Chapter Four
"ᎢᎻᎪᎢ ᏆᏚ Ꭺ ᏞᎾᏌᏆᏚ ᏙᏌᏆᎢᎢᎾN."
The four of them strolled through the airport. Thankfully, their flight to Bangkok was currently on time to leave at 3:15 pm. Eugene would be lying if he said he wasn't a little excited about the wedding. They were going to have a good time and it was nice to be away from the kids.
"Hey, there he is." Hiccup smiled, rushing towards a stranger to the rest of them. He had dark hair and dark eyes. He looked pretty young, like he was in college or just got out of high school.
"Hey, Hic." He replied back, a smile wide on his face.
"Teddy." Hiccup said, pulling him in for a hug. "What's up? How are you?"
"Good. It's good to see you, man." Teddy said as they pulled apart.
"All right." Hiccup nodded.
Kristoff immediately didn't like him. "Who's this guy, Hic?" He asked, glaring at the stranger.
"This is Teddy, Mulan's little brother." Hiccup explained, gently patting his shoulder. "Goes to Stanford. Premed. This is Eugene, Jack, and Kristoff." He introduced. Hiccup really did like Teddy. He was a smart kid and was actually pretty funny. He was typically quiet, but you better listen when he spoke because it was usually funny.
"Hi, nice to meet you, man." Jack said, holding out his hand.
"Wow, Stanford. How old are you?" Eugene asked. The kid looked too young to be going to Stanford, especially for premed.
"I'm--"
"Um, he's 17. Kind of a genius." Hiccup smiled. He was slightly testing himself to see if he got his age right, but was mostly showing him off. Hiccup was really proud of the kid.
"Actually, I'm 16." Teddy corrected with a smile. "And I'm not a genius. My dad just had me take the entrance exams early." He chuckled.
"Because you're a genius." Hiccup said, making him smile. He really didn't think he was that smart. But it felt nice to know Hiccup thought so highly of him.
"So, what are you, a doctor?" Kristoff asked, never taking his brown eyes off of the kid.
"No. Not yet. I'm premed."
"Ever heard of that guy Doogie Howser?" Kristoff pressed. Everyone turned and looked at Kristoff. He did realize that was just a tv show, right?
"Yeah." Teddy said. Okay, this guy was a little strange.
"Well, he turned out to be a gay." Kristoff said.
"Kristoff." Jack scolded. He was mostly responsible of Kristoff while they were on this trip. He was going to make sure he didn't completely embarrass Hiccup or ruin the wedding. So far, he was doing a terrible job.
"It's true. I read it in Teen People." Kristoff said, glancing at Jack out of the corner of his eyes.
"Right." Teddy chuckled. "Okay, well, I'm gonna grab a book or something for the plane. You guys want anything?" He offered. He needed to get away from this awkward situation.
"No, thanks." Eugene said.
"I'm good." Jack nodded.
"I would actually love a Smartwater." Hiccup smiled at Teddy.
"Cool." Teddy said as he walked through them to go find a store.
"Thanks." Hiccup said, gently slapping Teddy's back. Once he was out of earshot, Hiccup leaned forward. "What's the matter with you? He's 16-years-old."
"Yeah, Kristoff. Take it easy." Eugene joined in. Kristoff was already maki it hard on Hiccup. The guy didn't want him along at all and this just had to be driving him insane.
"Well, I'm a little confused. Is he just here to see us off or what?" Kristoff asked, pointing to Teddy in the distance. "How does this work?"
"How does what work?" Jack asked, confused by Kristoff. Jack knew full well that Kristoff had been a plane several times. This was nothing new for him. They had flown around the world by the time he was 12.
"Is that person coming to the wedding?" He asked, getting a little grumpy that he had to clarify what he was talking about.
"Yes, Kristoff. My bride's little brother is coming to the wedding. Is that okay with you?" Hiccup asked, slightly annoyed. Why would Teddy just see them off and then stay here? That didn't make any sense.
"Well, it's just the first I've heard of it. You could have paged me." Kristoff said. He walked away from them, heading towards their terminal. He was annoyed that he wasn't told they were adding a member to their wolf pack. Well, he wasn't a member but he was tagging along with them.
The rest of them sighed looking at the ground. It was going to be a long few days. "Don't overreact. It's gonna be fine." Jack said as they slowly walked behind Kristoff.

Thankfully for them, they had arrived at the perfect time. There were exactly five seats open. The four of them sat down, glad to be off their feet. Still feeling mad at Hiccup, Kristoff put his bag on the empty seat between him and Hiccup, separating himself from the group.
"Hey. Mind if I sit?" Teddy asked, coming back with a book, a water for Hiccup, and a neck pillow.
"Wolf pack only. Find another chair." Kristoff snapped, not looking up from his phone. Would this kid just leave them alone? It was clear he was not wanted.
"There's no wolf pack, Kristoff." Hiccup said, trying to stay calm. Kristoff was really ticking him off about this whole Teddy thing. "Come on."
"It's no problem. I can find--"
"Teddy, don't be ridiculous. You're sitting here." Hiccup cutting off Teddy and grabbing Kristoff's bag to throw to the ground. Teddy was going to sit by them no matter what. Hiccup didn't care what Kristoff thought. He could just not come along if he had a problem.
"Careful. That's a Louis--" Kristoff warned as the bag hit the ground. He turned and glared at Hiccup. "That is a Louis Vuitton."
Cautiously, Teddy approached the open seat. "Thanks." He said as he handed Hiccup his water. He tried to take up as little of room as possibly as he sat between Hiccup and Kristoff. He felt awkward beside Kristoff.
Kristoff glanced over and Teddy could feel his stare. "That's a nice neck roll."
"Thanks. You can use it if you want." Teddy offered, trying to make peace with Kristoff.
"Okay." Kristoff said, grabbing the pillow. He stared at it for a while then chucked it across the room. Jack looked over, watching Teddy slouch in his seat as Kristoff put on his headphones. It would be a long flight.
