The first thing I noticed about you were your green eyes;

the way they lit up in the sun and how, when you smiled, they sparkled.

I remember the way they appeared darker whenever you cried and how, whenever your eyes found my brown ones, they brightened.

Then I heard your voice; you had a way of making me feel comforted. It sounded gentle and sweet.
