Well, then...
This may or may not have actually happened(Some of it actually did happen)...
On one sunny summer day two girls, Brianna and Emily, were in the back seat of Cathy's, Brianna's mother's, car which Cathy was driving. They were on one of the many backroads all day, traveling to a relative's house. The two girls were chatting away while singing when the radio played a song they knew or loved. Their good time, was ruined when Cathy swerved the car suddenly trying to avoid a pot hole. They were now traveling on a dirt road going through the woods. None of the three knew what this road was called, nor how they had got on it. Cathy was stumped, not knowing when she had made a turn onto a dirt road. The girls thought about it and just suggested that she kept driving and find out where the road led to. Which was a mistake. Being on a dirt road traveling through the woods while the sun was slowly settling, shining and barely on the tops of the trees. Soon after a couple hours, the girls and Cathy drew weary. Fog was setting in and the sun was still shining through the trees, though not at the tops anymore, they were shining past the tree's trunks. Scared, the girls started paying attention to what was outside, looking at the trees passing and the leaves that accompanied them. One tree in particular had markings on them, scratch markings. While the car passed that tree, the girls took that time to study the marked tree, passing it on as a wild animal's mark. After about 8 minutes, they saw that same tree. Worried, they both told Cathy what they had seen. Cathy only brushed it off as the kid's imagination but, soon changed her mind when more odd things started to happen. The car grew colder, like that of a winter breeze, windows fogging up. Suddenly, slamming on the breaks, the two girls in the back flung and hit their heads onto the seats in front on them. Cathy, sat in the driver's seat starring wide-eyed at a young woman standing in front of their car. The girls groaned in pain, Cathy looked back at them to make sure they were alright. Satisfied that they only hit their heads and no severe damage was done to the girls she turned her head back to the road. The woman wasn't there anymore. No traces of her were found, until Cathy and the girls heard a loud 'THUNK!'. All heads snapped to the passenger's window where the sound came from. Fear and anxiety flooded through each of them. There in the window, was the woman's face, tattered, shredded, and ripped like a bear had attacked her. A bloody hand printed onto the window. Next thing they knew, she was gone. Bloody hand print still on the window. Inside the car it was returned to the right temperature. Snapping out of it, Cathy slammed on the gas pedal and sped off, anxious to get away from that part of the road. It didn't take long for them to reach the end of the road, about 20 or so minutes. Once they reached the end they were shocked, they were at a completely different place of which they were planning to go. Cathy knew where they now were but, they were about 18 or so miles away from their original destination. A big city lighting up the night sky. Driving to a nearby gas station, they bought gas, and cleaned the bloodied window before any suspicious looks were given their way. After that they continued on their way to their relative's house, on an entirely different road and direction from the dirt road. When they reached their desired destination without any trouble this time, they had told everyone of what had happened.
