It all started with a contract. 

Namjoon slides over a small folder across the table, and Taehyung stares at it momentarily. Confused, he then shifts his gaze up at Namjoon who flashes him a reassuring smile. Reaching out to the folder with shaking hands, he opens it to reveal a contract... of some sort.

"What is this?" He mumbles softly.

"You said you wanted to start a new beginning, didn't you?" Namjoon asks, and Taehyung nods his head.

Taehyung turns over his shoulder to look at his hospital bed one last time. His gaze moves towards the window, and he stares off into the distance until he feels someone grab his shoulder. It was a touch of urgency, and it breaks his gaze. He looks at Namjoon who's staring at him with slightly widened eyes.

"Taehyung-ah, we should head out now. No one is watching. The nurses are busy, I told them to focus on the second floor patients. We have to leave now before they catch us."

"O-Okay, Dr. Kim." He mumbles, completely lost. Namjoon chuckles, grabbing him by the arm as they both head down the hallway.

"Don't call me that. Call me Namjoon." 

"Okay." He whispers, following his lead. "Where are you taking me?"

Namjoon suddenly stops, and Taehyung almost bumps into his back. He turns back around to face him.

"Where do you want to go?" He questions and Taehyung stares at him confusedly. 

"What do you mean?" 

"Tell me the first place you want to go if it was the last time you'd ever visit it, as if today is your last day here on earth." Namjoon answers. 

"Take me to a new beginning."

As Taehyung flips through the contract, he stops flipping when he stops on one particular page of the package. He glances up at Namjoon with widened eyes. Right in front of him was a legal paper to change his name, his identity; him.

"Are you serious?" He whispers.

"I'm serious."

Taehyung feels himself slowly smile. New beginnings. A new life. A new... him.

"Where do I sign?" He chuckles and Namjoon softens at the sight.

"That was the first time I've seen you smile," he mumbles. "It's a beautiful sight. I hope I can see it more often."

"Well, you're definitely going to see it often now." He says softly as he grabs a pen.

First Name: Taehyung

Last Name: Kim

"So, I can change it to anything?"

"Anything." Namjoon folds his hands. "Whatever makes you happy."

Taehyung bites his lip to stop himself from smiling a bit too much. Namjoon watches him as he starts filling in the form, and his eyebrow raises at his choice of name.

"V?"

Taehyung smiles and nods his head. "Does it sound a bit ridiculous?"

"No, actually," he mumbles, "I think it suits you."

"T-Thanks," he smiles.

Once Taehyung hands over the contract with all his signatures and legal changes, Namjoon opens his drawer and pulls out another folder. Taehyung eyes the folder suspiciously before Namjoon slides it over towards him. He grabs the folder and gasps.

"I have a few connections here and there, and I decided to help you out." Namjoon begins.

"You didn't have to, Namjoon-ssi.."

"What did I say about being formal? Just call me hyung, we're brothers now."

"I feel like I owe my whole life to you," Taehyung whispers.

"You don't," he shakes his head. "When I saved your life, the moment you woke up from your coma, you looked like you didn't want to wake up. Something in me told me that I had to help you, and so I did, and I want to."

Taehyung feels his eyes water before gently placing down the folder. 

"As I was saying," he repeats again, "I submitted a few pictures of you to some of my friends who work for fashion companies and they are incredibly amazed. They think you're too photogenic and that you're a born model."

Reaching out for the folder, he opens it to reveal another contract. Gucci. 

"They got back to me just a few days ago and want to hire you as their model. Gucci wants you to be their model, Taehyung-ah," he smiles, "or should I say, V."

"I-I don't know... I think just starting a new life is enough," he shakes his head.

"Think of it as an add-on. Since you want to start a brand new beginning, why not make it extravagant? You'll start your new beginning as V, and not only that, but you'll be working for one of the most prestigious fashion company in the whole world."
