Chapter one
I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock blaring repeatedly. It's kept blaring loudly much to my annoyance.
"Shut up!" I shouted to no one in particular covering my head with a pillow.
But will it even listen, no. The stupid thing kept blaring and it's seems like it's getting louder each second on purpose just to disrupt my beautiful sleep.
I sat up with a loud groan clearly fed up, with little consideration of what I was doing, I took the clock and threw it against the wall causing it to make a loud crashing sound as it broke into pieces.
Well, can you blame me? I hate disturbance early in the morning.
And my parents obviously heard the sound because they literally ran into my room in panic. They both sighed seeing what I have done.
Clearly, this wasn't my first time.
"Mama" my dad called me.
He sometimes like to call me by that because I have his mother's name.
"How many times will I tell you? You off it not throw it away exppecially not against the wall" he said sternly yet gently like he was talking to a little child.
"Sorry" I muttered looking guilty
"That is what you say everytime it happened. This is the sixth one this month dan Allah" mum said clearly fed up.
"There is only one way to end this. No buying alarm clocks I will be waking you up myself" she added firmly.
And guess what, dad nodded in agreement.
Great, just great!
After my parents had finished making the wonderful (notice my sarcasm) decision of waking me up themselves, they left me alone to get ready for school.
I looked through my window and gawked at the beautiful sight.
The early morning sun has taken it rightful position in the blue sky, there were very few clouds spread all over giving the sky a simple yet beautiful look.
Birds flew around the garden that was in our backyard.
Yap my window is positioned near the garden. Amazing right?
The sound of the birds chirping could be heard making a sweet sound that brightens up the early morning mood.
I yawned loudly and stretched a bit and then stood up from my queen sized bed and headed to the bathroom were I had a long shower.
I then dressed up for school in a white shirt with a school logo on the left side, my purple skirt which has white stripe lines stopped right above my knees and it fitted me perfectly.
After combing my slick black hair, I put on some mascara and lipstick. I glance at the mirror checking my appearance. I look a lot like my mum. I have her black shoulder length her, fair skin and plump pink lips.
I was satisfied with my appearance so I darted downstairs for breakfast.
"Good morning" I greeted my Wonderful parents kissing them both on the cheeks.
They both responded lovingly as I sat down and helped myself with some pancakes and a cup of tea.
•••
My school was just some few minutes drive away from home but dad always liked to drop me off whenever he is around.
He is not always at home because he is a business man and travels alot. Though he always try his best not to travel much.
Am the only child and my beloved parents like to pamper me and shower me with lots of love and care.
I was told that my parents spend about five years in their marriage before giving birth to me.
They had tried everything, going for medical check ups but the doctors always told them that nothing was wrong with my mum. They eventually got tired and gave up.
It was after several years that the unexpected happened. My parents were overjoyed and after I was born, they made sure I lacked nothing.
"Take care dear" dad said after we arrived at school, and he kissed my forehead affectionately. I smiled at him, my heart swelling with happiness.
"I will" I told him as I stepped out of the car.
