We mostly spent our days at the pond after that enjoying each other's company.

Somehow we never ran out of things to talk about.

Sometimes we'd walk through the woods at the back and it always struck me just how many people you knew at The Lilypad Lodge.

Everywhere we went we heard, "hi Ciel!"

I remember how you always introduced me with such pride;

you were positively glowing.

It made me feel as if I was the most important person in the world.

"This is my friend Laney; she's new here!"

Then it was "this is my girlfriend, Laney."
