"How did you know I was coming?" Serena asked.

"Garnet told us." Said Steven.

"Yeah... But-" Serena stopped, "Just nevermind..."

"Ready?" Asked Connie.

"I guess..." Serena mumbled.

Steven warped Garnet, Amethyst, Connie, and Serena to the place where Pearl taught them to swordfight.

When they were there, Serena fell on her butt on the warp pad. It was the first time she'd Warped anywhere.

"This was the place your mother taught me to swordfight!" Connie explained.

"Really?" Serena asked.

"Yep."

"Cool."

"Now I'll teach you."

"..."

Connie handed Serena a sword, and started to give her instructions.

"Widen your stance!" Connie instructed. "Lower your body!" "Focus!" "Eye contact!" "You're zoning out again!" "Serena! Listen!" "Serena!" "Follow my lead!" "Copy that!"

Serena was quite dizzy by all of the instructions, but was starting to get the hang of it.

"Serena!" Yelled Connie, "Watch out! I could've stabbed you!"

"I know." Serena murmured, "Pay attention... Lower my stance... Eye contact..."

"If you know... Then do it!" Ordered her sensei.

"Yes ma'am..." Mumbled the teenager.

As the day went on, Serena was learning a bit more than she expected. At sunset, it was time for the lesson to stop for the day.

They warped back, and everyone was so proud of Serena.

"Good job!" Said Steven.

"Awesome, gurl!" Amethyst Hollered out.

"You did well..." Garnet said quietly.

"Would you like another lesson next week?" Asked Connie.

"I guess." Serena decided.

She walked back to the barn quietly when a voice said "Hey Serena.".

The teen looked up to see Greg.

"Hey." She responded casually.

"How have you been lately?" Greg asked.

"Fine, I guess."

"Any luck on finding a job?"

"Not quite yet."

"Anything new?"

"I got a swordfighting lesson today, and my body hurts."

"Did you get stabbed?!"

"I got yelled at for not paying attention though..."

"Wow... Who was your instructor?"

"Steven's fiance."

"She's good..."

"I need to go now... They're waiting for me at the barn."

"See you another time, Serena!"

"You too!"

I soon arrived, and was welcomed by a smiling Peridot and Lapis.

"Hi Serena!" Yelled Peridot, running up to her.

"Hey.... Peri... Dot." Serena said, in between breaths.

"Did you swordfight?!"

"Yep..."

"Hey Serena." Said Lapis.

"Hi Lapis." The teenager replied.

"How was it?"

"Okay... I guess... They encouraged me to come back next week."
