Konohagakure. (It took a really long time to memorize that spelling)

I found this video and have watched it no less than four times. I will probably reference it for at least three chapters.

Kakashi widened his only visible eye marginally before he got over his shock. "A kami, huh? An immortal resident of Heaven."

Percy shrugged. "I like it down here through. Mortals are far more entertaining. The kami usually just argue and cause disasters and problems that have to be cleaned up."

"You sound like your the one on clean-up."

Percy sighed. "A hundred years, half-a-dozen quests and I still can't catch a break." He learned forward. "That's actually why I'm here."

"Oh."

"Nico, or what you call the Shinigami, sensed that the flow of nature had reversed, bringing back hundreds, your self included. We came to investigate."

"You're friends with the Shinigami?"

"Cousins actually. Our fathers are brothers. Makes for an entertaining family reunion." He looked to his left, away from the one-way window and glared. "Yes, it was too funny. Don't deny it!"

Kakashi would have thought he was crazy had a spike of killing intent not radiated from the wall.

"So, if the Shinigami is responsible for making sure the dead stay dead, why are you here?"

"To talk to you of course."

"Me in particular or humans in general?"

"Uhh, both." Percy sighed. "There are rules. One's that we cannot physically break. One of those is a non-interference law. The only exception is when the Kami in question has power over certain humans. Maidens, warriors, teachers, philosophers, mothers, fathers, family makers, inventors. They can be spoken to by their patrons."

"And you?"

"Heroes. Those who have risked their lives in the defense of another. Those who have dedicated themselves to others, those who would gladly die just to see another safe."

"That's a lofty title. Kami of Heroes."

Percy grinned nervously. "Well, it's pretty wide-reaching. Everyone is a hero in different ways. The blonde kid, he's a hero. So are you, and most of the people here."

Kakashi seemed incredulous, so Percy decided to prove it.

"Try to cut me. Your blade will break."

Kakashi raised an eyebrow.

"Go on."

Kakashi moved fast enough that Percy wouldn't have been able to see him if he was still mortal.

The kunai shattered, clinking as the shards hit the stone floor.

Kakashi's eyes widened, checking the chakra suppression seals.

"There are very few weapons that can injure my kind. One is in my pocket. Yes, they confiscated it but it returns to my pocket. Which is very handy."

"May I?"

Percy glanced to his left again, listening and looking at something. "Alright. Just be careful. My other cousin is a real pain when he had to regrow limbs."

Kakashi was able to pull out a bronze-colored pen and on Percy's instruction pulled off the cap, end pointing towards the window, away from all three.

It elongated into a sword and promptly slipped through his fingers, clattering to the ground, it's leaf-shaped blade glowing in the darkness of the cell.

"Sorry. Forgot about that." Percy said, wincing with the noise. "Celestial Bronze. Can't interact with anything of the mortal realm. It can't cut you any more than your steel can cut me."

Kakashi watched as the sword shrank and vanished, reappearing in Percy's pocket if the slight shift in fabric was anything to judge by.

"Now that I'm not a liar is established, can you tell me the name and location of our budding necromancer?" Percy asked, leaning forward. The bindings snapped, the chains dissolved and the wind blew through the room. "There. No no one will interrupt, Hatake Kakashi."

Kakashi sighed and sat back down. "His name was Uzumaki Nagato, aka Pein. He's the one who destroyed the village."

Percy raised an eyebrow, mirroring Kakashi's earlier expression. "A guy named Pein killed and then brought back hundreds? Why?"

"Naruto, my student, talked to him."

Percy froze. "Wait. Naruto?"

"Yes?" Kakashi said, understandably wary, fingers discreetly finding a kunai, although he already knew it was useless. Maybe the eyes?

Percy groaned and slammed his head into the table, making the Shinobi jump and leaving a sizable dent. "Oh,  gods. Jackie's gonna kill me. She's been badgering me about coming here for three months. " He turned his head and glared. "Shut up, Nico! This is your fault!"

Hermione steeled herself and walked up to Harry, looking for all the world like she wasn't about to brazenly break the rules.

"Hey, Harry?"

"Yeah?"

"Could I borrow your cloak and map?"

"Uh, sure. Why?"

"Library." Hermione lied. Luckily he believed her so she was able to sneak out of the dorms and into the castle.

It was Friday after another horrid DADA lesson and Hermione was at wit's end.

