He smirks, shoving a chip into his mouth as he watches her stand right in front of him with her arms folded. You really don't give up, do you? He sighs, closing the bag of chips before raising an eyebrow at her.
"Yah, Kim Taehyung," was all it took for his heart to stop. "Drop the act."
He purses his lips into a line, clearing his throat. It was her turn to smirk. She lets her arms fall to her sides as he hesitates and searches for an answer. But there was nothing for him to say, nothing for him to tell her, for now.
"I don't know who you're talking about," he says confidently, shrugging off the thoughts that were contradicting his replies. "And what act? I know nothing about what you're talking about."
"You've got to be kidding me," she scoffs, rolling her eyes.
She watches him shove his hands into his pockets, and he begins to turn around to leave her there. She frowns as she looks at his figure get smaller and smaller down the dark alley, but she could only fall silent. She was completely speechless, until she thought of an idea.
"Well then, do you happen to know who Kim Taehyung is?" She calls out to him, and he stops in his tracks. He turns over his shoulder and looks straight at her.
"I don't know who Kim Taehyung is," he mutters, "why does it matter to you?"
She starts to follow him down the alleyway, and he begins to walk away from her with his back turned towards her. If I have to do whatever it takes for you to expose your identity, I'll do it. She tries to speed up her pace, but he was too fast that she couldn't keep up with his stride.
She finally gives up, stopping abruptly as he continues on his way. She folds her arms again.
"Because he's my best friend, and the last time I heard about him," she gulps nervously, hesitating, and it was his turn to stop walking. He turns over his shoulder one last time.
Say it. I dare you.
"Because the last time I heard about him, they said he was dead."
