Drake x Nathan

Has slight suggestive themes but nothing graphic and nothing really happens. Nothing to really worry about, other than possibly being uncomfortable. You'll see.

Third person point of view-
The boy was at his home, enjoying the familiar and comforting surroundings after being on his feet, hunting criminals and rogue cultists down in the badlands all day. Not just that but Grayson had just held a banquet that he could barely sit through since he was already exhausted.
Herobrine was defeated and Drake had gained some of his abilities... that all happened over a year ago. Since then, he had spent a lot of time with Drake, bounding with him, scared to lose him again. Drake was like a brother to him after all. Deep down he knew that he thought of him as more than just that, but to his dismay, the hybrid was already spoken for. He had moved on though.
Grayson was now emperor and had recently promoted the now eighteen year old to the status of a general, the youngest general in the Northern empire's history at that. Bags hung underneath his eyelids that closed over his hazel orbs as he yawned. Being a general ment working more out in the field and training soldiers, leading to returning home exhausted by the end of the day.
The living room was lit up by lanterns hung up on the walls and candles lit here and there, the only light and heat source he could get. His home was in the beautiful location of Emerald city, almost able to view the palace just by walking outside and turning your head. He rubbed his eyes, his body heavy and eyes sore as a wave of drowsiness swept over his being, consciousness desiring to give way.
Nathan unbuttoned the golden buttons to his red general's coat outlined with gold. His feet dragged him to the coat hanger that was not too far away, his heavy feeling arms putting his coat on one of the wooden arms then taking off his pendant and putting it onto the table beneath the window. He yawned once more as his body turned, his feet once again dragging his body sluggishly across the wooden floorboards and stopping at the armrest of his red fabric couch. He let his body collapse, his shaking legs giving out with his knees hitting the armrest as he fell forward and hit the cushion face and chest first. He groaned, the soft cushion muffling his little sound.
He was quick to drift away and pass out, lightly snoring and shifting his head in his sleep so he could breathe.
His eyes snapped open and ears perked up as a loud series of banging began ringing through his ears. His heartbeat raced and blood rushed through his veins as fear ran through his system for a moment, then he grew more frustrated rather than frightened. His auburn brows furrowed as he groaned in annoyance before reluctantly pushing himself up and standing on his feet tucked into his long brown leather boots that nearly reached to his knees. His fixed his auburn hair and flattened his pure white button up shirt upon his chest. He rubbed the crust away from his eyes and growled as his legs carried him over to the door. Who the heck would be coming here this late at night?!
Nathan opened the door, squinting as two bright glowing orbs of white pierced through the darkness. He groaned as he let his vision adjust, eyes fixated on the two dim spots of blue and purple within the orbs of white.
Drake stood there, his hair a mess and plain blue button up shirt wrinkled with the top three buttons unfastened, revealing a few scars or portions of larger scars. His head hung to the side, blue jeans buttoned but the zipper nearly half way down.
"Drake? What are you doing up so late? Isn't Lalea-"
The general's eyes snapped open, now fully awake. His arm lifted up and covered his nostrils with his wrist as his nose twitched, instantly taking in a strong but very unpleasant aroma. He shook his head and gagged as he stepped back. He looked back up to his friend, noticing the red on his nose, ears, and cheeks upon his otherwise pale human side. The hybrid's grin was unsettling as he leaned against the doorway, shaking with his head swaying.
"Are you drunk?! I thought you didn't drink!"
Drake stepped into the living room, swaying and looking as if he would collapse, leaving Nathan on edge and cautious. The hybrid hiccupped and giggled in an unusually jolly way that was unsettling for the auburn. He closed the door and huffed, trying to get used to the unpleasant smell of alcohol that his friend had brought with him.
Drake turned to his friend, nearly falling over, causing Nathan to have to lift up his arms and push against Drake's chest to keep him from toppling over.
"I had a c-couple...d-drinks..." Drake spoke, his deep voice slurred, the odor worsening each time he opened his mouth.
