Party Games

The circle order ended up being Maka on my right, Tsubaki next to Maka, Black Star next to Tsubaki, Patty next to Black Star, Liz next to Patty, Crona next to Liz, Soul next to Crona, and me next to Soul. We started to play the game Soul had suggested, and Soul volunteered to as first.

"If you had to be trapped in a haunted house with only one person here, and it can't be me, who would be with?" Soul whispered in my ear, and I thought for a moment.

I would have picked Liz and Patty so I could have my weapons, but I could only have one, so that would ruin the symmetry.

I would have picked Soul, but he just said I couldn't pick him.

Tsubaki seemed a bit too quiet to me, and honestly if we got attacked there was no way I could have fought with her.

Crona was pretty strong, and Ragnurok was technically a part of him, so if anything had happened Crona could help fight anything off. But his bangs were so asymmetrical that it would but me to no end.

Black Star was strong enough to help with any fight, even without Tsubaki, but he was obnoxious, and also very asymmetrical.

That left Maka. Her and I seemed to get along pretty well, her symmetry wouldn't bug me, and she was strong enough to fight without Soul.

"I guess I'd have to go with Maka." I said, and Maka's head twisted to look at me.

"Okay, let's flip a flip flop!" Black Star said, and took a random sandal that I guess he found on the ground, and flipped it. It landed facing downwards, so the question remained unsaid, which left Maka looking a little mad.

I turned to Maka and whispered "If you could have the ghost of one of us haunting you for the rest of your life, whose ghost would it be?"

Maka thought for a long time about the question, and answered, "I guess Tsubaki, since she'd be the least annoying about it."

Black Star flipped the flip flop again, and it landed facing downward, so my question remained untold to everyone else. Maka turned to Tsubaki and whispered into her ear while the rest of us waited quietly, trying to hear what the question was, and failing to do that.

"Black Star." Tsubaki said with a bit of a pause.

Black Star flipped the shoe and it faced downward again. Tsubaki turned to Black Star and whispered into his ear, then he took almost no time to think about his answer. "Soul and Kid, Maka and Crona, Liz and Patty, and then you and me." He answered, which kind of gave everyone a confused face. He flipped the shoe and it landed up. "The question was if you had to group everyone here into groups of two, who would you group everyone with." He explained, then turned to Patty and whispered into her ear.

"But I don't think of anyone here that way!" Patty yelled.

"Well if you were to think of anyone that way who do you think you would?" Black Star asked.

"Ugggh fine I guess I'd have to go with..." Patty started and paused for about 30 seconds, thinking it out. "You." she told him, blushing a bit.

Black Star looked a bit weirded out as he flipped the shoe, which faced downwards again, which nobody cared because we all figured out the question anyways.

Patty turned to Liz and whispered in her ear, and Liz looked like she was giving it some serious thought. Then she started looking between Soul and I, and then simply said "Soul."

The shoe was flipped, and it faced downwards like usual.

"Somebody else flip the shoe. It never lands up with Black Star!" I said.

"Whatever." Black Star said, handing the sandal to Tsubaki. "Your just mad because you want to know what the question was since the answer was between you and Soul."

"This games more fun if the shoe actually lands up more than it lands down!" I said, and everyone turned towards Maka and Liz, since while I was yelling at Black Star, Liz had already asked Maka her question.

"That's easy. Soul." Maka said, and I stopped yelling at Black Star, and everyone looked towards Maka.

"Okay, who's flipping the shoe?" Soul asked.

"How about whoever asks the question flips the shoe?" Patty said.

"Good idea." I said. "Take the flip flop Liz."

Liz flipped the flip flop and it landed up.

"Okay, the question was," Maka started, "who do you think is the smallest down there."

"Hey how would you know?!? And how was that answer easy for you?" Soul raised his voice and everyone else, including me, laughed.

"Even your boyfriend is laughing at that!" Liz said. "It kind of helps prove the point."

"I'm just laughing because it's funny, not because it's true. Even if it is I wouldn't know." I said.

"Oh right. You would have to see Black Stars too to know." Patty pointed out.

"Th-thats not what I meant." I said, and I could feel myself blushing a bit. "I meant Soul and I haven't done anything like that!"

"Oh but you have in Souls dreams." Maka chuckled.

"MAKA WHY WOULD YOU TELL ANYBODY THAT?!?" Soul yelled. "I THOUGHT I SAID ON THE WAY TO SCHOOL TO NEVER MENTION IT!" Soul was as red as, if not even more red than his eyes.

"Wait you had a sex dream about me?" I asked.

"Okay, time for the next game!" Black Star said, coming in from the other room, that being the first time I realized he even left the room.

"When did you get up to leave the room?" Liz asked.

"I just went to the bathroom, jeez." Black Star said.

"Yeah, but I didn't even notice you were gone. Like, you were here a minute ago." Liz said.

"I think we all got distracted by what Maka said." I pointed out.

"Yeah, well anyways, next game is seven minutes in heaven!" Black Star said.

"Uhhh I don't think I'm exactly comfortable playing that." Maka replied to Black Stars suggestion.

"Okay, well you can sit out on it then." Black Star told her. "Anyone else want to sit out?"

"I think I'll sit out on this one too." Liz said, which kind of surprised me.

"Okay, I guess that leaves Soul, Kid, Crona, Patty, Tsubaki, and I." Black Star said.

"I think we all know the two boys who are getting paired together." Patty giggled.

"How about in stead of playing it like normal, we try to find the most secluded room, and at the end of the seven minutes, Maka and Liz have to search for us!" Black Star suggested.

"No way am I going to go look for you brats!" Liz said, and Black Star seemed to ignore her.

"Okay, it's settled then. Now we just have to decide who gets to be paired up with who." Black Star said.

"I guess Kid and I can just go our room, then." Soul said.

"Oh come on at least give the rest of us time to be paired off." Patty said.

"Okay, Crona and I will write our names and Patty will draw one of our names." Black Star said.

Patty ended up drawing Black Stars name, and everyone went off to search for a room in the house, even though Liz and Maka didn't agree to look for us.

I led Soul to the room I knew was harder to find than any other. It was a room where the door blended in with the wall, so unless you paid too much attention to the wall, you wouldn't notice it. Unless your me, of course. I used to come in that room all the time so my mom wouldn't find me and beat me every time I couldn't do a spell she tried to teach me, which was every single time, since I couldn't exactly do any magic stuff other than use my shinigami powers, much less my mom's kind of powers. The mumbling earlier, it wasn't mumbling, she was singing softly. She manages to use singing to to cast whatever she wants, but I couldn't exactly do that.

When I led Soul here, I wasn't thinking about what normal people would think about when they think of secluded areas, and seven minutes in heaven. I wasn't thinking sex, I just thought a little alone time with Soul would be nice, since this would be our first chance to be alone since we got together.

"Doesn't you think this is a little too secluded?" Soul asked.

"I know Maka will at least find us, easily." I replied. "Besides, it's not like I want to do anything sex related, not yet, anyway."

"I'm okay with that." Soul said. "It's not like I'm pushing you to have sex with me."

Time skip

After around 20 minutes, everyone was back to the room we started out in. Eventually everyone but me was asleep, and I looked at how peaceful Soul looked while he slept.

It took me a while to fall asleep, but I did, and the next morning, we all left for Death City. It was a fun party, and I felt a bit relieved afterwards, though I don't know why. Maybe it was because I didn't have to keep my biggest secret from my friends anymore.

The only thing I had left to do was to actually tell my dad I was gay, which seems like it might be a tad bit easier now, and I don't even know why.

I just knew I wanted to be with Soul, and I didn't want to keep it a secret anymore.
