Emperor x Collin part 2

Third person point of view-

Alduin walked up the hill, as he had everyday for the past few years to meet with his lover. Now teenagers, Alduin had a small ponytail, pulled back by a golden rubber band, with thin scruff of his chin. As did Collin with scruff on his chin, but his hair reminded relatively the same length, only slightly longer.it always filled the prince with joy to see his boyfriend everyday. He always cheered him up, even after what had happened to the Mage...
He turned to the corner of the old oak tree that they had always met underneath since the day they had met. His smile was wide and bright, eager to see his love as soon as possible. His hand was placed against the bark of the tree, pulling him around to face the boy that he knew was sitting there, just as he always had.

"Good afternoon, my angel!"

He stopped when he noticed his partners condition, sitting on the grass with his head against his knees, curled up with his legs against his chest and arms wrapped around them. He listened to the unsettling sound of the boy sobbing into his knees, letting out small gasps and hiccups, his body quivering.

"Collin!" He ran over to his side, getting onto his knees next to him. "Are you okay? What's wrong?"

He did not even lift his head, his broken voice barely audible from the position his mouth was in, but Alduin made out every word. "Alduin, I can't take this thing in my head anymore! I can't...make him stop..."

The royal put his hands on his partner's shoulders, gently ordering him to lift his head to look him in the eyes. The weeping teen lifted up his head, his eyes red with a layer of tears that slipped from beneath his eyelids and ran down his face, dripping from his chin. Overlaid on his blue eyes, was a layer of a glowing, pearly white haze.

It was easy to tell that he was having trouble speaking, but he got his voice out. "I'm starting to regret letting him in. He keeps telling me to hurt people that I don't want to hurt! He...he has interest in you. Bad interest and... I-I'm scared."

Suddenly, Alduin pulled hm not a tight hug. Collin froze up, unprepared for the sudden move. He adjusted to it, digging his face into the prince's shoulder as he weeped once more, his fingers clawing into his mate's back as he returned the embrace.

"It's okay. It's okay. Shhh." Alduin whispered sweet nothings into his ear until he relaxed, his breathing growing more steady and trembling body beginning to relax.

The prince was the first to pull away, only to immediately pull back in to smash his lips against Collin's. The teen being used as a demon's vessel froze up, his boyfriend's lips rough against his own before they soft, allow him to easily sink in and let their lips lock together. They held that kiss, tongues sliding into the others mouth until they had to pull away to breathe. Alduin smiled at his lover as he brushed his fingers against Collin's cheek and combining them through his soft brunette hair.

"As long as you have me, nothing will happen to you! I promise."

His heart nearly skipped a beat when a weak smile returned to his lover's gentle face. "I love, you know that?...You love me too, right?"

"Of course I love you, idiot." He leaned forward, placing his forehead against Collin's head, both closing their eyes. "I wouldn't still be here if I didn't."
...

The sun was beginning to set beyond the empire, casing it fiery colors ablaze across the vast sky. As he walked into the palace, listening to the massive doors shut behind him, Alduin pulled down his hood to gaze upon the unnerving sight of his father marching towards him, fury written on his expression. He could almost see the steam of hate rising from his flaring nostrils, eyes of fire burning into his soul.
Fear spiked in the younger male, his heart skipping a beat from the panic. He took a step back as his father stopped in front of him, his arm lifting with haste and coming down with even more so.

Smack!

He let out a cry of pain as he fell to the ground, holding his hand against the stinging red skin. He looked back up as he took in shallow breaths, tears falling from his eyes as he looked up at his enraged father, nostrils flaring and eyes seeping venom.

"I will not have a queer run my kingdom! You are a disgrace to this family!"

He tried to get a say, despite knowing that his words would inevitably fall upon deaf ears.

"Father, please! I-"

"Silence!" His eyes were ignited with the burning orange of rage's flame, his chest heaved and fists balled. Alduin flinched, his insides clenching with fear and anxiety, each moment filled with anticipation to feel the sting of his father's wrath.

"The guards followed you these past few days, saw you with that middle class boy... They saw you two interacting...intimately." He spat in disgust. "Did you think that I would not find out?"

The teen shook his head as he scampered to his feet, trying to explain himself but his shaking voice struggled to make it past his lips.

His father's voice blustered, the fear chilling his blood and his legs wobbled beneath his body as he took in his superiors harsh words. "You will not be emperor... You are no son of mine. By tomorrow, you will be gone from this castle, understood?" Yet his words did not sting as much as it should have.

Alduin snarled, his fears shifting into boiling rage. "Fine! I never loved you to begin with anyway..."

