"After all of this, maybe. But for now, let's just find Jon Rudolf."

Pachi was amazed at the scenery of Xerxia. However, he felt evil around him and shook.

This was an advanced evil.

"Kai, take the others and get out of town. I need to find this Jon Rudolf myself." Pachi said.

"But, Pachi..." Kai began.

"Please. Do this as a favor for me." Pachi said.

"Okay, I will." Kai said, and he left.

It was only Pachi. He knew he could not involve the others, or else they would all get hurt.

"I can't let them get hurt." Pachi said to himself, and continued on towards the in.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Kai continued on the path out of town.

"Why would Pachi send us away?" Sizuka asked, trembling because her lover was gone.

"Pachi did it to protect us. He did it because he loves you, Sizuka. Please don't be upset." Lia said.

That's why I love Lia, Kai thought to himself, her gentleness can comfort even those who have lost everything.

That's because I gifted her with the ability, Kai. You'll see your gift, soon enough. Stand fast, son. You have evil ones incoming.

"Lia, Sizuka, come on." Kai drew his tonfas.

Lia drew her katana, and Sizuka drew her nunchucks.

"Ha, we found you!" The demon possessed captain yelled.

Sizuka knocked him out with a swing and the whole place turned into a battlefield.

Kai pounded five men in the face with one swing, and continued to guard the two women.

All of a sudden, Sizuka's arm and torso sprayed blood, and she fell over.

"Sizuka, no!" Kai yelled, and the soldiers backed away.

Kai, lay your hands on her.

"In the name of Yeshua, be healed." Kai said, and the wounds closed. She was still unconscious.

"Lia..." Kai began, and he cried. Lia held him for what it seemed like an eternity.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Pachi felt a tug at his heart.

"We killed your wife, and now you're next." The demon soldiers said.

Tears streamed down Pachi's face.

Pachi, Kai healed her by believing in Me. If you believe, I will empower you, too.

I believe, Abba. I believe.

"Heavenly strike!" a voice from within called out from Pachi and light flooded the area, eliminating all dark things and bringing the people to tears.

"Yahweh, we are sorry! We repent!" the people cried with their faces to the sky.

Pachi found Jon Rudolf in an alleyway beaten and bruised, and went into his inn. A barkeep met him at the door.

"Pachi Takuka, is that you?" the barkeep asked. Pachi nodded, and carried Jon into the inn.

"I have to go get my friends and my wife," Pachi said, "take care of my uncle."
