We were standing outside the restaurant when i saw Ryder's white truck pull up. "I'm suddenly nervous." Sarah said. "Don't be." I said smiling. "Wait Caleb knows i'm coming right?" She asked. "Meh i'm not sure i just told Ryder to get him here..." I said. "Oh no this is a bad idea..." She started backing away but i grabbed her arm. "It's not a bad idea, and you look great. Breath." I said as the guys got out of the truck.

"That's your boyfriend? He's hot." She said dazed. "I know, i got lucky with that one." Ryder walked over and gave me a quick kiss. "You look great Sarah." Caleb said. We walked in found a seat and placed our orders.

"I'm really excited for prom, it's supposed to be magical with a fairy tale theme and everything." I said dreamily. "But i can rent a limo right? I don't have to get a horse drawn carriage?" Ryder asked. "You don't even have to get the limo just knowing i get to spend the night with you is wonderful enough." I said. "Oh my, i really wish i had a date to prom now." Sarah said sighing. "You don't have a date, hey neither does Caleb!" Ryder said, i know he was helping me and i was grateful.

"Yea i don't...i can't believe you don't have a date Sarah." Said Caleb. "I know a girl that's as cute as her is gonna get scooped up really fast." I said. "Well i don't know about that." Sarah said blushing. "Okay you guys are laying it on kinda thick don't ya think?" Caleb asked. "Look i'm sorry this it's well i..." Sarah ran off to the bathroom crying.

"Way to go Caleb!" I said. "It wasn't her idea it was mine and i thought since you didn't have a date and neither did she ya'll could go together and yes maybe she liked you but i think you just ruined that." I said getting up to go check on her. "Dude please don't ruin this for me. Sydney is the hottest and most sweetest girl I've ever had the pleasure of dating." I smiled at Ryder's sweet sentiment.

"Sarah, look i'm really sorry. I guess maybe i did spring this on Caleb kind of fast and i'm really sorry. I just wanted to help and i had a lot of fun today and i don't blame if you don't wanna speak to me anymore." I said. I heard her sniffle. "It's not you i'm really mad at. I was more so embarrassed. But it'll be even more embarrassing if i stay in here eh?" She said blowing her nose. "Yes, and if Caleb doesn't ask you to prom so what, there are other fish in the sea. At least you walk away from this good friends. And i know a few guys that wouldn't mind a date with a cute girl." I said. She giggled opening the stall and coming out.

"Okay then, let's do this." She said linking her arms through mine. We walked out and took a seat back at the table. "Sarah, i'm sorry i shouldn't of said what i said. Sydney explained it was all her fault." Caleb said smiling. "Hey! I was trying to help two people find dates to prom i'm a hopeless romantic so sue me." I said throwing my arms up.

"Sarah i would be happy to escort you to prom on account of i don't have any body i was planning to ask and i think you and i could have a good time." He said. I looked down and realized our food was here. I dug in. We talked about getting a limo and our favorite flowers and what color dresses we were wearing so the guys could match. I think it was a good date. We also agreed to come back here for our preprom dinner.

That weekend it was time to get back with my dad. I wasn't scared to go see him again. I had already promised to come back for future visit's even if he couldn't dig up any dirt. "Hey pumpkin!" My dad said smiling. "Hi dad, how are you?" I asked. "Eh it's prison you do the math, how are you?" He asked. "Good. Did you get any information?" I asked. "Actually i did took a bit of digging. But one of the guys squealed that there is a top secret base in the new mexico dessert.

"I was going to say that's an odd place for a base but no it's genius nobody will ever suspect a thing or go looking for you." I said. The only problem is we can't just go driving across every inch of new mexico. Maybe i could come up with something. I'd think on it. "Thanks dad." We talked about a few more things then i left to start dinner hot dogs and french fries. As we were eating i gave the guys the news. But by this point i had had time to think about an idea.

"It's hopeless." Said Ethan. "Not necessarily." I said. "I was doing some research earlier and i was able to look at some satellite photos of new mexico. I found four possible places it could be. Big compounds lot's of acreage." I said. "Oh so were just gonna drive out to new mexico and check out four possible spots...?" Asked Caleb. "Don't be new, that's a stupid idea. I will have to narrow it down to which spot it is exactly. But i can do that so it's fine." I said.

"I was thinking if we go during the summer time we'll all be out of school and it'll be before you start at the police station Jake." I said. "Yea, but this is gonna be risky if we do it y'know." He said. "Well duh, but we'll be fine. I can't come up with any ideas until we get there so it's fine." I said finishing my hot dog.

