Chapter 18

"Acidum desolati," Barbara said while casting her acid spell.

     Raven dodged Barbara's spell with easily. Barbara started stepping back.

"Barbara, get down!" Shouted Victoria while throwing one of her swords at Raven.

     The sword stabs Raven in the chest and Victoria runs and jumps towards Raven.

"Taste this!" Shouted Victoria while holding her sword.

"Niger ignis II" said Raven while casting his dark spell.

     Victoria evades Raven's spell and cuts off his head.

"That's easy" said Victoria while smiling.

     Suddenly from behind, Raven stabs Victoria with his dagger.

"It's just a clone, you dumbass" said Raven while smiling.

"NO!" Shouted Barbara in shock.

     Barbara then cast her greatest magic.

"Unlea–!" Shouted Barbara.

     Raven quickly stabs Barbara. She slowly started to fall and her body started to crumble.

"C'mon, fight me!" Said Raven while laughing.

     Raven then opens a portal and returns to his base.

"You're still too young to die, Victoria," said Barbara breathlessly.

     Barbara then walked towards Victoria while gathering her magic.

"Vita translatio" said Barbara as she transferred her life to Victoria.

     Victoria slowly opened her eyes.

"Barbara, don't do this" said Victoria in a very weak condition.

"Don't worry, you deserve this" said Barbara while smiling.

     A few moments later.

"Victoria!" Shouted Tyler as he ran toward Victoria.

"What have I done!" Alvaro shouted regretfully while looking at his sister.

"NO! Barbara!" Kyle shouted in shock.

     Kyle then held Barbara's head.

"Please, don't leave me" Kyle said while hugging Barbara.

     Bryce walked towards Kyle and gave him a hug. Victoria then woke up.

"I'm so sorry" said Alvaro while hugging Victoria.

     Victoria then walked towards Barbara.

"She gave her life for me" said Victoria while looking at Kyle.

"They will pay for what they did" Abraham said angrily.

"For Barbara," Jasper said.

"For Barbara" José said.

     They then one by one said the same thing. Clay then approached them.

“Alvaro, they took the ring.” Clay said breathlessly.

     Jemma then walked over to Clay and calmed him down.

"What ring?" Asked Lucius in confusion.

"Brother, you better tell them the truth" said Victoria while convincing Alvaro.

"I'm sorry I lied to you. From the beginning, the second object was in my base" said Alvaro while looking at them.

"You could've told us!" Shouted Lucius while looking at Alvaro.

"I'm sorry, okay. The ring is the legacy of the vampire race, I can't tell anyone except my people" said Alvaro.

"But if you tell us, the ring will be safe with us!" Shouted Lucius angrily.

"What? Can you even stop Raven? I bet you can't!" Alvaro shouted while looking at Lucius.

"Enough! Barbara just died! So shut the fuck up!" Shouted José.

"Hey, James and the others were injured because of them" Clay said while looking at Jemma.

"Then, how could you still be just fine?" Jemma asked in confusion.

"I ordered the vampires who aren't fighters to lock themselves in a room, while I ordered the fighters to guard the ring" said Victoria while explaining.

"So, there are still many vampires that still alive?" Asked Tyler.

"Yeah, we're lucky to be alive" Clay said.

     They then entered the base to check on the injured vampires.

"Abraham, I'm sorry I didn't tell you this" Alvaro said while looking at Abraham.

     Abraham ignores Alvaro and enters the base. Kyle, Bryce and Jasper go to the area behind the base to bury Barbara and also Kim's body.

     Not long after at the vampires' base.

"James was stabbed very deeply, but he's lucky he was not stabbed in the area near his heart or else it'll get worse. I think I can heal him" said Abraham while looking at Victoria.

"Lucius, can you heal the others?" Asked Victoria while looking at Lucius.

"Yeah, I can but I think I need Jasper's help for this" Lucius replied.

"Victoria, what happened to your nails?" Jemma asked in confusion.

     Victoria was shocked to see her nails turned black and then her nose was started bleeding.

"Are you okay?" Asked Tyler in confusion.

"I'm fine, just call Jasper to help Lucius" replied Victoria.

     Victoria then lost her balance and fell. Tyler quickly grabbed Victoria.

"Lucius, help her" Tyler said worriedly.

"José, go call Jasper" said Lucius while looking at José.

     Lucius then checked Victoria's condition and he was confused.

“It's weird, it's like the same curse as Barbara” said Lucius in confusion.

"What kind of curse is that?" Asked Tyler worriedly.

"Curses like this usually only exist in female warlocks who are cursed to be witches. So I'm confused why this curse exists in Victoria's body" said Lucius in confusion.

"Are you sure?" Asked Abraham in confusion.

"Yeah, very sure" Lucius replied while looking at Abraham.

     Meanwhile at the area behind the base.

"Thanks for everything, you've raised me until now. You're like my own mother, Barbara" said Kyle while looking at Barbara's grave.

     Jasper and Bryce then put flowers on Barbara's grave.

"Barbara, I know I don't really know you yet but thank you for teaching me how to use my magic" Jasper said.

"I'm just going to say that I'm very grateful to know you, Barbara" Bryce said while smiling.

"Jasper, Lucius needs you to heal those who are injured" José said from a distance.

"Hold on a sec, is it okay if I leave you guys here?" Jasper asked.

"Yeah, go ahead" Kyle replied.

     Jasper then left them and headed to the base.

"Hey, tell me since the first time you met Barbara" Bryce said while smiling.

"Yeah, sure." Kyle replied while smiling.
