'hospital visit' ♡
Willow's snapchat story
-
Sawyer's POV
I met with Cass, Dylan and Kaitlyn outside of the hospital.
"How is she?" Cassidy asked as soon as she reached my side.
"I haven't seen her. The doctors have been running tests on her all afternoon." I shrugged.
"Can we see her now?" Dylan mused.
I nodded and motioned for them to go inside. They all shuffled in one by one and I followed after them
"I can't believe Taylor would do that." Cassidy whispered to Kaitlyn and I couldn't help but overhear.
"He's even more selfish than I thought." Kaitlyn replied and flicked her hair off her shoulder.
"That's just the way he is." I sighed. I'd known Taylor for over half my life and I know he does things like this all the time. Half the time he would make up for not being there but a lot of the time he wouldn't. I guess you have to take him with a grain of salt.
We eventually got onto Willow's floor and found her room. The nurse let us see her but said we could only stay for half an hour.
"Hey Willow!" Cassidy said as she gave her a hug.
We all greeted Willow and sat beside her hospital bed.
"How are you doing?" Dylan inquired.
Willow looked so pale. I felt so bad. Maybe there was more I could of done to help her.
"I'm okay." Willow smiled. Her face looked as if it had been drained from all energy.
"So, do you know what happened?" Kaitlyn asked gently.
Willow gave us a sad look.
"I haven't eaten for a week." She mumbled.
Cassidy and Kaitlyn both gasped but this was no new information for me. I knew Willow was skipping meals but I didn't know it had gotten so bad that she hadn't eaten for a full week. If only I had stopped it sooner.
The room was silent except for the loud rattling of the air conditioner.
"Is that why you collapsed?" Dylan muttered.
"And I was dehydrated too." Willow whispered. She looked really ashamed of herself.
"Why?" Cassidy said quietly. She said it so quietly that it was hardly audible. Tears begun to spill out of Willow's eyes. Kaitlyn leaned over and gave Willow's shoulder a reassuring squeeze.
"It's gonna be okay. We're here for you." She cooed. Kaitlyn's eyes were also glistened with tears.
"I was so anxious. I didn't want to upset anyone." Willow croaked, her words barely coming out.
Willow always seemed to be so happy. Helping everyone else out and she constantly had a smile on her face. It's weird to find out that the 'happiest' person you knew, is actually really sad beneath their exterior.
"I didn't want to waste time eating, when I knew that there were people who expected to see me." She sniffed. Tears were now streaming down her face like a waterfall. I reached over the hospital bed and grabbed her hand. I laced her fingers between mine and she gave me a genuine look of appreciation.
