She's yours.

🍃She's yours🍃

Taking a trip to a place you don't know, with a man you don't know and tagging your daughter along in the backseat may not be one of Gypsy's brightest ideas. However, she didn't begin to question herself until they rode through the most inundating iron gates she'd ever seen in her entire life. With it large clasp of an half of a moon in between that otherwise indicated they were in Trevor's home town; Eclipse.

Yet he continued to drive when she thought it couldn't possibly go any further after the gate. Miles and miles of thick plantations surrounded them on every which side. Coffee berries, cocoa, sugar cane, tobacco, even wheat, going as far and deep as the eye could see.

She was just about to ask if there were any houses when the car began to slither down a slope and buildings jumped to view. From above, the village below was stunning in it simplicity; close knitted reddish-brownstone houses in all sizes adorned the place like a fairytale picture.

They'd travelled far to get to this place. It was completely off the radar and she realized that if she never surfaced again, no one would think to come any close to this place.

"Having second thoughts?" Trevor asked beside her.

"You could say that."

Trevor laughed. Although she couldn't see his eyes behind the sunglasses he wore, the sound of his laughter somehow managed to ease her doubts once again.

"You already broke the first basic rule." He informed her.

"Yeah, what's that?"

"Never get into a car with a stranger."

Gypsy sighed dramatically, "Okay, so maybe momma did raise a fool."

She looked over her shoulder at her own daughter. Billie had her legs tucked under her in the backseat with her nose pressed to the side windshield as she took in their surroundings.

Truthfully, Gypsy had jump on this idea because she felt her daughter could use a break from jumping one shelter house to the other. She figured they could try something new, somewhere different.

"She's really mute, huh?" Trevor commented, glancing at Billie, too. "Is it like a birth defect or something?"

"Something." Gypsy shut down immediately.

"You really don't like talking about you and your daughter, do you?"

"Personal stuff." She said, not looking at him and almost jumped when he dropped his hand on her laps to grab hers.

"I'm not going to ask you to trust me, I have to earn that." Trevor said, squeezing her hand. "But I want you to know you're safe with me. Both of you."

Gypsy's heart melted a little. This beautiful stranger was restoring her hope in humanity.

She leaned over the console to plant a kiss on his cheek, catching just the corner of his lips. His hold on her hand tightened a fraction and he turn to look at her, a wicked smirk tugging at his lips.

She hoped to god it was a promise of things to come. Cause this gorgeous as hell guy, this one, she wanted to get down and dirty with him.

A few minutes and a change in lane later, Trevor pulled into a driveway and turned off the car. They have arrived.

She eased out of the car before Trevor, who insisted on getting the door, made it to her side and he gave her a playful scowl. Billie stepped out behind Gypsy, carrying their overnight bag with her. Gypsy took the bag from her and they both instantly hook arms.

The air here seemed fresher, and sweeter. She drawled back a little to take in the building before her. It was grounded, built with the same reddish brown stone like all the other houses around but this particular one was huge and something about it beckons to her.

Trevor began to lead them towards the entrance but the door was pulled open before they got to it and out came the man.

Gypsy wasn't sure why she gasped so loudly and dropped the overnight bag she was holding. Maybe because of the striking resemblance this man bore with Trevor, it was like another Trevor walking out the door. Or because of the deep growl that tore out of his throat and made the very ground she stood on vibrate.

Trevor was before her in a flash, shielding her with his body. Blocking him from her view.

"Get out of my way."

The sound of his voice reached her ears and she felt her whole body sizzled up like bacon on heat. Trevor stayed put, she was grateful for it even though she wasn't entirely sure why. Did he want to hurt her? This couldn't be about that little phone disagreement, could it?

He growled again and an involuntary whimper escaped her lips.

Trevor jerked around to look at her at the sound, an astonished look on his face. "I'd be damned." He gasped, looking between her and the other man. "She's your...what the hell, she's yours?"

Who is...who is what?

"I said...out of my way, beta!" He spoke slowly, the deep tones of his voice hit her somewhere in the core, and she felt her knees wobble under her. She clutch to Billie like her life depended on it.

"Alright man, calm down." Trevor conceded, hesitantly stepping aside.

