Pressing onto the accelerator of the car, you took a glance at the rearview mirror and discerned the reflection of Taehyung’s car.

It was a coffee-colored Maserati. You raised one of your eyebrows before muttering, “He has a good collection of cars. Just my type.”

You licked your lower lip before clamping onto it with your teeth as you crumpled your eyebrows thinking what you just said, “Just my type.” You shook your head, left and right, “I was talking about the car.” You declared to yourself as if trying to prove to someone.

You nodded twice as you tightened the clutch onto the steering wheel of your car and gulped down a lump in your throat, letting out a light sigh.

Looking back in the rearview mirror, you couldn’t see his car making you furrow your eyebrows but then heard a car honk from the opposite side.

Twitching your head to the other side, you saw Taehyung accelerating his car beside yours.

You looked up at him while he was already looking at you with his shimmering cocoa orbs. He was staring straight through your soul as he glided his side of the window glass down.

You raised your left eyebrow at him after taking a glance at the empty road ahead of you as he mouthed, “Searching for me, Princess.” You scrutinized his lip-syncing, deciphered his sentence, and let out a scoff before pointing an index finger of yours at yourself, shaking your head as a no, and saying, “Me. No. Why would I?”

You licked your lower lip before changing the gear of the car while Taehyung let out a chuckle and smirked before looking ahead of himself and staring back at your profile.

He raised his left eyebrow at you, “This girl is a bit stubborn but… she is mine.” Taehyung declared.

A warm smile appeared on his visage before you took a glance at him and got a vista of his smile, “Eternal. I may not agree to it in front of him but I am sure- no, definitely attracted to him in all the possible ways. I am afraid that he will get to know about it soon or maybe he already knows about it. He knows what my eyes hold for him.”

Taehyung looked back on the road from you but saw a truck on the side of the road you were driving on.

His eyes widened while his eyebrows furrowed in a jiffy before he twitched his head to look at you who was staring at him without any sense of concentration on the road.

His heart flipped when he saw you weren’t changing the direction of the car but just gazing at him but he howled, “Y/N! WATCH OUT!” His heart was hammering inside his chest while he watched the expressions on your visage as your eyebrows got furrowed watching Taehyung shouting.

Hastily yet anxiously, you turned your head straight only to discern a truck coming in your direction making your heartbeat skip at that exact instant when Taehyung accelerated the speed of his car as you promptly twirled the steering.

At the same time, Taehyung swiveled his car before pressing the brakes and pulling onto the hand break with his right hand.

Looking ahead of him, he looked at you putting on a break ahead of his car while breathing heavily as your chest heaved up and down.

The truck passed by your car but Taehyung didn’t even twitch his eyes for once. His eyebrows were furrowed and his eyes held rage which could be seen with the tincture of rudeness in the fringe of his eyes.

You looked at him through the windshield, locking your eyes with his as you blinked with your heart hammering inside your ribcage.

Removing his seatbelt, Taehyung jumped out of his car within a second before marching towards your car.

You took a glance at him as you stretched your hand over to your chest to simmer down your heartbeat. Your lips were parted while your throat was burning and you took in some deep breaths through your mouth.

Stretching your hand, you opened the door of your car to let the fresh air in before removing your seatbelt and jumping out of the car, letting out a deep breath.

You glanced at Taehyung who was sprinting towards you as you looked at him with your soft yet perturbed orbs.

Taehyung gazed down at you with his rushing steps as you discerned his angry eyes which held bother in them, “Taehyung-” You whispered but before you could say anything further, you felt him wrapping his arms around your back making your breath hitch.

You could feel the ground beneath your feet sliding away as he lifted you off the road as a squeal left your mouth before he exhaled deeply with his mouth propping his chin on your shoulder while you clutched onto his suit jacket.

Placing you back on the road, you could feel his slender fingers digging into your skin which was hindered in the black dress.

You rested your profile on his chest while your hands were hanging sideways his physique while he tightened his clutch onto your frame.

“Oh! Y/n… You scared the shit out of me.” He whispered in his soft voice as he glided his hand on the back of your head, tangling his slender fingers inside your tresses.

You could feel him taking long breaths as his chest heaved up and down against yours while you breathed with him, rhythmically.

Elongating your hand reluctantly you got a hold of his suit jacket as you clutched onto the handful material of his coat and closed your eyes feeling safe in his warm embrace.

