part six : real life

Willow met up with Dustin and Mike outside of Hawkins High. They took her to the room where Hellfire club took place and she was met with a rather eerie looking classroom. At a table covered in D and D stuff sat Eddie and his friends.

"This is who you got as a replacement for Sinclair?" Eddie asked.

"You asked for a replacement and this is who you got. Willow knows the basics and she's the only person that agreed to come," Dustin answered.

Eddie got up from his seat and walked up to Willow. Standing right in front of her, trying to intimidate her, he asked,

"What's your class and level?"

"Wizard, level two," Willow answered calmly.

"Level two?"

"I've only played like once."

"And why did you agree to come here tonight?"

"Because Dustin is my friend and he needed help."

Eddie looked intensely in Willow's eyes, almost like he was searching for a lie within them. Willow stared back, showing she was serious. Eddie took a step back before saying,

"Welcome to Hellfire."

They played an intense game. Which thanks to Dustin and Mike's help, Willow was able to catch on quickly. Eddie threw obstacle after obstacle at the group, which they were able to fight off.

Finally, Lord Vecna only had 15 hit points left. However, the only players left were Dustin and Willow. It was Dustin's turn and he only rolled an 11, which meant it was up to Willow

She took a deep breath and rolled the dice. Impatient eyes watched as the dice left her hands and rolled across the table, landing on a perfect 20. The entire group cheered and hugged Willow, jumping up and down in celebration. Eddie simply smiled at the group and dramatically gestured at them.

The teens left the doors of Hawkins High laughing and cheering at their victory. When the others had dissipated, Eddie turned to Willow.

"You're not half bad for a level two wizard," he said.

"You think?"

"Definitely. You should come play D and D with us more often."

"Maybe I will," she smiled.

"Can I....have your number?" Eddie asked nervously, not making eye contact.

Willow nodded and Eddie handed the girl his phone, who put her number in and handed it back to him.

"I'll see you around Lady Willow," Eddie bowed and then strolled away.

Willow smiled to herself before beginning the walk home.
