Chapter Thirteen
"ᎠᎪᎠᎠY'Ꮪ ᏩᎾNNᎪ KᏆᏞᏞ ᎷᎬ."
"By the way, we're all gonna die." Hiccup said as they started wheeling the tiger out of the room. They had the tiger's unconscious body covered in towels on a suitcase cart. They hoped it wouldn't be too suspicious. Or that the tiger would wake up.
"Wait. Shh, shh." Kristoff said, pulling a towel over the sharp teeth as they steered the cart.
Badly.
The cart rammed into the wall, making the tiger let out a low growl.
"Oh, God." Hiccup said.
"Watch it." Eugene said to Kristoff.
"His nose." Hiccup sighed, stopping the cart. "That's his nose."

Somehow, the three of them were able to get the tiger into the backseat of the car without anyone giving them suspicious looks, considering it looked like they were carrying a body. It was also a surprise that the tiger didn't wake up.
The three looked worse than ever before. Kristoff's left eye was swollen and a deep purple while his forehead still had a red line from the crowbar. Hiccup's missing tooth and torn and dirty shirt made him look like he just came off the streets. Eugene's lip was swollen, dried blood was on his shirt, and his ribs were starting to kill him. The worst part though was that they were still missing Jack.
They were crammed in the front seat, Hiccup in the middle and Eugene driving. None of them were speaking, just silently watching Vegas light up as the sun hid behind the horizon.
Kristoff leaned over, looking at them. "Hey, guys, when's the next Halley's Comet?"
"Who cares, man?" Eugene sighed, not wanting to talk. He was exhausted, but they couldn't stop till they rescued Jack and returned the unconscious tiger.
"Do you know, Hic?"
Hiccup sighed, thinking about it. "I don't think it's for, like, another 60 years or something." He softly said.
"But it's not tonight, right?"
"No, I don't think so." Hiccup quietly said, shaking his head.
"But you don't know for sure?" Kristoff asked, studying Hiccup.
Hiccup took a deep breath. "No."
Kristoff shuffled in his seat. "I got this cousin Marcus who said he saw one. He said it blew his mind. I wanna make sure I never, ever miss out on a Halley's Comet. So if you guys know if there's gonna be one--"
A large growl came from behind them, cutting Kristoff off.
The three of them flipped around, screaming in horror at being trapped with an angry, awake tiger in a car on a busy Vegas highway.
"Oh, fuck!" Eugene shouted, stepping on the pedal to go faster and gripping on the wheel. The three of them jumped around on the seats, fear coursing through their bodies as they tried to figure out what to do to survive.
Eugene began swerving, accidentally hitting the side of the railing. He swung the car back over, trying to control his thoughts from being eaten and crashing. He screamed in pain as the tiger scratched his shoulder. He used his left hand to grab his shoulder, accidentally ramming into the side of a bus and bouncing back over to his lane.
He pulled over to the side of the road, all three of them scrambling out as cars honked at them. They slammed the doors shut, trapping the tiger inside.
"Oh, my god!" Hiccup gasped in horror.
"Oh, fuck!" Eugene shouted. "Hic, Hic, it got me! Hic!" He cried out, holding onto his shoulder in pain.
Hiccup touched Eugene's shoulder, his hands trembling in fear. "You got clawed! You're bleeding!" He shouted.
"Fuck." Eugene cursed, seeing the blood pooling on his shoulder.
Inside the car, the tiger growled and started biting on the headrests.
"Oh, God." Hiccup gasped, his jaw low and his green eyes wide.
"I'm panicking!" Kristoff shouted, his brown eyes huge. His dad was going to kill him.
The tiger kicked out a window, shattering the glass.
They all screamed and jumped back in fear, afraid of the cars zooming past them and the tiger locked inside their only ride. "Oh, my god!" Eugene shouted, backing away as Kristoff held onto him. "Okay, okay, okay. Wait, hold on."
The tiger poked it's head out the window, growling at them.
They were so fucked.

Slowly, they pushed the car just outside of Naveen's house. Eugene and Hiccup were at the back while Kristoff steered the car. A low growl came from the tiger in the back seat, making Kristoff jump back. "I can't do it." He whispered, fear on his face.
"Get your fucking hand back in there and steer the car." Eugene softly shouted.
"I'm too nervous." Kristoff said, slightly jumping.
"Kristoff, we need you, buddy." Hiccup joined in. "This is your time to shine, okay?"
"Okay, yeah." Kristoff nodded, building up his confidence. "Whew." He sighed, grabbing the wheel again. "Daddy's gonna kill me." He said, speaking his thoughts.
"That's good." Eugene encouraged, talking about how Kristoff was steering the car.
"That's it." Hiccup agreed. "Keep it straight."

