Taylor's POV

I think I finally found her. I found the girl of my dreams.

It was currently a Saturday morning and I was grabbing a coffee. As I was waiting in line, my thoughts kept travelling back to Willow and the night we shared together.

I took her out for dinner and we talked about everything. She was so easy to get along with and she made me genuinely smile. I started developing feelings for her only a few days ago, but I was the type of person to immediately act on my feelings – and I wanted to ask her soon, otherwise she would be taken. Willow was admired by many different people and I knew she could never be single for long.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by a male's voice.

"Hi, how can I help you?" The barista asked.

Hold on – that barista looked awfully familiar.

"Sawyer? Since when did you work here?"

Sawyer's eyes widened once he realised who I was.
He was silent for a few moments. I had been trying to reach him all today and yesterday – why wasn't he answering me? And why did he leave the group chat?

"Maybe if you paid any attention to other people - you would have noticed." Sawyer mumbled.

Where is all this coming from?
Why is he mad at me all of a sudden?

"What's your deal?" I questioned angrily. He is accusing me out of nowhere. I have a right to be mad.

"I can't believe you don't know!" Saywer huffed.

"How am I supposed to know - when you're not telling me!" I was now shouting.

A lot of customers were focusing on me and Sawyer now.

"Hey - hey keep your voice down." Sawyer said as he scanned the on looking customers.

Sawyer pinched his temples and took a deep breath in.

"How can I help you?" He said through clenched teeth.

"Just get me a latte to takeaway." I said as I drummed my fingers on the counter.

I gave him my money and he gave me my coffee.

"Have a nice day." Sawyer smiled forcefully. I rolled my eyes, gathered my coffee and walked out.

I was just about to take a sip of my coffee when I realised that Sawyer had written something on the side of the coffee cup.

In black, scribbled letters it read -

'A best friend would listen to what their friend had to say and have enough common sense to realise what was going on'

What does that even mean?

Maybe a best friend should stop acting like a child in middle school and actually communicate what's going on.

I'm not a fucking mind reader for gods sake.
