Finding Anne

*Side note pic above is just a picture of what Anne is now wearing*

Lee's POV

"This is where you must separate, I know you all fear what is in here and you should be however you must find Anne before it is too late. If the darkness over comes her then she will be lost to us forever." Scarlett explains as we reach the stairs.

I knew that neither Tyler or Jack trusted me to actually look for Anne but try and find a way out of here on my own. I wasn't about to leave her behind though, Anne was a kind and brave soul to leave her behind would truly be a sin.

"Lee, upstairs check every room that you can while I direct the others to where they should look." Scarlett tells me as she points to the stairs.

I was scared to death to go up there on my own but even more nervous about what my happen to Anne if we don't get to her in time. I start up the stairs with more fear in my heart than I had ever had in my life. Would she be up here? Was she even still here? All the thoughts going through my head would be enough to make a normal person go crazy. I still knew I had a job to do, Scarlett told me I had to find Anne and keep her safe.

This I would have to do even if it cost me my own life. I finally reached the landing and looked around. Where on earth could whatever it was possibly be keeping her? I start to search room to room until I get to the end of the left hall. I read the door before me and it's labeled "Chapel".  Would they really put her in there? I didn't know but as I opened the door a bit of hope inside me lifted up. I walked in side and it was a very large chapel it almost looked as if it hadn't been touched at all.

I walked through the seats as I came to the center aisle. I looked forward up to the alter and to my surprised there on the alter lay a hopefully sleeping Anne. I ran up to her as fast as I could. What was also odd was her clothes from before were now replaced with a beautiful white satin gown, it almost looked like a wedding dress. I took my hand in hers and was happy to feel the warmth of her skin.

"Anne? Can you hear me?" I ask her as I look down at her face.

"She can't hear you." I hear a voice say.

I look up and see the little girl from earlier looking right at me. I was scared to move but she just smiled at me.

"You don't need to be afraid of me, my mother and I brought her in here. This is the only place the collector can't come." the girl who I remembered name was Katie tells me.

"What was that thing that grabbed her? It just looked like smoke?" I ask her wondering if she will give me any answers.

"That was the collector, right now it doesn't have a body but something tells me it won't take him long to find one. I think two of those other men are still running around here alive." Katie explains to me.

"Why can't he come in here?" I ask her now.

"This is a holy place, the collector is evil therefore he is not allowed to enter this room. Mom told me this would be the safest place for Anne." Katie says looking down to Anne.

"How are you related to Anne?" I ask seeming to be full of questions.

"You ask a lot of questions don't you? Well her mother Elizabeth was my sister, she was three years older than me so when the horrible thing happened here she was safe as school while mom and I were caught in the curse." Katie says as she slowly looks up to me. "I never thought I would ever get to see anyone from my family besides mom again. Yet you brought Anne here and you put her in true danger."

"I never knew anything like this would happen, believe if I did I would have never come let alone put Anne in danger." I admit to her.

"Anne is not an experiment, I do not like you treating her as one either." Katie tells me. "You either treat her well or I will make sure the collector finds you."

"I will not leave her side, why isn't she waking up though?" I ask yet another question.

"Mother said she needed rest but she should wake sometime soon I hope, something tells me the other two guys downstairs will need her." Katie says as she comes to my side.

"What about Scarlett she said they needed to fight something?"

"They do, however they can't do it without Anne. They can only last so long without her. I will try to help them as much as I can as will my mother but I can't tell you for sure they will live." Katie says as she turns to leave.

"I'm sorry Katie, I truly am." I tell her as I look her way.

"If the worst happens, you had better take care of her. She has a long fulfilling life ahead of her. I would hate to see you ruin it." Katie says as she disappears.

That girl ghost really doesn't like me. Not that I blame her I did put one of her family members life in complete hell. I turned back to Anne to see her still sleeping. Was there anyway to wake her up a bit faster? I didn't want her to loose her two best friends who were downstairs fighting for her as well. I just felt completely useless as I looked at her angelic face. I had no idea how special Anne was yet I had the nerve to think I could use her. What kind of man does that make me?

I couldn't help myself I leaned down and kissed Anne's forehead. I wish I knew a way to wake her up. I would do anything to see her beautiful green eyes again. I pull away and look down and her and to my dismay she still sleeps.
