They were definitely not your typical ghost hunting crew. That should be the first thing you know reading this. Other's who claimed they could talk to spirits couldn't do half the things Anne could.

Anne was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and shortly after her grandmother of whom she was very close to died her gift that she had been hiding for years became more developed thanks to a guide she said was named "Scarlett". According to the spirit Scarlett was actually Anne from a past life and was able to help her through some really hard times. Needless to say Anne was a lot different than her friends. She was tormented and put through hell in school for being different.

Anne was unique kind of beautiful. Natural strawberry blonde hair to her shoulders, freckles all over her body (though to be honest she hated them) her skin was so light it was like snow. The most memorable feature on her though were her piercing green eyes.

 Anne went to college she soon learned that she wasn't alone. There was a group of people who were around ghosts and spirits as well. It seemed like she fit in with them very well. Professor Lee noticed Anne sometimes though talking to Scarlett. Knowing now that she had a gift he wanted to know what all she could do with it. It wouldn't be easy though especially with her good friends Jack and Tyler.

There was one simple test the professor thought about putting her through. Anne and her two friends could become useful to him being able to prove that there was in fact life after death. He would take them to a nearby Asylum that had been rumored to be haunted. Of course no one believed it without any proof.

Speaking of her friends, Jack was normal height with blonde hair. He was usually always around Anne. They always said they were friends but you could easily tell that he wanted to be more but he wasn't sure if she was ready for something like that. Of course he would do anything that did Anne did so I know he would be easy to get on board.

Last is Tyler, he was already into Ghost Hunting so I am sure that he would have no problem going along for the ride. He was tall with black hair and a few tattoos an also wore mostly black. Still he was a good friend of Anne's and would once again follow her to the end of the earth. According to the reports from this place though we may be entering hell.

Next step for the professor, convincing the students. Perhaps he could make this seem like extra credit?

Professor Lee's POV

Right after the bell rang I decided to make my move as I went up to Anne and her two friends. I knew it wouldn't be a problem convincing Tyler, Anne though may be a bit harder. I knew she was afraid of her gift and would usually do whatever Scarlett told her to do.

"Miss Hayworth? May I have a word with you?" I ask her walking up to her group.

"Uh yeah, sure professor." she says as she walks up to me as the two men walk out into the hall to wait for her.

"Miss Hayworth a wonderful opportunity has presented itself to me and I am in need of a team. I was hoping you and your two friends would like to join me for the weekend for a little experiment?" I ask her knowing she would be curious of what I was talking about.

"What kind of experiment professor?" she asks me as she looks to the door and see Jack looking in at us.

"Nothing to worry about, though it would mean extra credit. Can I count you and your two friends in? It would be just the right number of people for this." I tell her but not letting her know my real reason.

"Uh I don't know, I mean I would have to ask them-" she starts but I quickly stop her.

"Your two friends are close to failing my class, I am sure they need my extra credit. Just make sure you and your two friends meet my team here at 7:30 sharp tonight. See you then Miss Hayworth." I tell her as I turn away and walk back to my desk.

I sit down and watch as she grabs her things while still looking at me curiously. I know she doesn't trust me and she is smart for not trusting me either. Still knowing her powers might work I may be finally able to prove that there is in fact life after death. Finally the one goal of all of my studies would be accomplished. Anne makes her way to the door where Jack then takes one of her hands and Zak takes the other and they lead her away from my classroom. This would work, that girl well young woman is the key to my success.

Anne's POV

Alright I admit it Professor Lee is kinda hot and I have kind of had a crush on him all year but now, he is acting really odd. I mean what kind of experiment is he talking about? Why wouldn't he give me any other information about it? Even where the location was? It all just didn't add up but I knew he was right when he said Jack and Tyler needed the extra credit. Ugh the things I do for these two!

"Hey what happened in there?" Jack asked in his wonderful British accent.

"He offered us extra credit, and when I say us I mean mostly you two since I am passing this class." I tell them arching my eye brows at the both of them.

"Hey come on, this guy takes things way too seriously. I know this is his life work but if he keeps it up like this he is gonna join his work and be dead." Tyler says with a scoff.

