Mayson stayed for hours with his beloved Artemis in his arms, lulled by her smell and taste. In the faint light of the small lamp on the bedside table, he could make out several scars on the arm that Artemis had gently laid on his chest.

In the silence of that night he could clearly hear the large front door creak. After a few minutes, Caleb entered through the connecting door between their two rooms.

All the time he had been outside, he had been worried about Artemis. After what he had learned from Brady, his concern grew. He was surprised to find her sleeping peacefully in the arms of his twin, and the smell in the room was so intense that it stunned him, leaving no doubt as to what had happened in his absence.

You waste no time, I see. He spoke to Mayson through the mind link so as not to wake Artemis.

Jealous? Mayson grinned.

How is she? He approached slowly.

Stressed and confused by everything that was happening. I made her relax.

Caleb took off his jeans jacket and shoes. He lay down on the other side, next to Artemis.

Tomorrow we will leave and she will leave everything behind. Caleb said.

Mayson had not doubted for a second that his brothers would be able to convince Brady to sign. Caleb turned on his side and moved close to Artemis, spooning against her back. Mayson looked at him in surprise.

Tara confirmed what Artemis had said. Brady tried to run off with Artemis the night of the witches' attack. He was going to sell her to the Vancouver pack. Caleb said.

Was the bastard trying to sell her to the Canadians? Mayson gritted his teeth.

He also said she was just a bargaining chip, nothing more. Our father believes that the promises he told us he made to Lance Rufus never existed. Caleb sighed, putting an arm on Artemis' hip.

Mayson tried to reply through the mind link, but his brother had shut it down, not wanting to give him access to his thoughts at that moment. Mayson noticed his darkened eyes and the way he was sniffing Artemis and understood his twin's thoughts perfectly as well.

"Are we going to let that scumbag control the territory?" Mayson said in a low voice.

"Not for long."

"I should find him and rip his legs and arms off." He almost screamed.

"He's in bad shape. Jared didn't take his betrayal well."

Mayson pulled away from Artemis. The sudden absence of Mayson's warmth and the commotion in the room woke Artemis. She felt arms squeezing her from behind.

"Go back to sleep. We'll leave early tomorrow," Caleb told her. Artemis gently caressed Caleb's arm on her hip.

"Where are you going?" she asked Mayson, seeing him put on his leather jacket.

"To kill Brady," Mayson answered.

"I have to kill Brady!" She said, rising to her seat. The movement caused her sheet to slide down, exposing her breasts.

Caleb burst out laughing.

"What are you laughing at?" She looked at him incredulously.

"I'll be back soon, baby. Caleb will stay with you."

"No!" She shouted.

"You have Artemis here, in your bed. Do you really want to spend the night with Brady?" Caleb said to his twin.

"Mayson stay with me, please." Artemis understood Caleb's attempt to stop his brother. She wanted Pete dead too, but she did not want his blood on Mayson's hands.

We will take his head off, her she-wolf whispered in her mind. Mayson sighed angrily.

"The deal is done, brother. Now let's think about her." Caleb said, grabbing Artemis by the shoulders and pulling her to him, forcing her to lie down.

"What are you doing?" Artemis said, swallowing nervously.

Caleb pulled the sheet away completely, leaving her totally naked. Mayson cast a look of understanding at his brother and stripped naked. The urge to be with his mate became stronger than the urge to kill Brady.

Caleb, on the other hand, knew his twin well, knew how instinctive he was and how powerful the matebond was. He had always been the most in control of his instincts and reflective, but now he could only hear his wolf telling him to mark Artemis.

"What have you done, Artemis? You gave Mayson a taste of you. The scent in this room is unbearable." Caleb whispered in her ear.

Artemis blushed and was grateful that her back was turned, and she could not show it to Caleb. "I thought you liked my scent."

Caleb chuckled. "Yes, I do. You have two mates. Does that seem right what you did?" he stroked a scar on her arm.

"Do you want a taste, brother? I didn't think you would give in so soon," Mayson said, lying down next to Artemis, "I assure you it's delicious."

Artemis ran her eyes down Mayson's body. Her eyes stopped on his already erect member. She felt the desire grow inside her, her she-wolf purred.

"We're lucky Caleb is here to help us. I don't know if I can control myself," Mayson said.

"Who's asking you to?" She said, looking at him languidly. The twins laughed.

The loud growl that came from Mayson shook Artemis. She looked at him, his eyes were completely black, a golden circle around the iris. His breathing was panting.

"Be good, Artemis," Caleb whispered, pulling her away and placing her back in the middle of the bed.

He grabbed her hands and pinned them, taking them above her head, turned her onto her side. He could keep her pinned with one hand. Artemis tried to free herself. Stupid werewolf strength, she thought. "Let go of me," she told him.

"You just have to be still, honey." Caleb said, slipping his other hand between her thighs and gently penetrating her with a finger. She was very wet, so he added a second finger. She gasped excitedly. The twins growled aroused in unison.

"Take it easy brother, she is still a virgin," Mayson said with a hoarse voice.

Mayson searched for her clit. He began to stimulate her with circular motions. Artemis began to pant louder and let out little cries.

"Artemis, you don't know what it means to mark a mate. It's something to be done with caution. He's not himself and I don't think you are either."

"Why? I'm your mate, aren't I? What's the point of waiting?" She said.

"It's not that simple," Caleb told her, and turning to his twin, exclaimed: "You need fresh air!"

Mayson growled and did not move.

"I want to make love to you," Artemis said.

With a very quick gesture, Mayson pushed Caleb violently, knocking him off the bed, and jumped on top of Artemis. He kissed her roughly and hard. Artemis spread her legs as wide as possible to give him easy access to her intimacy. Mayson did not separate his mouth from hers; she felt his throbbing member press against her entrance. Mayson growled, Artemis' she-wolf responded.

Caleb grabbed his brother from under his shoulders and threw him violently against the wall.

Alpha Jared burst into the room, alarmed by the chaos. He took a quick glance at the scene and, without understanding what was happening, used his Alpha authority to resolve the situation. "Enough! Come to your senses, both of you!"

Artemis quickly covered herself with the sheet and saw Mayson tremble at Alpha's voice and fall to his knees.

"For the sake of the Moon Goddess, get dressed and get out of here," Jared said to Artemis.