--------------prom day---------------

Sarah and i agreed to get ready at her place. Then Ryder and Caleb would come pick us up in the limo. Sarah's mom was really excited Sarah had a date. And a friend. I'm not sure which one she was more excited about. We had met later that day to get our hair and nails done. We got our dresses and shoes on and i did our makeup. We looked really great if i do say so myself.

"Oh girls you look fabulous let me get some photos." Her mom said. We did a few pictures for her just as the doorbell rang. We had boutonnieres for the guys. "Woah Sydney you look amazing." Ryder said. "Thank you, and you look very handsome." I said. I pinned his boutonniere on his jacket and he slipped my corsage on. "I also got these for you." He said holding out a beautiful bouquet of flowers. "Awe thank you, they're beautiful." We posed together for tons of photos.

When we were done we got into the limo and headed to the restaurant. "This is so fancy." Sarah said. "Yea, well you guys are special ladies." Said Caleb. After we had eaten we headed to the venue for prom. After doing our pictures outside, we went inside.

"Hey Caleb boo." Said Jenna coming up. Ryan from the baseball team was dragging behind her. "Oh hey." He said. "Is this your date?" I asked laughing. "Yea, whatever. He's a place holder for somebody better but i couldn't go to prom alone. As if. Caleb want to dance?" Jenna asked. "hey!" Called Ryan. "Actually i'd love to dance, sarah?" He turned to his date. "What?" Jenna asked in shock. "Well i..." She turned to me. "Who is this?" Jenna asked setting her eyes on Ryder. "You're even cuter than Caleb." Jenna said.

He put his arm around me and pulled me close. "I'm Sydney's boyfriend Ryder." Said Ryder proudly. "Oh ew. I doubt that." Said Jenna. I rolled my eyes, no time for her drama. "Care to dance Ryder?" I asked holding my hand out. "With you, of course." He said placing his hand in mine.

"You really look beautiful." Said Ryder. "Thanks." I said laying my head on his chest. I sighed. "I'm so glad were here together. This is a good night." I said. "It is." He agreed. "So Jenna doesn't really like you i take it?" He asked. "Meh Jenna doesn't like much of anybody you know those rich cheerleader types. Nothing makes them happy." I said laughing as Ryder spun me around in a circle. "Oh yea." We danced and talked and just had a great time together.

"So after prom they usually have some kind of afterparty thing but you know i don't have a lot of friend at this school and i don't care to go so i hope that's okay with you. Because i mean if you wanted to go i guess i could hack faceook or instgram and find out where it is..." I trailed off. "Hey, i'd rather go home cuddle on the couch and watch a movie with you." He said. My heart skipped a beat. He was just the best boyfriend ever. "Did i ever tell you how wonderful you were?" I asked. "Sure, but i wouldn't mind hearing it again." He said.

"You are the best boyfriend ever, you're sweet, funny, cute, sexy, romantic and just amazing!" I said. "Hey and i didn't do to shabby with you either." He said. "Awe you flatter me." We danced until the prom started to wind down then we took the ol Limo back to the house. When we got home Ethan was excitedly waiting for me in the living room. "What? I told Liam to go get you chicken why are you pacing like that?" I asked.

"Not that, Liam got food. Your car is ready and i think it's ready for a test drive. Come on Ryder you can ride shotgun. I just wanna take a short drive and listen to the engine." Said Ethan. "Oh yay! I can't wait to see it!" I said following him out to the garage. "Wait, should i change first? I asked Ethan. He looked at me. "Oh prom right...uh sure yea go change." He said. I ran and pulled on a tank and some sweat pants. Then i met the boys in the garage. Ryder had also changed, into a t-shirt and pair of basketball shorts."

"Wow Ethan, you did a really good job here! This car looks amazing!" I said I ran my hand over the shiny green paint. "I love it!" I said turning to Ethan, who was holding out a set of keys. "yay!" I opened the door and put the top down as i cranked the car. I switched the station on the radio. "I updated that. You know they make radios for these cars that look like the originals but have modern technology. You could use the blue tooth on your phone there." Ethan said pointing.

"Sweet." I put the car into drive. "Oh look up in that compartment i put your clicker it'll open your door to the garage. I lifted the latch and pushed the button. The garage door slowly slid open and i pulled out onto the street. After i had pulled out of the gate i took a drive along the long country road. It really was nice living way out here. When i got to the end of the long stretch i turned around and headed back to the house and into my spot in the garage.