Tears fell from his eyes, the burning hot liquid running down the bruise left behind on his face. He could say no more before the anguish overcame him, his legs bolting up to his room in the right tower of the castle. He ran into his room and slammed the door, rattling the pictures and decorative displays hung up on all four walls. He then collapsed onto his bed, laying there as he cried into the sheets.
He flipped over, a blank stare locked onto the red canopy above his bed as his mind wondered, his head pounding from the stress and sorrow. He clawed at the sheets, tears stained the blankets beneath himself. The more his mind drifted, the more sinister his thoughts became; the more hateful he grew. The more his mind dug into darkness, the closer a solution was to touching the light of his mind. Then, there it was. An idea. A malevolent, risky idea.
He did what he was always forbidden to do, sneaking into the empty quarters of the magi guild, using the knowledge that Collin had given him to construct a deadly concoction. The next morning, he had snuck into the kitchen where the food was being prepared, adding a few drops to each plate of food and each drink that would be delivered to the king and queen.
That morning, he listened to the screams from within his room, only to rush down once the loud noise had calmed, but shifting to weeping. As he walked into the kitchen, he was greeted by sobbing and screaming maids, guards and, servants all hovering over the corpses of his mother and father.
By the next day, the entire kingdom and miles beyond had heard of the mysterious deaths of the emperor and the empress, allowing their son to finally claim the throne. That day, he did not go to visit his love for the first time in years, the coronation lasting all day.
Even though he desperately wanted to see him, he had his doubts that Collin would want to see him. Word of his parents deaths had to of reached where he lived by then, and surly a boy as smart as him would swiftly conclude the truth.
Once he found the opportunity the day after his crowning, Alduin snuck out as he usually did, heading to the oak tree on the hill behind the palace. As he walked up that steep hill, his limbs felt heavy. Nervousness rushed through him like a jolt of electricity.
What would he say? What would he do? Perhaps Collin would not know what he did, but with that demon inside of him, there was no telling what he could figure out without even being at the scene.
On top of the hill, his lover stood there, but he did not look the same. The now emperor gasped, his body becoming frozen like ice at the horrific sight of his love. Collin stared down at him with his glowing eyes, hair matted down in blood, his skin and tattered clothing covered in red.

"Collin!"

He ran up to him to be sure that he was okay, only to collide into the pure white shield of energy built between the two in a split moment. He dug his heels into the ground, coming to a halt. What was Collin doing?! He needed to know if he was okay! Alduin looked up as the shield was brought down, looking into his lover's furious gaze.

"How could you do that, Alduin? I thought you were a good person!"

The emperor could only stand there with wide eyes, almost unable to comprehend the words that he was hearing, it's burning tone of disgust and anger. It was painful to to hear him spit out out his harsh words, and even more painful to see the agony and broken stare behind those luminous eyes.
He then gasped as his love cried out, his head bowing to have his arms bend over it, tugging at his hair until Alduin could almost hear him ripping the strands out from his scalp. Collin began to grind his teeth, and unbearable pain in his head.

He stepped forward, thinking of no consequences. "Collin, are you-?"

Finally, Collin let go of his hair and stood up straight, gasping as he looked back to the man whom he had once loved more than the world. More than his own damned soul. The pain diminished, though still remained. Even so, nothing that Herobrine did to his head would be as painful as what he felt in his heart. The tears ran down his face, falling onto the grass below.

"I'm fine, I...I'm disappointed in you. I knew that you wanted to claim the throne but... I thought you were better than to stoop that low."

Alduin snarled, stepping forward with his brows furrowed. "I did it for the both of us! Come with me and we can rule together! Just like we had planned when we were kids!"

He flinched when the other male began laughing, hardly sounding like his own. A chill crept down his spine, filled with uneasiness. His eyes scanned the blood coating his hand and clothing, splattered onto his face. What did he do? Was did that demon make him do?! His ears lifted when Collin once again opened his mouth to speak.

"And I allowed this monster into my body for us and look at where it got me! I can hardly control myself, I rarely know what thoughts are my own...these feelings of hatred, I don't want to feel them. I didn't want to hate you! But now..."

His head hung, a grim expression shrouded in shadows. His arms hung limp by his sides, his shoulder jerking and neck cracking as he twitched, as if trying to hold something back inside of him.

"You have no idea..." His voice was broken, his relatively deep voice stretched with emotional agony. "...what he made me do. I couldn't control myself! But you, you knew all too well what you were doing."

