I was inspired to write this by PuppySwift's second Grayson x Emperor one shot in her one shot/ ships book, so I recommend that you read that incase you haven't. It's awesome! If she is uncomfortable with similarities, then I'm willing to take this down.

The emperor watched as his prize was pulled up to his throne, beaten but still fighting. The guards pulled the dragon egg thief by the chain on his neck, choking him if he struggled too much. He thrashed about, desperate to escape and find his friends. The emperor smiled, as he walked up to them, gesturing to his men to kick him down to stop his struggling. The guards kicked him behind his knees, making him collapse onto the long red carpet. The smiled down at him, taking every detail about his facial features. His skin was pale, but covered in bruises, and his emerald eyes looked up at him, but the left one was black from being hit.

"I've been waiting for so long to finally get my hands on you, Grayson." The emperor said, reaching out his hand, and dragging it through the ex-commanders golden locks.

Grayson pulled away, and snarled. "What did you do to them? Where are they?!"

  "They're being hanged. In fact, I think it's going on as we speak."

Grayson's eyes widen as his body was filled with horror. "No!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, pulling on the bounds tying his wrist.

The emperor bend down, his face inches away from Grayson's. His warm breath hitting Grayson's face and neck. "Oh, yes! Now nothing will come between us!"

  "Us?!"

The emperor laughed. "Just you and me together! No more family, and no more friends! Now we can finally be together."

Grayson's eyes got wider. His body quivered in the realization. "It's never been about the dragon egg...has it? You killed them...just so you could get me. You killed my family...just so you..." He couldn't finish.

He choked on his sorrow and anger, looking down at the floor as he tried to fight back the tears forming in his eyes. Everything that he fought for was a lie. What worth did that stupid dragon egg really have? Either way, it his fault that his wife and son were dead, and now, he'd be the reason for his best friends deaths as well. The emperor's fingers slipped under Grayson's chin, forcing them to look at each other eye to eye. The white smile never left the emperor's face.

"Exactly! Now you and I can be together with nothing interfering! You stealing the dragon egg was made the opening to get them out of the picture."

The emperor leaned closer, with the ex-commander trying to scoot back, but suddenly, the lave palace doors swung open. Grayson could barely look over his shoulders to see who, or what it was that entered the main hall. He was in so much pain, both physical and emotional. The emperor let out a chuckle, and stepped aside to let the men drop what they had slung over their shoulders. A gasp escaped his lips, as his body became stiff from horror. His heart felt like it had stopped beating. His gaze locked onto the corpses of his now dead comrades, Drake and Mia. They were badly beaten, with the nooses still tied around their bruised necks. Their glazed over eyes started at the ceiling. Grayson choked, barely able to breathe. His eyes filled with tears, burning as they streamed down his face. His body was shaking now filled with consternation.

"No...no,no,no,no,no, no,no!" He kept repeating, shouting at the top of his lungs.

His misery was being clouded with burning rage. His eyes darted to the emperor, a snar leaving his lips. He opened his mouth, but it was so dry from weeping, and he still felt out of breath.

"Y-you..." Was all he was able to get out.

The emperor closed his eyes, smiling down at Grayson. He grabbed the chain from the guards, and waved his hand as he told them to leave. The guards bowed, turning on their heels and marching out of the palace. The emperor chuckled, pulling on the chain, making Grayson's body get pulled back. He choked at the clasp pushing down on his Adam's apple as the he was pulled. He was forced up, halfway standing, and halfway sitting. His bent knees scrambled, trying to get proper footing on the ground so he could adjust himself and breathe. The emperor's fingers traced over his cheek, before he released the chain only for a second to let Grayson fall onto his knees.

"You and I can be together now. Me as the ruler, and you, the rulers little pet." He bent down, wrapping Grayson in his arms from behind.

Grayson didn't flinch. His heart felt shatter. It was all because of him. His now red eyes were stuck on the corpses lying before him. Without them, he had nothing left to fight for. He felt himself becoming numb. The hands of the ruler went down Grayson's chest, finding their way under his green shirt stained in his own blood. Grayson didn't feel the emperor's hands tracing over his abs and rib cage as they moved up his body. His hot breath brushed against Grayson's face as he leaned in, resting his chin on his shoulder. His head lifted back up, his teeth biting gently on Grayson's ear, before he released it, and removed his hands from Grayson's chest. He stood up, walking in front of Grayson, kneeling down so he looked into the blondes emerald eyes that were almost unmoving. He grasped at the chain in his fingers, moving it up so that it almost touched his neck, where his skin was starting to become raw.
He pulled on the chain, making Grayson move forward, until their lips touched. With his free hands, he continued to caress the blondes chest, as he passionately kissed Grayson's slightly quivering lips. He broke the kiss, taking in a gasp of air. His hand moved up to his head, stroking Grayson's blonde locks like that of a dog. He placed his forehead on his, then tilted his head so that their noses touched. The only movement Grayson gave was the rising and falling of his chest, and his body slightly quivering, but it was barely noticeable until the emperor laid his hands on him. His wide smile was still present, as he licked his lips in pleasure.

"All mine."
