Chapter Thirteen

Bethany held onto her granddaughter until Judith finally calmed down and fell quiet, when she looked down she saw that Judith had fallen asleep.

Norman walked in with George beside him.

"How's she doing?"

"She's sleeping." Bethany said, giving Norman a quick glance before looking to George. "Thank you for bringing her here. "

"Is she going to be alright?" George asked.

"Yes, she will after a goodnight's rest."

He nodded his head. "Well, can you tell her something when she wakes up?"

"Sure, dear."

"We were supposed to meet up on Tuesday, but I never gave her a time or a place." he said.

Bethany was afraid the young man was about to tell her that he wasn't interested in meeting up on Tuesday.

"I was thinking about meeting up outside the Leaky Cauldron, around noon. That's if she is still up for it. We'll see how she's feeling, I guess."

Bethany smiled. "I bet that would make her feel a lot better."

After George left, Norman sat down in the living room across  from Bethany who was still holding onto Judith.

"Is she sick or is it something?"

"Something else." Bethany answered. "Something far more sinister than a fever."

"What happened?" Norman asked worried.

"She saw...you-know-who... he approached her..."

"Beth, that's impossible, he's dead- oh... but I'm afraid I don't understand."

"I've never heard of something like this myself, Norm, he invaded her thoughts."

"Maybe he didn't," Norman said, " let's look at all the other possibilities. Judith has been quite stressed out lately. Maybe she just was having a mental break or something along those lines."

"Norman, he spoke to her. He said he was going to take over the body of a Wagner... he completely spooked her. That doesn't sound like a mental break. He brought her back to her darkest memory and used that to weaken her mental state."

"Well, what can we do? That monster is dead and I'd like to keep it that way."

"We have to keep her from falling into a negative pool...she'll become vulnerable...I've never seen a possession occur but I have heard of it. Malevolent spirits prey on the weak. I couldn't imagine what the world would become if...."

"Don't say it."

Fred appeared in the living room after walking through a wall.

"Ah, there she is. I stopped by the tea shop, she said she was working and...what's wrong?" he asked Bethany.

Fred stared down at Judith who continued resting on the sofa.

"How can Voldemort even do that? Harry destroyed him, didn't he?"

"Yes, Harry destroyed his physical form. The dark lord destroyed his own soul leaving him to be stuck in Limbo when he was finally defeated." Bethany explained. "He of course would be too weak to just possess anyone, but negative energy is very powerful and I'm sure he knows all about that. If he feeds on the negative energy and becomes stronger, the weaker Judith gets in her mental state, it'll be too easy for him."

"Well, then someone has to be warned about this possibility-"

"Let's be real Fred, who would believe such a thing? I've been called a fraud for years. They would put Judith in the permanent ward of St. Mungo's in a heartbeat."

"But if you don't warn someone...imagine what could happen."

"He can't possess her if we take precautions."

"Okay, what do we do?" Fred asked. "I'll help in anyway I can."

"We keep her happy. All smiles, no frowns. Keep her distracted from any negative thoughts and she should be able to block him."

"Judith...Judith.." she heard her voice being sang in a whimsical tune.

She opened her eyes to find Fred looking down at her.

"Fred!" she smiled seeing his smile. "Wh..." She noticed she wasn't in her home, but in her grandparents home.

"What am I doing here?"

Suddenly, the memories of the day prior flooded her mind. "Oh no.." she groaned.

"Don't even bother thinking about it." Fred said.

He sat down beside her.

"I have some news for you." he grinned.

"Really?" she turned to him. "What is it?"

"George wants to meet up with on Tuesday-"

"Still?"

"Ah, ah, let me finish."

"Tuesday at the Leaky Cauldron, at noon."

"Even after yesterday?"

"Even after yesterday." Fred told her.

Her grandparents greeted her, all smiles as she sat down at the kitchen table to enjoy a nice breakfast with them.

"How's about we do some metal work today?" Norman offered.

"Can we?" Excitement breached her features.

"Of course, I told you anytime you wanted to work on it we could. Since you have a couple of days off, I figured we could have some fun. Work on actually making a circular shape this time rather than your peanut shaped snitch."

"Okay, this I have to see." Fred said.