She had already proposed creating their own study group and Harry was being reluctantly dragged into it but now that he had agreed and she had several others interested it was time to hold up her end of the deal.

It was time to talk to Percy.

Around 11:30, Hermione threw the invisibility cloak around her shoulders and carefully navigated her way from the girl'ss dorm, slipping out the portrait hole and making her way towards the lake.

"Hey, Nico!"

Hermione froze as the cloak was ripped away, a brown-haired fae girl appearing out of nowhere.

"You're not Nico." She said indignantly.

"No, I'm Hermione." The witch retorted. Honestly, who was this Nico person? Was he a Fae or something else that made his magical signature similar to the Invisibility Cloak. This would require research.

"Oh, Jackie!" The fae frowned, her pointed ears just escaping her mop of brown hair. "What are you doing out of bed?"

"Oh, uh, I needed to talk to Percy." Hermione blushed red, embarrassed at being caught so easily after years of sneaking around.

Jackie's face considerably brightened. "Oh. Come on then. Most of the Kidemonas are awake so you should be able to get an audience."

The fae girl grabbed her hand and dragged her through the halls, pulling her into shadows more than once as teachers and ghosts passed by, sensing them long before Hermione did.

Instead of heading for a door, Jackie elected to instead pull Hermione towards a third-story window and picked her up, hauling her over her shoulder.

"Wait! What are you-"

Before the witch could even scream they were sailing through the air, landing with ease on the grass.

"You alright?" Jackie asked, putting Hermione down and adjusting her cloak which had gone askew in the leap.

"Yes," Hermione said shakily, looking back at the window that would kill, or at least heavily injure, anyone who fell from it.

"Here."

Hermione turned to see Jackie holding out a gold coin about the size of a two-pound coin. (I have no idea how big drachmas are but a two-pound coin is 60ish millimeters.)

"Take it. You'll need it to get through the wards."

As soon as Hermione touched the coin, the night was lit by the practically glowing camp. The Kidemonas Island that Percy had created when they settled, formerly dark with only a single campfire for light surrounded by half a dozen tents, was now brightly lit, a sprawling tent city set alight by floating lanterns. Streamers danced in the wind, strung between the tents as Guardians walked below them. She could hear the ringing of blades, and steady beat of a hammer, and the late-night chatter as they discussed their day.

"An illusion?" She asked, eyes wide, trying to take in everything.

"Our mages created a few around the camp. Come on." Jackie grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the lake.

Jackie stepped straight onto the surface of the water, her sandals glowing with faint sea-green light as the enchantments activated. "The coin will let you cross. Just hold it tight and take a step."

Hermione felt the coin in her hand heat up at her words and the water in front of her froze into ice, creating a path between the two shores.

Carefully, she stepped onto it, finding it just as steady as the grass had been, although it's translucent nature didn't do much for her confidence.

Slowly she made her way towards the camp, seeing some guardians watching her from tall posts they were sitting on, bows in hand.

Senteries.

Jackie stayed close, a shoulder to grab should Hermione feel unsure in her footing, every so often glancing at her phone as she read a message.

An eye opened under her feet as Steve lazily swam by, illuminated by the lanterns.

Finally, she stepped onto the island, a sentry calling out in ancient Greek and Jackie responding in the same language.

"Annabeth and Clarrisse know you're coming." The sentry said, blue eyes watching Hermione's every move. "They are waiting."

"Wow, Jacob. Dramatic much?" Jackie said in a deadpan.

"Dam it, Jackie!" Jacob scowled. "Why do you have to ruin my fun?"

Jackie cackled and dragged Hermione away, going past tents and the fae enjoying their evening.

She could smell barbeque, catching a glimpse of the remains a whole boar being fed to a trio of silver wolves.

In another clearing between the tents a pair of fae sparred, the source of the clanging that was more akin to a large wind chime then a sword fight due to the speed in which they struck, their bodies a blur that the spectators had no difficulty keeping up with, cheering or groaning simultaneously, calling out encouragements in Greek.

The largest tent had Percy's crest on it, a Greek shield with a sword and trident crossed behind it.

Jackie knocked on the post three times and called out in Greek.

"Go on. Their waiting." She said after a moment, moving aside and holding open the flap so the witch could pass through.

Taking a deep breath to ready herself, Hermione stepped once more into the breach.

I tried to post this Sunday but Wattpad was being screwy. Sorry for the delay. Well not really, but it sounds nice.
