Chapter 1: The Queens' Army part 3
I don't know if I'll be able to update Saturday, so here's an early update.
Also, I thought I should tell you how much I have prepared. I wrote this on Google Docs long before I had Wattpad. It's not finished yet though. I'm updating in pages because I don't think I can write a whole chapter that quickly and I want to stay ahead.
Here's how many Google Docs pages I have so far: 114.
This is page four because, in Google Docs, I have a starter page that's basically the title and blurb.
I have 110 pages to go, and counting, because this is a work in progress.
Anyway, last time I updated, Pinkie Pie learned more about her role as a 'Guardian of Harmony', and decided to bond with her teammates. If she fails, Equestria will lose their elite team, and maybe even the war. Will Pinkie Pie be able to bring this haphazard team of unknowns (well, I suppose you guys have guessed some of her teammates by now) together?
The rainbow-haired girl picks up the challenge immediately. She introduces herself as Rainbow Dash. Who would've guessed? The cowgirl introduces herself as Applejack and quickly joins in. Fancy Schmancy calls herself Rarity and hangs back a bit, but quickly thaws and joins in. The shy girl, Fluttershy, sort of melts into a puddle, but plays when I hand her a remote. The other three don't join in at first, but Starlight Glimmer (The one who had lilac skin, purple and blue hair, as well as light blue eyes) can't keep away from the fun. She grabs a remote and joins in. The other two, who Starlight calls Twilight and Sunset, retreat to their rooms with books. The blonde and crimson-haired one glaring like a dragon guarding its hoard. I sigh but smile when I hear the other five laugh over the game.
A quiet sniffling comes from nearby rooms. I sit straight up in bed. I wasn't sure how to handle this, my sisters were apathetic, laconic, and spunky. None of them ever cried. I grab a few stuffed animals, books for Twilight and Sunset, a night light, and my party cannon. Never leave my room without it.
The closest girl comes from a plain green door. I open it gently and walk inside, unsure of how to approach. Something told me that she needed a listening ear, not a party, or a bright smile.
I was very good at getting people to smile, so it made sense I knew these things, readers, so don't be surprised about me knowing these things. IT MAKES SENSE!
(Me: oops, I forgot about that part. Pinkie, why are you breaking the fourth wall?
Pinkie: Just shut up and get on with the story.
Me: Fine. *Calls a repairman* The fourth wall broke. *hangs up* Back to the story.)
The girl inside was Fluttershy, weeping with her back to me. "Hey," I whisper softly. She whimpers. I climb up with her and give her a hug. She accepts, soaking my shirt with tears. "What's wrong?"
She whispers, her words wracked with sobs making it hard to understand, "I'm all alone, I don't know these people and I'm rubbish at making friends, and what if they hate me, what if I say something wrong, two already hate me and I can't seem to speak up and I'm awful and..."
I stop her there. "You're not awful. I think you're a wonderful human being. You're so kind. Besides, you already got a friend."
She blinks up tearfully, "Who?"
"Me of course, silly!" I smile, "And I will be making a cake tomorrow, so you have something to look forward to." I pull out a teddy bear. Her eyes widen. As I nestle it in her arms, I say, "This is so that you have someone to keep you company. Now I have to go, there are other people crying. I need to help make them smile, now. It's my calling, okay?"
She nods, "ok. I'll be fine. Thank you."
She gives me a timid smile, and my heart bursts with joy. Mission accomplished. I grin back. Beaming at her for making my day. I hum a tune as I make it to the next door. It's russet-colored, and looks old and chipped. It has a simple 'Welcome to Applejack's' in rusty-colored metal words.