"What kind of extra credit?" Jack asks me as he stops all of us in our tracks.

"You see that's the odd part, all he said was it was an experiment, nothing to worry about and be back here by 7:30 sharp tonight." I tell Jack as I look from him to Tyler.

"Yeah, like that isn't odd at all." Tyler says looking at our group.

"I know it sounds odd but I mean what is the worst that could happen? Plus you two need the extra credit. I swear why do I put up with you two?" I ask them with a giggle.

"Cause you love us." Jack says putting his arm around me and kissing my head playfully. "Alright we'll go if your going but after this then you owe us."

"I owe you? I fail to see how that is possible." I tell him with a half hearted laugh.

"Cause we don't know what we are getting ourselves into, thanks to you." Tyler says also wrapping his arm around my neck.

"Ugh you two drive me crazy you do know that right?" I ask them both.

"That's what we're here to do love, drive you crazy." Jack says as he smiles at me.

That night right on time we returned to Professor Lee's classroom to see at least 5 or 6 other people joining us on this little adventure. I was confused and so was Jack and Tyler as we walked inside the room and looked at them. To my unfortunate surprise Brittany the school cheerleader who loved to make fun of me seemed to be going as well.

"Oh look everyone, the freaks we needed for the group are here." I hear Brittany say as I just look at the floor. I really hated that girl I mean it.

Then I feel someone put their hand on my back, I turn around expecting it to be Jack or Tyler but to my surprise it is professor Lee. Uh ok am I the only one who feels a little odd by this or is it just me?

"Miss Hanes, we are to treat people with respect, that goes for Miss Hayworth as well." the professor tells her as he looks down at me and smiles.

"Oh professor, we're spending the weekend together can't we call everyone by their first names?" she asks a little too preppy for my tastes.

"Alright, let's go around the room and tell our first names. Then we shall pack up and get a move on." the professor says not moving from my side.

"I'll introduce my group, the cool group. I'm Brittany of course you knew that, then we have Chad, Thomas, Mike, Aaron and Paul." she says not tearing her eyes away from the professor as I just rolled mine.

"Alright, only this weekend you may address me as Lee. Miss Hayworth introduce your group please?" the professor asks me.

"Right, well I'm Anne then there is Jack and Tyler." I say as I look at the group of men Brittany brought.

"Good, now lets get our things packed in the Van and get going." the professor says finally releasing me and taking a suit case out of the room.

Brittany and her group grab the rest of the bags and walk out but not before she sticks her tongue out at me. I mean come on who does that? I just sigh as Jack comes up and hugs me followed of course by Tyler.

"You know wherever we are going, I hope it gets her first." Tyler says with a laugh.

"I completely agree." I say as the three of us start walking to the door.

We all finally got to the van and loaded inside. Just as I was about to sit down I feel a hand stop me. I turn around and see the professor smiling at me again. Ok what have I done to bring out this much attention from him?

"Why not sit up front with me Anne?" the professor asks me with a kind smile.

Ok for anyone who ever thought their teacher was hot or cute you know what is going trough my head right now. The little school girl inside of me is going crazy. He wants me to sit up front with him! Heck yeah! In your face Brittany. I just smile and nod as he opens the passenger door for me and I quickly sit in the seat and put on my seatbelt. Though as I look in the rear view mirror I see a very unhappy Jack and Tyler. Oh I am so going to pay for this later, I just know it.

The professor gets in the drivers side and starts the van. Well now is as good a time as ever to find out where the heck we are going and why. "Professor? Where exactly are we going?" I ask him curious.

"Well Anne please call me Lee and we are going on what you would call a ghost hunt. There is a supposed haunted Asylum just a few hours from here and we are going to check it out for three nights but leave during the day of course." Lee says looking at me then the van takes off.

A ghost hunt? Wait does he know about my uh little gift? I can talk to spirits but I have never been able to see them. Well to be honest I wouldn't want to see any from an Asylum. That would probably scare the life out of me. I just look back at Jack and Tyler and can see they are freaked out as well. They both know about my gift and that is why they stick so close to me. To make sure nothing or no one can hurt me. At least that is what they tell me.

This isn't going to be an easy trip I know that already...Will something really happen?