Without her body shield now, Gypsy immediately closed her eyes and shut it real tight until white spots danced behind her lids. It was inexplainable but she had an instinct that another look at this man and she'd be completely done for.

"Look at me."

She could tell he was standing close. She could feel every inch of him. His breath hit her in the face, and sent a delicious jolt down her spine.

Gypsy cracked one eye open. She was wrong, he hadn't moved from where he stood at all, she'd just felt him like he was standing right outside her skin. But soon he narrowed the distance between them in a matter of seconds.

He walked around her and Billie, eying them up and down like something unfit for his majesty's table.

Gypsy felt insulted, who the hell did he think he was. She gritted her teeth and met his eyes the next time he came to a stop before her. She saw the myriad of emotions that flew across his face as their eyes connected; hatred, anger, hunger, disgust.

Each one sent a direct jab to her heart, she felt the need to cower before him but she maintained eye contact. As he'd soon find out, she could be very tenacious when she wanted to be.

"Did you fvck her?" He turned partially to ask Trevor.

Gypsy was enraged, she let go of Billie as her fingers curled into fists beside her. The nerve of this damn man, saying that in front of her daughter!

"No," Trevor replied, scrubbing a hand through his face. "I wasn't going to touch her after recognizing the pull I had to her. Why do you think I brought her here? I knew she had to be mated to someone close to me, I just didn't think it'd be you."

Her eyes flew to Trevor's and her anger slipped for a moment to be replaced with betrayal. She trusted him, she thought he was helping her out of the goodness of his heart but he had a motive all along? All men do, is disappoint.

"You should fvck her." The son of a gun before her continued, like they weren't talking about her. Like she wasn't standing right there with a minor. "Take one for your troubles, because I won't."

Trevor had the decency to flinch, "Can we take this inside? Kellen, she's your mate, a little respect?"

"I have important things to tend to, and I have no interest whatsoever in this...person."

Gypsy was going to pass out. No one had ever made her feel lower than the very scum of the earth with just one word; person. His tone cut deeper than a knife, she was unsure why this guy hated her with a passion when he didn't even know her. But she'd had enough.

He stepped disturbingly closer to her and spoke again, "While you're here..."

"I'll try not to trip over the pole in your arse." The words rushed out of her mouth, catching even her by surprise since her brain functions had been stuck on setting eyes on him.

"Funny," Kellen scoffed, "I was just about to give you my word that you won't be doing any tripping. I'll have someone watching all your steps for you, little darling. You don't breathe without my knowing."

His eyes burned with unconcealed hatred now as he added. "You hurt a single strand of hair on Billie's head or anyone in my pack and it'd be the last thing you ever did. I'll make sure of it. Got that?"

Gypsy stared at him in confusion. This man was insane, she was convinced of that fact. "You lost me at 'hurt a strand of hair on Billie's head'."

"That's her daughter Kellen, why would you think...?"

"Daughter?" Kellen laughed sardonically. "Is that what she told you? Oh Trev, this person won't know the first thing about giving life to anything. You have no idea the danger you've brought home with you."

"What, all 5ft10 of her?" Trevor snorted. "Yeah bro, I'm quaking in my boots."

Kellen continued to search her eyes. "I know you." He whispered close to her ear, "I know what you've done and I'll see to it that you pay in full." He said and walked away just like that.

Gypsy stared after him, watched him get in a car and reversed out of the premises with a powerful maneuver.

"Do not take any of that personal," Trevor huffed, collecting their bag from the floor and dusting it off. "He's got a lot on his plate right now, and obviously not thinking straight. Trust me, finding one's mate is a joyous thing."

"Trust you?" Gypsy spat the words with all the betrayal and anger she felt. "You sure were thinking straight when you manipulated me to think you were helping me!"

Trevor grimaced. "I didn't have enough time to explain, and I still don't. Gypsy, I have to get to the hospital now, my niece is sick. I'll show you to your room, and have someone take care of you while I'm gone. I promise I'll make this up to you." He dropped a hand on her shoulder and stirred her and Billie towards the entrance.

"What I told you in the car was true, you and Billie are safe here. And I promise, my cousin will come around. He's..."

"Please don't say he's a good guy." Gypsy whined, nothing about that guy was good. He was downright awful.

Trevor gave her a tiny smile, "No, he's not a good guy. Kellen is the best guy."