He pushed himself away from Nathan, spinning around on the heels of his knee-length boots. He stumbled but thankfully stayed standing. As he spoke, he waved his arms around in gestures to the topic.
"You know, I was at the banquet and Grayson convinced me to get a drink. Then I gu-guess Lalea got upset." He hiccuped before he laughed, sending a shiver through Nathan's spine. It was jolly but unsettling as it mixed with a chaotic tone.
He lead his friend over to the couch, setting him down onto the cushion. Drake let his head fall to the side, letting out another hiccup. The mercenary gagged but he was slowly getting more used to the putrid smell of alcohol. He hated seeing Drake like this. He never expected the hybrid to be the drinking type, nor to get drunk so fast.
"I'll go get you some water." He said as he began to walk towards the kitchen.
Before he could get very far, a tight pressure constricted around his arm and stopped him in his place. He was barely able to turn his head and look at Drake's hand wrapped around his arm before he was suddenly pulled onto the couch. He yelped from the sudden movement, his blood pressure rising and heartbeat quickening. The next thing he felt was a heavy weight on top of him and warm, putrid breath brushing rhythmically against his face.
He opened his eyes, squinting as he immediately stared into the bright orbs of Drake's illuminated eyes. A smile twisted on the hybrid's face, flicking his tongue against his sparkling white teeth and lips as he purred.
The hazel eyed felt Drake's cold body pressed against his own. He pushed his head back into the couch, trying to move his arms to push the Mage away, but as he looked side to side, he saw his arms pinned beside his head. Drake's grip tightened around his wrists, causing the mercenary to whimper. And the hybrid adored his tiny sounds.
Nathan struggled but the hybrid on top of him was too heavy and much stronger compared to his build. He stopped and glared at the demi-god, letting out a hiss.
"What are you-?!"
He was cut off when Drake's lips slammed into his own, pressing so hard against his that for a moment, the forced kiss was painful. Eventually, the kiss softened and the pain eased, allowing Nathan to feel how soft the Mage's lips were. Drake purred as he dug his lips against the boy's, letting his grip on Nathan's wrist loosen just a bit.
The general felt the tension lift from his being as he slowly yet unconsciously began to relax, not really paying attention as he closed his eyes and kissed his friend back. Their lips locked together, a passion sparking.
Drake let go of his wrists, his arms moving down his body and slipping underneath Nathan's shirt. His tongue pushed against the auburns soft pink lips, trying to get them to part to allow him entry. Nathan opened his mouth to gasp for air, flinching as Drake took the advantage and shoved his tongue into his mouth. Nathan gave out a soft moan as he unconsciously grabbed Drake's waist and pulled him closer. Drake's right hand moved up and began to comb through the soft hair on the back of his head, getting more rough with the kiss.
The general eyes snapped open as Drake's arms moved to his chest and began to unbutton his shirt. He only unbuttoned one before the younger male once again got his brain to process what was happening. His pale face turned a deep red and filled with burning heat.
He pushed at the commander, getting him to move back but he remained sitting on the young adult. "Stop! This is wrong! You're only like a brother to me, n-nothing more! A-And you have a wife!"
Drake laughed in his drunken state and purred, leaning in closer. Nathan pushed his head back, his nose still twitching as the smell of his breath, although he had gotten used to it. With one hand forcing itself on the back of the boy's head and the other moving closer to his lower region, Drake leaned over to Nathan's left ear and whispered softly, almost as if he were currently sober.
"Come on! I see the way you look at me." He purred. "I'm more than just family to you, aren't I?"
Nathan didn't think his face could burn any hotter. Was he right? Did he really think of him as more than family? He remembered their time together, all of those amazing moments when they laughed with each other and talked and just got...close to one another. How being around Drake after a year of presuming that he was dead...made him realize just how much the hybrid made him feel whole. He made him feel strong and brave and feel like his life was not all mistake after mistake. Drake made him feel happy...happier than anyone he had ever met. He did love him, and it was then that he realized that this love was more than just for a friend or family. Perhaps he felt like this for awhile since Drake came back, but knowing that Drake loved Lalea, he repressed his feelings until he no longer knew what type of love he truly had for the half Enderman Mage.
