T W E N T Y S I X - For Hermione

By the time Harry, Ron, Ginny and Draco made it to Sherwood forest, they were exhausted.  Flying four hours to get far away from Hogwarts and then apparating to where they needed to be took a lot of energy.  So, once they had arrived safely and Harry and Ron had put up protective charms (that they learned from Hermione during their Horcrux hunting time), they all layed down and questioned existence for a bit.

"I wish Hermione was here," Ron said aloud.

"If Hermione was here, we wouldn't have to be here at all," Draco replied somberly.

"Yea.  We're here for Hermione.  We've got to make a plan.  We have two days to do this and all we're doing is lying on the ground and thinking," Harry said.

"Well what do you propose we do then, Harry?"  Ginny said.

"Izzy told us that we need to find a cabin in this forest.  And she said its on a cliff, so we've got to go to the cliffs."

Draco rolled his eyes.  "Huh, you don't say."

"Well if you're so smart, you come up with a plan," Harry said, exasperated.

"As Mr. Obvious here so keenly pointed out," Draco began, rolling his eyes again, "we've got to get to the cliffs.  We should fly in groups of two and scope it out, using revealing spells.  Once we find it, we camp for the night near it, because we're no use to Hermione if we're exhausted.  If you find it, send a Patronus to the other group."

Ginny looked at Draco, then the other boys, then back at Draco before speaking.  "I think it would be more efficient if we just went individually to find the cabin-"

"No.  It's much safer to find it in pairs because we can protect each other.  Plus, if one person goes missing we have to spend time to find them which decreases our chances of saving Hermione.  We have to fly in pairs."

Ginny narrowed her eyes at him, sensing there was more he wasn't saying, but she dropped it, at least for the moment.  "Fine.  Then I want to be paired with Draco."

There was a moment of confusion at Ginny Weasley voluntarily paired herself with Draco.

"Really, Weaslette?  You, a Gryffindor-" Draco has to stop himself from saying traitor, "-wants to be paired with me, a Slytherin?  Am I dreaming?" He dramatically pinches himself and feigned dread when it wasn't a dream.

Ginny rolled her eyes for about the fourth time today and said, "Yes, I want to be paired with you.  Don't act so surprised, I don't want to be with my brother and I'm certain he doesn't want to be with you.  It's not like I'm into this idea all that much."

"Alright, now we've got a plan.  We'll fly over the cliffs in pairs.  Good luck everyone." Harry looked up at the sky with dread in his eyes.  It was going to be a rough couple of days.  So many problems and so few solutions.

After a few moments, the solemn blanket of dread cleared a bit.  Ginny spoke, her hand outstretched.

"For Hermione."

"For Hermione," Ron and Harry repeated, putting their hands on top of Ginny's in the middle.  They all turned to look at Draco, who was raising his eyebrows at them, as if they were honestly expecting him to do this.  Ginny raised one eyebrow like this was a test to see how much he truly loved Hermione, so he hardened his expression and put his hand on top of theirs, speaking solemnly.

"For Hermione."
