Tyler's POV

I still didn't trust Lee as the one who was supposed to find Anne but I knew not to argue with Scarlett, after all she was a lot older than me and I was pretty sure that she knew what she was doing. Just as we went into the main hall Scarlett stopped us and turned to look at us.

"This will be one of the worst obstacles that you have ever encountered in your lives, are you two willing to do anything even fight true evil to help Anne and get out of here?" Scarlett asks us.

"Without a doubt." Jack answers quickly.

"To hell and back." I reply as Scarlett smiles at us.

"Good, I will not be able to go with you but there are two others that have offered to help you as much as they can." Scarlett says as the young girl and another woman appear before us. "This is Katie, Anne's aunt and the other woman is Amelia, Anne's grandmother. They will be able to watch over you."

"Where will you go Scarlett?" I ask her wondering why she is all the sudden abandoning us.

"I will go to Lee to see if he had accomplished his job, after that you will see soon." Scarlett says as she start to walk to the stairs.

"Well boys you ready to see what true evil looks like?" Katie asks us.

"Katlyn! Don't worry boys all the good spirits here have faith in you. All you two have to do is draw him out here and distract him." Amelia tells us.

"Then what happens after that?" Jack asks them.

"Scarlett just said, you'll have to wait and see." Katie answers as she looks to her mother.

"The easiest way to draw him out is fear, show real, true fear." Amelia suggests to us.

"Besides how freaked out we are right now how do you suggest we do that?" I ask them.

"We could show you the worst fear in both of your hearts." Katie suggests.

"Katie, make it quick we don't have much time." Amelia tells her daughter.

With a snap of Katie fingers a mist forms in the middle of the room and there in the center we see Anne's body, covered in blood. Jack is the first to run over to her and grab her as I run up to Anne's other side. I couldn't believe my eyes she was dead.

"Should we tell them it isn't really her?" Katie asks in whisper to her mother.

"No, this will bring out the fear, anger and rage they both need." Amelia whispers back.

Jack looks at me and I can see we are both holding back tears now. Anne meant a lot t both of us. Not only was she our friend but she was the closest thing to family either of us had ever known. I look back to Anne as Jack tries to wipe the blood off her face. I can see the love that Jack has for her now more than I ever had.

"Anne? Can you hear me love?" Jack says with pure sadness in his voice.

"You need to avenge her. Now you can never see her again." Amelia tells us.

Jack grab's Anne's body and holds her close to his chest. I didn't know what to say to him but I knew that Amelia was right, now we had to avenge Anne. No matter what we had to do. I could just tell he was broken now, it made me wonder if he would be able to get through this.

"Alright you asshole! We're here come get us! You took someone we loved now you gotta face us!" I say as I stand up and yell as loud as I can. "You had to hurt an angel! Someone pure and innocent?! You are just a coward!

After a couple more taunts I see one of the other jocks that we didn't see get killed come forward clapping his hands. I had a feeling the collector was now taking over his body.

"Quite a performance Tyler, though shouldn't you be the one down there holding the love of your life?" the dark voice asked me.

"She's just as safe in his arms as she would be in mine." I yell back at him.

"Looks to me like she wasn't safe at all, you both failed her and just let her die." the voice argues back with me.

"Don't listen to him Tyler, you know that's a lie!" Jack yells at me.

I knew that whatever this thing was it was just trying to get under my skin. I couldn't let it do that. I knew that Anne wouldn't blame me or Jack for that matter probably not even that stupid teacher. Al of us grabbed for her and tried to grab her. I saw the pain in her eyes I swear to god I tried to grab her.

"Anne wouldn't blame us for something we couldn't control." I tell the voice.

"Oh really? I have her here would you like to ask her?" the voice says with a dark laugh.

"That isn't Anne, I know the trick you can play in here you evil son of a bitch and it wont work on me." I tell him as I see Katie and Amelia come to my side.

"Really the whole good over evil again? Doesn't this story line ever get boring to you people?" the voice asks.

"Good will always win, even if it takes a little longer." Jack says as he slowly joins my side.

"Oh how sweet, you two do realize you are both in love with the same woman? Well when she was alive I mean." the voice says.

"Don't try and make us turn against one another, it won't work. We have known all along." I lie to him I had never told anyone of my feelings for Anne.

"Stay strong guys, your doing good." Katie says as she puts her hand on my back.

"Think of all of your memories with Anne, you are fighting this evil for her." Amelia says as she walks behind Jack.

We just needed to distract him. Scarlett knew what she was doing...right?