Then he recalled how he felt whenever Drake and Lalea were around each other. This tight pressure always filled his chest and he'd become uncomfortable and anxious. Was that jealousy? Oh god...Lalea! What is she going to do if she finds out that he's cheating on her? How is Drake going to react when he comes back to his senses and it finally hits him that he had an affair against his wife?
"Drake, stop!" Finally, he was able to push him off, getting to his feet and flipping Drake so his back was pushed against the couch.
He shivered as Drake's hands were forced away from his body, the sudden cold against his skin displeasing. He stared into his friend's longing eyes, a tugging feeling in his chest. The boy shook his head and stood up straight, telling Drake to stay there while he went to get some water. The hybrid only giggled, clearly unaware of reality.
Nathan rolled his eyes as he went to the kitchen, filling up a glass of water. His body was still burning up, shaking uncontrollably. What the heck just happened?! He took in a couple breaths, heart pounding in his ears.
"He's just drunk. He doesn't know what he's doing." For some reason, that fact hurt him. Was this affection even real?
Nathan touched his side, a yearning for that warm touch rising. Wait, stop! He shook his head and went back out into the living room, only to find the hybrid snoring upon the couch. It was odd considering that Drake did not need sleep. He must have been so drunk that his mind made him too relaxed.
The general sighed, setting the glass down and getting a blanket from his room upstairs. Actually two, plus a pillow. He came back down, tossing a blanket over his friend and placed to pillow on the floor to rest his head on as he laid down. He kept staring at Drake, his face blanked in red.
The auburn licked his lips, still able to feel a faint phantom of Drake's lips against them. He wanted to feel that again...
Nathan turned over to face away from his friend, and apparent newfound crush. It took forever to get to sleep, his mind repeatedly playing that encounter over and over. He curled up, pulling his legs to his chest.
...
His eyes opened slowly the next morning, yawning as he sat up. His shoulder and back were sore from sleeping on the floor, his neck aching. He groaned as he rubbed it, messaging a shoulder blade before his attention averted to his friend who remained unconscious on the sofa. The hybrid was gently snoring, something that the auburn found to be cute. He giggled, imagining the hangover he was going to have. Nathan's smile lowered, thoughts once again being pulled to the events of last night.
The pounding in his chest was painful, hands becoming clammy. He crossed his legs, sitting on the floor as he stared off into space. This crush, it wasn't completely new but it had never been this strong. He never wanted to feel his touch as much as he did now, to finally say the words "I love you". Sure, last night was uncomfortable and he didn't want to...go that far, but...the encounter had sparked a yearning in his heart, or more so inflated the feelings he had already felt.
Nathan sighed and stood up, heading to the kitchen to cook breakfast, as well as emptying the glass of water he had gotten Drake last night and getting him a new glass. Drake awoke to the pleasant scent and hissing sound of burning meat, however the pleasantries were clouded with a spike of unwavering pain in his head. Despite that it was just a hangover from intoxication, he still saw those white eyes, recalling the headaches that demon would give him. Nathan jumped, nearly spilling breakfast onto the floor as Drake screamed.
He bolted out to Drake's side, kneeling in front of the hybrid as the Mage clawed at his head.
"Drake! What's wrong? Hangover?"
Drake hissed, cracking open his eyes. "That's what that is? H**l, how can Grayson even stand that?"
Nathan stood back up to his feet, his legs becoming wobbly. Keep it together, Nathan, he kept telling himself. He giggled, cheeks pink as he opened and clutched his fingers repeatedly. Drake laid back down on his back, arm over his eyes as he groaned and whimpered. A part of Nathan hated to see him in pain, knowing that he had been through so much, but then again, he did deserve it for getting drunk in the first place.
