Namjoon's dinner is interrupted by the sound of a loud slam of the door. He places his chopsticks at the side of his plate and his newspaper onto the table. One of the maids in the kitchen jumps and almost drops a plate. In comes V, his hair disheveled and his eyebrows knitted against each other.

"Rough day?"

V doesn't reply, and instead, he heads straight up the stairs to his room. Namjoon furrows his eyebrows in confusion, watching the latter stomp his feet with every step he takes up the stairs. One of the maids glances at him with concern, and all Namjoon could do is shrug his shoulders in reply.

"Probably a rough day," he mumbles, picking up his chopsticks and shoving one last mouthful of his dinner before dismissing himself.

He gets up from his seat and makes his way to V's room. He knocks once, twice, until he hears a soft 'come in' before he enters. He enters the dark room. He could see V's silhouette at the open balcony, the moon casting a dim light throughout his room. Namjoon hesitates to approach him, but V turns over his shoulder to flash him a sad smile.

"What's up, bud?"

V looks at Namjoon when he finally reaches his side. He tightens his grip against the railing. Namjoon looks at him intently, and it was almost as if he was taken back to the past.

He remembers the night Taehyung was brought to the hospital. He was bleeding out of his side, and his heart beat was declining at a fast rate. The nurses were rushing him to the emergency room, giving him oxygen to breathe. Namjoon remembers rushing into the room right after, and immediately performing CPR. He hears the monitor begin to beep, and Namjoon stops performing CPR and starts reviving his heartbeat.

After moments of trying to revive him, he finally comes into a stable condition. Everyone lets out a sigh of relief. Namjoon grabs his flashlight, opening Taehyung's eyelids to reveal his eyes. He turns off his flashlight and looks at his body for any bruises or trauma.

"Mina, can we conduct a few tests on him after an hour or so? He's in stable condition, but I don't think he'll wake up any sooner." Namjoon orders.

After hours had passed, Namjoon analyzes the results of Taehyung's MRI, CT scan, and even his blood count. The signs were visible and showcased one thing.

"Mina, please put him in the ICU for the rest of the night before transferring him into his own individual room. This man is in a coma."

"Okay, Dr. Kim." Mina replies. Before she leaves his office, he clears his throat. She looks over her shoulder with a questioning gaze.

"Does he have any relatives? Family member? A guardian? We have to contact them to inform them that he is in a coma."

Mina frowns at him and shakes her head in reply. "We've tried everything. We called everyone on his contact information, but no one answered. One relative of his answered, though, and it seems like..."

"Seems like, what?"

"It seems like he's been disowned from his family." Mina looks at him with dismay. "Are we still going to keep him in the hospital?"

"Of course, we are. I'll take care of him until he wakes up." Namjoon replies. "And I guess when he wakes up, we'll get our answers and we'll be able to make a decision on whether we should discharge him or not."

A couple of months have passed, and Namjoon spends most of it visiting Taehyung to do his daily check-up. Taehyung is soon to wake up, but Namjoon was more than curious to find out why he was sent to the hospital and why his family had completely disowned him.

Soon enough, on one spring day, Taehyung wakes up. The nurses rush Namjoon to his room to do one final check-up to update his file. Taehyung had looked completely disheveled, and Namjoon could never seem to erase the look of disappointment written all over his face.

Namjoon learned a lot of things about Taehyung in a couple of days. Taehyung had just gotten out of a serious relationship. The serious relationship had left him terribly broken, until the point that he was traumatized by the sudden emptiness. Taehyung was disowned from his family because he'd always lash out on them, and he had neglected his family for his girlfriend who sooner or later broke up with him.

Taehyung didn't have a lot of friends at school. He was only dependent of his girlfriend. Taehyung had confessed to him saying that he had simply gone out one night, completely unaware of his surroundings, but completely aware of the fact that the world hated him and he had to leave.

Namjoon learned that Taehyung attempted to commit suicide that night, hoping that it would be successful. But Taehyung was nothing but disappointed to realize that it was a failed attempt, and that he was still alive.

Upon finding out that Taehyung would have no place to go and that his suicidal thoughts would relapse, Namjoon took it upon himself to change his life for the better. Even if he had to risk his own job.

Namjoon found himself staying at the hospital outside office hours to rummage through the files and steal Taehyung's file. He took matters into his hands and discharged Taehyung himself, fleeing his job and from the hospital with nothing but a broken man who has to be healed.

"Hyung?"

Namjoon snaps out of his trance, looking at V. "Sorry, I was just trapped in my thoughts."

"She knows," he whispers. "She knows who I am. She knows I'm hiding."

He chuckles. "What's so wrong about that?"

"I told her that I'm in love with her, and she wouldn't believe me." He explains. "Why is it that I always fuck up? Now she hates my guts. She quit her job. She left knowing that I could possibly be her best friend who died years ago, and she's not wrong."

"It's just a matter of telling her the truth, V." Namjoon insists.

"How can I tell her the truth? Something is always tying me down from reality. Something is always tying me down from being who I want to be."

"I think I know exactly why you feel this way." V glances at him questioningly. "Shin Mijoo."

"Hyung, you know we don't speak of her anymore." V chuckles bitterly. "She ruined my life."

"And in order to make your life better, you have to get closure."

"Closure? I don't need closure."

"It's the only thing you need to be set free, V." Namjoon explains. "And the only person you need closure from is Shin Mijoo."
