Boxes

Anonymous said: Congrats on your new place! And I think it would also make a terrific Prompt if you haven't already. Where Gray and Juvia decided to move in together and they honestly thought they had less stuff to take with them. Boy were they wrong.

AN: Thanks, dear! I hope you like it!

Boxes

"How do we have so much crap?" Gray asked, exasperated. "We live in a one bedroom apartment, for god's sake!" He looked around the living room, where there were lots of boxes. He opened one of them and took a dark blue bowl from inside. "I don't even remembering buying this."

His wife looked up from her spot on the couch (she barely squeezes herself between the boxes) and squeezed her eyes.

"Two years ago, mission securing that rich woman from the friend who liked the same man, remember? The client was afraid of her friend." Juvia chuckled. "She actually needed protection because they were fighting so hard and the guy didn't even choose one of them. We got that on the way back."

"We did?" Gray frowned, looking down to the bowl.

"Yeap." She popped the 'p'. "We stopped at Gazania for the night and they were having a fair and we got it."

"Oh." He inspected the bowl better. "I don't remember that."

"You were more interested on the takoyaki they were selling not too far from there." The Water Mage chuckled.

Gray snorted. "Yeah, sounds about right. I don't really like fairs." He put it back down. "So, you got it." Juvia shrugged and her attention returned to the towels she was folding. "Oh, so you are the hoarder." He realized. "I don't own even a third of this." He moved his arms around.

"Well, those four boxes over there are yours, mostly clothes." Juvia pointed to a corner. "Juvia has six. The others are out house utensils. And Juvia likes to keep our memories"

"I have four boxes?" Gray frowned and walked towards his boxes and when he opened it, he exclaimed. "Hey, my green jacket! I've been looking for it!"

"We never know how many things we have until it's time to move." Juvia told him and got up from the couch, a hand on the small bump on her stomach. "In no time, the boxes will double. Babies need so much stuff."

Gray's expression softened. "That's why we are moving." He walked towards his wife and put a his hands on her bump as well, waiting for a kick. "To get this little guy his own bedroom. He's gonna need some space to run in a few months."

"Or she's gonna need some space to run in a few months."

The Ice Mage rolled his eyes. "Yes, she. You know I don't care, but it's easier to refer to it like that instead of 'it'."

"So, get ready because after we are done here, we need to go shopping so the baby's furniture are delivered when we get to the new house."

"More boxes?" Gray groaned in annoyance.

"Yes." She tip toed and kissed his lips lightly. "But don't worry, Juvia will help."

"The hell you are." He was exasperated. "You are six months pregnant, you will stay put and boss everyone around. Can you do that?"

Juvia laughed. "Juvia thinks she can manage that."