"Just rest up, Drake. I made breakfast, so stay here!"
He went back into the kitchen, putting his hand over his mouth and cheeks. Did Drake see him blushing? His head was probably in too much pain to notice, but the hybrid always had this weird thing with noticing detail. His hand moved down to his chest, his vision shaking with his thumping heartbeat. He kept telling himself to relax, attempting to repress all of these emotions. Anxiety, embarrassment, his longing, his love... The auburn bit into his lip, cursing these feelings.
After releasing a deep breath to relax, he grabbed two plates of food that had bacon and eggs on top. Simplistic and average, nothing too special despite being wealthy. His mind was wandering too much to focus any specially crafted meals. All he could think of was Drakes and glossy eyes and soft lips. He yelled at himself to get his mind to stop thinking of it.
"Nathan, you okay?" The hybrid called out, pain filling his cracking voice with each word.
"I'm fine," He lied, regaining his composure. "Just...almost burned myself is all." He giggled nervously, sweating from his forehead along with his palms.
Finally Nathan walked back out to the hybrid, setting a plate on Drake's chest, sitting on the floor next to Drake to eat his own, despite having an arm chair not too far away. He did regret not sleeping on that instead of the ruthless floor.
Drake giggled despite that it hurt his head. "I don't need to eat, Nathan."
"Well, you should after last night. Regain strength." The blush on his cheeks deepened.
Nathan jumped as Drake sat up, tossing off his blanket and setting his plate on the table. He rubbed his head, tears running down his face. Nathan's nervousness shifted to concern. Was he crying because of the pain or because of the memories that the pain brought with it? Memories... His eyes grew, face hot like fire. He felt sick, nauseous.
He opened his mouth but hesitated. He started with a sentence unrelated to his cause of anxiety to gain further time to gather himself together. "Not hungry?"
Drake shook his head. "Nathan, I can't eat. I...I just can't."
They both went silent. Nathan clawed at the legs of his pants, hardly able to get himself to focus on speaking. He was so nervous. If Drake could not remember, then would it be best to remind him? He did love Drake, but the hybrid already had a wife and if Drake remembered last night, would it not damage their relationship? Possibly end it?
Once more his trembling lips parted, mouth instantly going dry. "Drake, do..." He paused, clearing his throat. It was more difficult to say than it should have been. "Do you remember anything about last night?"
Drake was quite for a moment, squinting in pain as he attempted to recall. A part of Nathan wanted to vomit. He wanted Drake to remember, yet he did not want any memories to damper his relationship with Lalea. His hands clasped themselves together, his leg becoming restless until he grabbed onto it.
The hybrid's deep voice finally parted his lips. "I remember going to the banquet and then..."
His eyes grew, head lifting up with eyes displaying his sudden realization. Nathan's eyes also grew, preparing his mind for Drake's apologizes to shoot out, however, no apology whatsoever came forth.
"Lalea! She must be worried sick about me!"
The early adult stood up with a gasp when Drake suddenly sprung to his feet, attempting to bolt out of the door before collapsing with a howl of pain from his hangover induced migraine. Nathan fortunately got in front and caught him just in time.
"Drake, calm down!" The boy tried to lead him back to the couch but Drake was stronger than him, easily able to push past the lesser built.
Nathan growled, watching him about to step out. "You need to drink and you need to rest! I'm not letting you leave until you're better!"
Drake turned his head to face him, a look of pain, panic, and anger mixed into a single heartstopping glare. Nathan felt small in his somewhat harsh gaze, those glowing eyes never failing to strike fear into those who looked upon them.
"I got into a fight with her...I need to tell her that I am sorry. I need to tell her that I'm okay."
Nathan could barely hear past the repetitive pounding in his ears like thunder that refused to cease. Once more he tried to convince him to stay, his tongue had tied up with his words getting lost in his throat. All he could do was call for him after Drake thanked him and left with haste. Nathan stood in the doorway, watching him stumble.
