Hyun-shik POV

(1 week prior to class)

        "Hyung! Please help me! You know I'm horrible at history. I'm just know that I'm going to fail Professor Cho's class."

        "You won't fail" my cousin replied disinterested in my plight.

        "Hyung! Please! You're his teacher's assistant, can't you help me? Maybe give me some inside pointers?"

        He sighed. "Fine! My advice...." I leaned in closer "come to class late on the first day."

        "Are you crazy? I'll be made fun of if I do that!"

        "You asked my advice" he stood up.

        I grabbed his arm "Can you at least explain why I should come late on the first day of class?"

        He sat back down. "Professor Cho likes to randomly assign seats, so you aren't going to be able to sit with your friends regardless of what time you come. Your seat partner will be your partner for the year, so your stuck with whoever you get."

        "Great!"

        "When Professor Cho arrives he is going to write a bunch of topics on the board and tell you that each team will have to investigate one of them. He'll scan the room to see if anyone is alone and if there is, he will allow that person to pick first. So that person will get to pick the easiest one out of them all."

        "So how does this help me?"

        "if you come late, then you will automatically be paired with whoever is alone."

        "So...."

        "It means that if you show up after they have already picked their topic, then you will have it easy" he smiled. "Well..... At least for the first assignment."

        "Hyung you are a genius!"

        "I know" he smiled cockily. "Just remember, don't tell anyone that we are cousins! Got it?"

        "No worries!"

        "See you later!" He got up and left.

Day of class

        "Let's see" I look at my watch. "Class started about ten minutes ago, guess it's time to make my appearance." I got up and took one last sip of coffee before leaving the school cafe. Then I sprinted to the class room.

        Why??

        Well I have to at least make it look realistic.

        I ran to the door and opened it. "Sorry I'm late!" I said as I tried to catch my breath.

        "And you are?" Professor Cho asked.

        "My name is Hyun-shik. Seo Hyun-shik."

        Professor Cho looked at his roster and said "Okay, well you can take the seat next to the young lady over there." He pointed to the girl who was sitting alone. "We are in the middle of choosing topics, but she has already chosen hers. Since she is your partner for the year, she can explain it to you."

        I walked over to the desk and sat down. "Hi I'm Hyun-shik."

        "Mi-rae" she replied. Wow her voice is beautiful!

        "So, what did I miss?"

        "Well, as you know we are seat partners for the year and we will be project partners as well. Our first project is to research and investigate the cases that he listed on the board."

        I looked at the board and just like my cousin said, they were all very interesting and unique. I nodded my head and just as I was turning back to Mi-rae, I could have sworn I saw my cousin chuckling. "Okay, so what is our topic?"

        "I choose the Inchon Poison Murder and Adultery Case from 1905" she replied simply.

        Damn it! Now I know why my cousin was laughing. Out of all the people in this class, I had to get stuck with the one who would choose the hardest of all the ones on the board. "Wow" I smiled slightly. "So, what do we have to do?"

        "I told you already" she got irritated. It's cute. Maybe I should irritate her more. "We have to investigate the case."

        "But aren't they already solved?"

        "He wants us to research everything about the case including the outcome and present our findings to the class along with our own thoughts on the case."

        "Ahh" I nodded.

        "Since this case took place in Inchon, we will need to travel to the archives there to do the research."

        "What? You really want to travel all the way out to the archives in Incheon just for a research project?"

        "Well, that is where all the documents pertaining to this case are stored."

        "Oh really?"

        "Yes."

        "What makes you so sure about that?"

Sunjin/Mi-rae POV

        Geez! This guy really knows how to annoy me! What makes me so certain? How about the fact that the case is about me!?!

        I sighed "The case took place in Inchon, so it is only natural that all the documents pertaining to the case are stored in the archives in Incheon."

        "Still, we should be able to research it here" he said as though he was disinterested in the assignment.

        "Well, you can have fun doing that. I, on the other hand, will go to the archives and see my family." Class had ended, so I stood up and started walking away.

Hyun-shik POV

        She can't be serious about going to the archives in Incheon!  "Still, we should be able to research it here"

        Crap! I ran after her. Once I caught up to her, I grabbed her by the arm "Hey! Where are you going?"

        "I already told you! I'm going to Incheon!"

        "Ya! Calm down Mi-rae!" a girl called out as she approached with my friend Minwoo.

        "Hey Minwoo!" I was so glad to see him. "Who...." I pointed to the girl he was with and he smiled.

        "This is Heeyoung, my seat partner" he smiled widely

        "Mi-rae, what's gotten into you?"

Sunjin/Mi-rae POV

        Damn it! I don't usually loose myself like that, but this guy just knows how to push my buttons. I probably wouldn't have minded it so much, but I mean.....this is Myung-dae's case. How can I not feel this way when he is treating it like it was just nothing? Granted, it really does have noting to do with him, but still..... Oh maybe I'm just being too sensitive.

        "Sorry" I said.

        "Let's grab some lunch at the cafe" Heeyoung happily suggested. "We can talk about what we are going to do for the project over some food." She linked arms with me and dragged me over to the cafe.

        We sat down and the guys sat across from us. Then we looked over the menu and ordered our food. While waiting for it to arrive, Heeyoung started up the conversation.

        "So, My name is Heeyoung" she smiled sweetly. God I hate it when she acts like this! Why did they have to be somewhat good looking. "And this is my best friend Mi-rae."

        "Hello" I smiled.

Hyun-shik POV

        At least this one is easy to get along with.

        "Hi I'm Hyun-shik and it looks like you already know my friend Minwoo."

        "Now that the introductions are over, let's talk about the project." Wow, she knows how to change topic fast. "Since both of our cases are in Incheon, I think it would be a great idea to take a little vacation out to the archives in Incheon. What do you all think?"

        Damn it! She wants to go too? And here I thought she might be able to talk some reason into my partner.

        "I'm cool with it!" Minwoo said. Great! Thanks for having my back, Buddy! "I think it would be a great way to get to know each other better!" You mean get into her pants. Man that guy is a player.

        "What do you think, Hyun-shik?" Heeyoung asked me.

        I looked at my partner, but she just turned her face away. Guess I've got no choice but to go along with it. "I'm in" I sighed.

        Heeyoung squealed with excitement. "What about you, Mi-rae?"

        "Stupid question" Mi-rae replied. Great! She has an attitude.

        Heeyoung giggled. How could she possible giggle at the fact that her friend called her stupid? "So does that mean we can stay at your place?"

        Her place? What is Heeyoung talking about?

Sunjin/Mi-rae POV

        Leave it to Heeyoung to suggest the worst possible thing. I should have never told her that my family was in charge of the archives!

        "I'm not sure......"

        "Oh, come on! Where else are we going to stay?"

        Damn it! Now she is using aegyo! "Let me talk to my family first, okay?"

        "Okay!" she bubbly replied.

        I grabbed my phone and went outside. "Hey mom!"

        "Where are you? I thought you only one class this year."

        "Yeah, I'm hanging out with Heeyoung and some friends."

        "Oh, so when should we expect you?"

        "About that" I took a deep breath and began explaining the situation to her. "So, my friends want to stay at our place while we are doing the research. Is that okay?"

        "Why are you asking me? You are the one who owns the place."

        "I know" I sighed. "It's just I don't want the others to feel uncomfortable with them around."

        "I'm sure they won't mind. Besides, you know how good they are at transforming and hiding."

        I sighed more "I know...."

        "Sunjin" my mother spoke soothingly "just bring them home with you."