"You're late." The body guard said, opening the front door.
"Whatever, man. We had to push it the last mile." Eugene slightly panted, shaking his head. Sweat was dripping off of the guys from fear and pushing the car.
"Come on in. Naveen's got something he wants to show you." The body guard said, opening the door wider.
The three men walked in, looking out of place with the clean white walls and polished marble staircases. The tiger growled in the background, getting Eugene's attention. "That thing's out of control, man." He said, pointing over his shoulder. "Seriously, you gotta put it down."

"When we got back, we took a look at the security cameras." Naveen said, him and the three men seated on a nice, soft couch facing a huge flat screen.
"Great." Eugene nodded, looking back at the body guard. He stared forward, flicking on the screen.
"This is how you walk. This is how you walk." Eugene said on the tv, slowly walking through the yard. Hiccup laughed in the background following them while Kristoff was holding up Jack, who could hardly walk.
"Oh, it's Jack." Hiccup smiled.
"Oh, thank god he's alive." Eugene sighed, leaning back into the couch. A huge weight had just been lifted off their shoulders. They felt like they could breathe again.
"That's our buddy. That's who we've been missing." Hiccup explained, looking at Naveen.
"We're all best friends." Kristoff added on as Eugene and Hiccup lightly laughed knowing that Jack was okay. Thank god the tiger didn't eat him.
"Why don't you just pay attention? I don't have all night." Naveen said, his eyes locked on the TV.
"Yeah. Of course. Of course." Eugene said, sitting up and rubbing his hands on his jeans. Naveen was right, they had to pay attention.
On the screen, the four men wobbly stood around a pool. "Hey, guys. Check it out. Watch this." Kristoff drunkly laughed on the screen.
Kristoff laughed, looking at himself. "That's me, I'm on TV. I've never been on TV before."
"What are you doing, man?" Jack laughed on screen, watching Kristoff pull down his pants. He started urinating in the pool with a huge grin on his face.
"Really? Really, Kristoff?" Eugene asked, leaning over Naveen and looking at the bruised blonde.
"You got a fire hose, man?" Jack asked as everyone on screen laughed.
"I was, uh--" Kristoff stuttered, looking at Naveen. His left eye was still throbbing from Naveen's punch earlier.
"You're gonna overflow the pool, man." Hiccup laughed on the screen.
Everyone else in the room was silent, watching to see what Kristoff was going to do to make the situation better.
"Maybe-- Should I wait outside?" Kristoff asked, looking at Naveen.
"I think that's a good idea, Kristoff." Naveen nodded. Kristoff quickly stood up and walked out of the room. He really didn't want another punch from Naveen.
"And don't touch anything out there, either." The body guard said, watching Kristoff leave the room.
"You know what? He's diff-- He's not our good fri-- We don't know him that well." Hiccup stuttered, trying to make it better for themselves. Maybe if they didn't associate with Kristoff then Naveen would go easier on them.
"Come on. Come on." Eugene said on screen, leading the tiger to the car. The four of them were still together, which was a good sign.
"By the way, where did you get that cop car from?" Naveen asked, watching the screen.
"We, uh, stole it from these dumbass cops." Hiccup said, slightly smiling.
"Nice." Naveen grinned, making everyone laugh. "High five that one." He said, holding up his hand to Hiccup then Eugene.
On the screen, it showed the four of them putting the tiger in the back.
"You know, I just have to say I have never seen a more beautiful, elegant, just regal creature." Eugene praised, looking at Naveen.
"Check it out. Hic. Hic. Fuck this tiger." Eugene shouted as he put the tiger in the back. He then proceeded to pretend to hump the tiger from behind. Everyone on the screen laughed, watching the scene.
"Oh, my god. That's awful." Hiccup said, watching the screen in horror.
"Oh, man." Naveen sighed, his jaw wide open. He looked over, glaring at Eugene. "Who does shit like that, man?"
"Someone who has a lot of issues, obviously." Eugene stuttered, embarrassed of himself. "I'm a sick man." He added as Kristoff threw up on the cop car.
"Oh, my god." Jack laughed as Hiccup fell to the ground holding his stomach in laughter.
The screen turned off.
"That's all we got." The body guard said.
"This was hugely helpful. Really. Because now we know that our buddy Jack was with us at 3:30, totally alive." Hiccup explained, glancing at Eugene.
"Thanks again, champ. And, uh, again, we are so sorry we stole your tiger." Eugene added. He really hoped that Naveen wasn't too mad. He really didn't want to be on that guy's bad side.
"Man, don't worry about it, man." Naveen said, shaking his head. "Like you said, we all do dumb shit when we're fucked up."
Eugene and Hiccup laughed as Kristoff paced outside of the door.
"I told you he'd get it." Hiccup smiled, his missing tooth showing as he lightly hit Naveen's leg.
"I did say that." Eugene laughed, glad that Naveen remembered what he said back at the hotel. They were also glad that they knew Jack was totally alive and fine at 3:30 with them.