He gasped to a bright orange glow out of the corner of his eyes, turning to see Noble on the ground, his fox familiar. His tail wagged, tongue sticking out. Despite being a fox spirit, Nathan could tell that it was being smug as he could read his thoughts.
"It's not funny!" Nathan snapped. The fox stopped wagging its tail, pointed ears lowering to his head. His master never snapped like that...
His ears lifted once more, watching tears fall from his master's eyes. "I've always been too much of a coward...I can't tell him how I feel. Even then, he's married now...it wasn't meant to be."
...
A few days had passed, Drake and Lalea rekindling their relationship. All Drake had to do was swear off drinking from then on, which he humbly agreed to. Nathan had watched them together in times were he and Drake were together and she would appear. This burning feeling in his chest, this jealousy had never been more intense. This pain...neither was that as strong as it was since he left his home. It hurt. So. Much.
While his relationship with Lalea had healed, Drake had noticed that Nathan was not coming to him as often as usual. Often times they would meet up and talk and joke during their free times, sometimes play pranks on one another and even on Mia and Grayson, however that was not happening in recent days. Even as Drake supervised him in training, his abilities were more lackluster than usual. Drake had tried to ask what was wrong, but the boy simply left.
"Nathan, wait up!" Drake called. Instead of slowing down, Nathan walked faster away from his secret crush.
He got in front of the boy, only to be pushed away. Drake watched as Nathan opened a door and entered a corridor, nearly slamming the door if it did not slow down automatically. Drake growled as he balled his fist, his eyes glowing bright and particles flying wildly around him until...
Nathan yelped and jumped back in surprise as Drake suddenly teleported in front of him. All around him was a high pitch, unworldly ringingly. He wanted to move, to cover his ears, but he was frozen; frozen in just the right position to stare into those illuminated glossy eyes.
"Nathan, tell me what's wrong with you?! You've been acting weird ever since I left your house! Tell me what is going on!" The hybrid demand. He never rose his voice like that, and when he did, Nathan knew that there was no backing out.
The General in red finally broke eye contact, averting his eyes to the floor. His hazel orbs darted around, and to his surprise, the corridor was desolate aside from a servant, who fortunately was walking away from them rather than towards. Once he knew that they were alone, he stared Drake dead in the eyes, forcing back all fear to allow his other emotions to fight for dominance.
"Do you know how much it hurts?!" Drake stepped back, taken by complete shock to hear his friend shouting. Nathan never shouted like this, in blind angered. Never.
Tears formed in his baggy eyes, face growing pink, continuing to darken. "To have my heart be played with like this?!"
Drake was confused, but he could feel the sorrow, anger, and pain radiating from his friend. His brow lowered, wondering why he was feeling this way and why it was seemingly directed towards him.
"Nathan, what are you talking about?"
The man dressed in red allowed his expression to soften, now more somber. "You still don't remember a thing, do you?"
Drake's brows lowered, his emotions joined by frustration and confusion. "Remember what? Nathan, just tell me what's wrong!"
Nathan stepped back, the anger that arose in Drake's voice rattling his core. Why was he taking this out on Drake? All anger faded from his expression, knowing that it was not Drake's fault that he could not recall what had happened that night. He turned around to stare at the floor. Did Drake really need to know the truth? Was it for better or worse that he did? Either way, his heart had not stopped aching, unable to get those words out of his head.
"I see the way you look at me." He quoted Drake out loud, rather unconsciously.
Drake's facial features were once more taken by confusion, along with a blush deepening in his human cheek. "What?"
He did not expect his friend to begin giggling, but it was not anything jolly. In fact, his giggle was accompanied with tears. Nathan cleared his throat, voice cracking from a dry mouth and throat. He could not take bottling it up much longer.
"Drake... what do you see me as? A-as a brother? As...more?...Do you feel the same way for me...as you do for Lalea?"
