I do remember how you kissed me that day though.

You reached over and tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear and cupped my face and kissed me.

Taken by surprise, I kissed you back and I could feel your smile against my lips.

I reached over, placed my hand on your cheek and pulled away slightly, laughing you pulled me into your arms.

You told me later that this was the first time that you'd ever seen me speechless;

all I could think though was that when I looked at you all I saw was sunshine.

We sat by the pond for a while after that;

it was as if the rest of the world had melted away and you were the only one that existed.