It felt like he would protect you from the world without letting you have a single scratch.

“My whole life flashed in front of my eyes. I thought I would lose you today.” He whispered, unwittingly while you leisurely opened your eyes at his words before he continued, “We would have gone in the same car. This wouldn't have happened.” He declared, furthermore.

You gulped down while your cheeks were getting warm as he broke the hug, retreating himself. He glided his hand down to your arms and held your upper arm, locking his soft and worried eyes with your befuddled ones.

“Are you hurt somewhere?” He asked, traveling his eyes all over your face as he stretched his hand towards your visage and cupped your cheeks while you were staring at him with your accelerating heartbeat.

He twitched his orbs down at your hands as he held both of your palms with his not-so-soft ones as you blinked, looking at him, “Are you okay?” He asked, gazing straight into your soul making the words stuck in your throat.

Not getting an answer he threw another question at you, “What were you thinking? Where was your attention? Hmm?” He asked, gazing straight into your eyes as you could see the anxiousness in his orbs.

“You.” You let out a whisper without any acknowledgment while he wiggled both of his orbs through yours.

His already racing heart skipped a beat at your whisper while you gazed into his shimmering eyes.

You discerned the cold sweat over his temples and forehead while his once gelled-up locks were a bit messed up now.

His heart wasn't at ease, you could see the panic in his expression until now when you were safe in his arms.

“I thought I was seeing him the last time but seeing him worried makes me anxious. Is he that much worried about me? But why? Does he really have feelings for me?” You thought as you unwittingly stretched your hand up to his visage.

He didn't twitch his globes away from yours even once, not letting your moving hand gain his attention until he felt your cold tip of fingers on his temple as you leisurely swiped his locks up to his forehead, pushing his hairs back which were hindering his eyes.

Getting a clear view of his eyes, he could feel you gliding your fingertips down to his cheeks making him close his eyes at your touch before he opened them in a second or two and gazed into your Hazel orbs which didn’t describe anything else other than love.

You skimmed the pad of your thumb against his cheeks while your heart was still uneasy just with the thought, “What if it was the last time I was seeing you?” You cupped his jaw in your weeny palm while looking into his eyes.

You leisurely slipped your palm down to his chest as you felt his uneven heartbeat against your palm.

Wiggling your eyes from his chest back to his eyes he took a step towards you as he placed his palm above yours before you said, “Your heart is racing.” You blinked as he let out a deep breath, licking his lower lip and clamping onto it with his teeth.

“I told you that you make my heartbeat rush.” He said, trying to make the atmosphere cooler other than his heart.

You gulped down before asking, “Then what would have happened if I had gotten into an accident and died-” Your sentence was interrupted by him.

Taehyung stretched his hand to your lips before propping his index finger over your petals, “Don’t even think about it.” He declared as his eyebrows stiffened and his eyes had a sense of brood within them before he continued, “I won’t let anything happen to you until my last breath.”

“I will protect you with my whole life if you are beside me or miles away.” Taehyung thought, stretching his hand back over yours which was propped over his chest as he stiffened his grip on your waist making shivers run down your spine.

Your lips were parted as you licked them with your tongue while he took a glance at them before looking back into your eyes as you muttered, “Are you making up a dialogue to impress me?” You raised one of your eyebrows at him, making him roll his eyes at you before he let out a sigh.

Poking the tip of his tongue through his inner cheek, “You- Like you think I am saying this just to impress you, hmm?” He asked, staring at you with his stern eyes while you could only discern the veracity all over his face, “He isn’t really in any mood to joke right now. I could feel his heart still beating at an irregular pace.” You thought.

Your eyebrows crumpled as you gazed through his eyes showing verity before he declared, “Try me if you really don’t believe me. I won’t regret it.” He declared in his sonorous voice, sending shivers down your spine.

You could feel butterflies lingering around your heart, going down your stomach.

“You are coming with me today. Let’s go.” He declared as he slipped his hand from your back while you opened your mouth to say something but nothing came out, “I will ask the chauffeur to take your car home.” He declared, holding your hand, sternly before sauntering towards his car with you beside him.

You could feel your heart fluttering at his protectiveness and care. You took a glance at his profile before he looked at you, catching you staring at him as you instantly twitched your eyes away and gulped down a lump in your throat, “This man beside me whom I believe I hated, Is gravitating me closer to himself day by day and I think… I am falling for him!”