Both males now had faces consumed by red, blood rushing beneath their burning cheeks. Drake's eyes grew, realization sparking in his head. If his heart could beat, it would surely be thumping wildly. He tried to keep himself from twitching, twisting his wrists to satisfy the urge and keep from cracking his neck involuntarily.
He understood perfectly but it happened so suddenly, despite that Drake had known deep down for awhile now, that he needed confirmation. "Nathan, wh-what are you..?"
The younger male interrupted, eyes now red. "The other night when you came to my house..." He paused to collect his scrambled thoughts. Drake stared patiently yet eager for Nathan to continue. The human cleared his throat once more.
"Y-You...you kissed me a-and... I never felt so..." His voice cracked, a tear rolling down his cherry shaded cheek.
Drake froze. His mind took a moment to process, and when it finally did- "What?! I-I...kissed you?! I-I'm so sorry!" He covered his lips and backed up.
Nathan quickly spoke up. "You didn't let me finish! I never felt more loved, even if you were drunk and..." He trailed off, arms crossed over his chest, gripping his upper arms tight.
Drake opened his mouth, only for his admirer to continue. "I had no one growing up. My dad was...abusive in a sense, I had no mom, no friends or siblings. I hated Henry. Then I found you and Luke and Mia and... I had a family, but I never felt like what I do with you, this burning in my chest, this...jealousy whenever you're around her."
"Lalea?" Nathan nodded anxiously before he continued once more, mind so clustered that he did not know when to stop.
"Maybe it was nothing, just you being stupidly intoxicated, but...do you love me? Do you love me like you love Lalea? The truth."
He grew more and more anxious the longer Drake held his reply in. He was having difficulty breathing at this point, hearing nothing but his own racing heartbeat. Sweating uncontrollably, his head feeling light yet heavy at the same time. It was like the world around the two had stopped, as if only they now existed.
Drake looked down, words leaving past his lips that he never imagined that he would admit. "I do. I love you."
Nathan gasped, suddenly able to breathe once more. In a sudden instant, the weight of the world was lifted from his shoulders. The fear and anger and anxiety had faded away, leaving only joy. So much joy that now he was not crying in sorrow, but in jubilation. A shaking grin slowly lifted on his lips, eyes sparkling with pure happiness. He laughed, not noticing his pendant glowing.
Before he knew it, Nathan was suddenly pushed forward from behind. He yelped as he fell forward, suddenly finding himself in Drake's arms. He looked up into his eyes for a split moment before turning his head to see the fox spirit familiar, wagging his tail and prancing about as happy and proud as could be. Nathan glared at him, turning his head to apologize and pull back, but he could not pull away. Without any warning, Drake had pulled off his hat, lips smacking against his own, staying there as he sucked his lips in a deep kiss. At first Nathan was surprised, then his body relaxed to sink into the pleasure. His eyes closed, relishing the feeling his love returning his feelings physically. It was warm, gentle, and overall amazing. His arms wrapped around Drake, pulling him closer with a desperate need to feel him.
They pulled away, gasping after getting lost in their kiss that had turned into multiple. Nathan laughed, resting his forehead on the hybrid's chest. "You know, you tried more than just kissing that night."
Drake did not understand what he meant, at least not at first. His eyes snapped open, pushing Nathan away gently. Drake was shocked, and even more so embarrassed. He had never been interested in..that sort of stuff, not even with Lalea. Once again his human cheek had darkened.
"Sh*t, I'm so sorry! Did I actually-? I'm sorry!" He kept apologizing, Nathan finally stopping him when he was on the verge of tears.
He placed his finger over Drake's lips, giggling. "It's fine! But let's take it slow." He giggled once more, his words more of a joke considering that he knew that Drake had not done that fully to his own will. However, it did not make the Mage any less embarrassed.
Nathan's smile dropped. "What about Lalea? It's wrong to keep it from her, but-?!"
"I won't tell her. It's our little secret, okay?"