He turned around, his back facing the one he would once never turn his back to. He looked over his shoulder, old tear stains being cover by new, warm streaks of salty liquid. His sapphire eyes gave a harsh glare, deprived of all optimism and joy that the emperor had fallen for long ago.

"Enjoy your empire. I hope you stay true to your word, be feared by all. Murderers like us deserve it."

Alduin lunged forward, his arm reaching out as he cried. "Collin, wait! Please!"

It was two late. With a snap of his fingers, Collin had vanished from thin air, now nowhere in sight. Alduin froze in place, staring at the now empty space where his lover once stood. Tears fell to the ground as he choked, collapsing to his knees as he sat there for hours, sobbing until his guards had found him there, a broken, guilt filled mess.
As the years passed by, Alduin became more than the emperor that he had dreamed of being. He was a tyrant, feared by all nations and his subjects alike; driven into insanity and obsession.
He stood there in the grand room held up by four individual pillars, two on the right of the room and two to the left. The orange and yellow flame of torches brighten up the room, allowing everything to be seen as clear as day. Two tapestries hung up on the stone wall on the opposite wall to the door, one depicting a mighty dragon, the other, a man standing on a temple as men bow to his glory. The man was simple in design, brunette hair, blue clothing, and pure white eyes.
He stood with his arms behind his back, staring down at his prize from the latest siege and conquering. The black shell rested on a pedestal, a bright purple fluorescence in the light. The dragon egg. The last dragon egg. This controlled all magic, including the magic of him.

"Don't worry my love. I will set you free...even if it does not make up for what I have done... For what it's worth...I'm sorry."

Tears formed in his eyes, but a smile spread on his cheeks. He began to chuckle as the tears trailed down his face, growing until it became a full laugh, rattling and unnerving. His arms shot up, clawing at his cheek and scalp.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" He screamed, alerting his guards.

They ran to his side, stopping directly behind him out of fear that he would snap. They exchanged a glance towards one another, the slim openings on their iron helmets allowing them to see their king's turmoil.

One of the men gulp, clearing his throat. "Sire, we will escort you to your throne...I-if you will allow it."

Alduin started to pant, ever so slowly beginning to relax. He closed his eyes and steadied his breathing, counting each breath until he reached ten. His arms fell back to his sides, head lifting to gaze upon the dragon egg once more. He cleared his throat, putting on a faulty grin.

I will free you...I will bring you back. I promise, my angel.

He turned to his guards and nodded, though the men could tell that he was continuing to struggle with his emotions and mindset. His grin was gentle and kind, making it obvious that it was not true.

"Y-yes...let's go, shall we?"

He spun around his heels, marching out of the room with the guards by his side, closing the door to lock it in order to secure the precious artifact within. After that, they traveled through the corridors, heading to the throne room.
As he walked into the throne room, his head lifted to the sound of the front palace doors bursting open, all eyes in the room averting towards the figure standing within the massive door frame. Guards and knights held up their swords, ready to defend their king at the cost of their lives. Even then, none of them were prepared for who, or rather what, crossed through from the other side of that door.
Collin's body stood there, long, greasy brunette hair flowing on the back of his neck, dark blue clothes torn until they were near merely rags, covered in stale blood that now made his dark and light blue attire appear brown and purple. His hair covered his eyes, blue with a faint white haze overlaid on top of his previous sapphire orbs. His gaze was just as it had been when the two had last seen each other on that fateful day.
Alduin froze where he stood, unable to rip his eyes away from the man. His heart had turned to ice, hearing nothing. Not even the beating of his heart nor his own thoughts. All time fell still as shock consumed his very being. This could not be true.

"C-Collin? Is that..?" For the first time in years, his eyes welled up with tears as he smiles

"Collin!" He began to up to his love, filled with a rush of joy and excitement that he had long been numb to. "Where have you been all these years?! I-"

Collin's arm then shot up before Alduin could reach him, swarming with a white light. In a matter of seconds, and wave of white energy blasted force, knocking the emperor onto the red carpet covering the hard tile of the ground.
He groaned as he sat back up, rubbing his aching head. He blinked a few times to clear his vision, temporarily blinded by the bright flash of light. For a few seconds, all he could see was was a snowy white before color and shapes slowly came back into focus. Tears began to gentle cascade down his left cheek.
He looked to his former lover, who was now booming with maniacal laughter, so deep that it rattled his bones and organs within. It was dark, spin-chilling, perhaps even demonic.

"C-Collin?"

The body covered in blood looked up to his old lover, eyes blinking only to lose all color. Staring back at the emperor, was now only a pearl white, glazed with a bright white glow.

"Guess again, old friend."
